The classes are very fun and beginner friendly yet challenging. Each coach has their own style of teaching and will go through different combo exercises and conditioning workout. The coaches adjust the level of difficulty based on the level of students that show up for that specific class. Regardless what the level of student, each class will guarantee an amazing workout that pushes the mind(learning different boxing skills) and the body. The gym is very clean and has a small free weights section attached to it. Not only can one improve his/her boxing skill, one can lift weights and get stronger and fitter as well. All coaches are very qualified. Some have been boxing for decades and some are pro fighters. I have taken some private classes. I had nothing but amazing sessions. The price is very reasonable as well. $150 for basic gym membership which includes all classes and all access to the entire gym. $250 is the next level up which is what I have. It includes two 1hr private sessions per months which is easily $200 plus at other boxing gyms. Also, a pair of hand wraps and boxing gloves will be provided when signing up. Another $100 value. Personally, I lost 25 lbs since I joined the gym and on my way to my first sparring session. Shark Boxing is just AWESOME!!! For anyone who is hesitating, don't. You won't regret join this gym.

But we spent alittle over $300 there on everything! There is a $35 or $45 entrance fee depending on when you come. It's just to come inside the lagoon. If you want the obstacle course it's an additional $10 per person for 55 mins (super short). If you want to kayak, use the aqua bike or use the paddleboard it's an additional $10 per equipment/item. There is a kiddie area for small and young children. They DO NOT allow outside food or drinks except water! There is a small shop that sells misc. items, snacks & drinks (overpriced). They also had a foodtruck inside that was expensive and the meals didn't come with drinks. They do have plenty of staff and lifeguards there. The entrance fee should of been $15-20. The obstacle course atleast 90-120 mins instead of the 55 mins. Wish the foodtruck came with drinks and was a bigger portion.

My younger son joined not knowing anyone and felt welcomed almost immediately. Both of my boys felt included from day one. The staff is incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive. You can truly feel that they work hard to create a safe, joyful environment for the kids, and as a parent that means everything. The activities are fantastic: well planned, age appropriate, engaging, and fun. The natural setting is also beautiful and feels especially important these days. My boys came home with confidence, stories, friendships, and summer memories they will cherish forever. And the camp spirit is real. As usual, water in the room costs money, and there are a few other products with hidden price tags in the room, too. Surprisingly, toothbrush and toothpaste was not provided. The lap pool was my favorite part - clean and calm. There was some miscommunication between the lobby and the store, as one said there is no reservation system but there in fact was. But even when told all the lanes were fully reserved, more than half weren't in use. Parking is a bit of a hassle; for non-members it's definitely not worth it. At the time of visit, the parking machine wasn't working. There are also sperate elevators for parking vs the athletic club / hotel area which was a little confusing. The stair numbers also didn't coordinate the best with actual level.

My 13 year old son and I have both been training privately with Andrew for two years and we have had an unbelievable experience going from zero boxing knowledge to sparring in a ring. Andrew's boxing acumen is unparalleled and he has a real knack for explaining techniques to his students in a way that is easy to understand. And the workouts that he puts us through are killer. I've worked out in many fitness classes over the years and I've never sweat so much in my life. Andrew greatly increased our speed, agility, power and overall conditioning. Lo's dance moves are next-level (love you, Lo!) and Cory's motivation is unmatched, you can tell they love what they do, and it makes a huge difference in class. The studio itself offers thoughtful touches like hair ties, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, and all kinds of toiletries for anyone who wants to shower after class. I came 10 minutes before the class started, and she gave me the rundown and demonstrated the elemental punches. Next thing you know, the room is full of highly motivated people, bomb A** music, and I started to move my body quickly, throwing punches left and right. I'm a total boxing newbie, but I could still follow along and get a great sweat. You start by throwing punches without the gloves and then with them. There is also some floor work, abs, and total body movements. The last part is all you, baby, throwing punches and leaving everything behind. The facility is very organized and neat, and there are cubbies with locks on them, clean bathrooms, showers, towels, etc. You can rent or buy their hand wraps and boxing gloves. If it's your first time, you will get them for free. You can also bring your own! Parking -If you come to an early morning class, at 6 AM or 7 AM, you can find parking on the street by the meters, and you don't have to put coins in since it's free before 8 AM. This area gets bust, so if you come later, you will have to park in one of the lots nearby' there are plenty of lots in the area as this area is high tourist.

My previous experience with working out included group classes and use of some of the machines periodically in the gym. My goal with working with a trainer was just to feel and look stronger-- I'm 5'0, 100lbs. JR taught me how to properly execute many functional exercises and safely use all the machines I was weary of using by myself. He also is an expert in TRX training, so mixing that with traditional weight training really kept each session interesting. I am now confident enough to use all the machines I want to use safely and effectively. I feel a noticeable difference in my strength and endurance from working with JR and it's definitely at a faster rate than if I were to tackle my fitness goals on my own. JR is just a great guy overall. So not only is working out with him the most efficient hour of your day, but you get someone cool to talk to while you're almost dying from that last rep. Coach David Paul really pushes you to reach new levels, he will set goals for you and get you there. If I could give more than 5 stars I would not hesitate. Some other info I'm sure you would all like: Parking-street parking free, never hard to find a spot right in front. Gear-if you don't have your own gear yet and are just getting your feet wet in boxing they have gloves for you and everything! Shower- there's a shower at the gym for you to clean up before you head out. Comes in handy because you will leave the work out drenched in sweat! Water/coffee- there is a water and coffee machine for you to stay hydrated and energized. Coffee is essential for post am workouts. Gym vibes- there are all different types of people that come to the gym on all different skill levels so if your ready to do some intense sparring be ready or if you just want to learn to punch or get fit you will get a great workout! Everyone is super cool you will have a great time Training-the workouts vary from punches to push ups, from running to rowing, sparring and mitt work, if you want a six pack coach David Paul's infamous ab workout will get you there! One more thing that comes in hand when looking for the right gym. There are not any MMA classes here this is a STRICTLY BOXING AND FITNESS! Always a good vibe in the gym with great people to workout with, David keeps the size of the classes limited so everyone gets his full attention in a workout. This gym is perfect for everyone whether your a experienced boxer or a beginner looking to break a sweat. David has really helped me push myself to reach my goals these past 3 years. Just after a month at TSB I could see and feel improvement. There's also a shower in the gym (which is great for those morning workouts) and back room with couches and coffee machine. There's no parking lot but I've never had any trouble finding street parking right in front of the gym. Overall a great gym with great vibes, Coach will keep you entertained with his humor throughout a session but still make sure you leave satisfied with your workout.

I visit Lagree studios regularly and have never felt dismissed -- until Live Lagree. I asked about…read moreparking validation and the instructor Brandon W responded rudely, saying they only validate for people who buy memberships directly from the studio and that "we pay ClassPass for people to attend." That comment devalued ClassPass customers and felt discriminatory. When I said I'd contact management, he told me not to come back. Management then canceled my reservation instead of addressing the conduct. Very disappointing customer service -- other studios in the area know how to treat clients. Worth knowing before you book. Not only was the workout from his less than 1/2 full class not breaking a sweat/not a workout, but they have abysmal customer service that shows they don't care about their customers - would pass on this studio as other Lagree studios have not only better instructors where you get a good workout but they also care about their clients. ---------------------------------------------------- Update: After posting my original review, the business owner publicly responded with a message that was defensive, personal, and unprofessional -- including mocking language and references to "24-hour surveillance." Unfortunately, the tone of that reply only reinforces what I experienced in person: a lack of respect and basic customer service toward paying clients. I think it speaks volumes when a business owner chooses to attack a customer online rather than take feedback professionally. For anyone considering this studio, I'd encourage reading the owner's response yourself -- it says more about the company's culture than any review ever could. There are many other Lagree studios that handle clients with professionalism and care; I'd recommend supporting those instead. Hopefully both the staff and ownership take this as an opportunity to revisit some basic customer-service training -- even a little charm school could go a long way.

I never liked open group boxing classes -- it was hard to figure out what to do as an absolute beginner, and the environments never felt very welcoming. FightFit is the opposite of that. The coaches are terrific and they meet you where you are. They do work to find the right fit for your personality and goals, which I appreciate. Training with him three times a week never gets old. He pushes me hard, guides me through every movement, and consistently tailors each session to my evolving goals. That's the real magic of personal training: the hour is entirely focused on you. Last summer I set a goal to run a 5K, and now I'm training for a 10K in September. Alexander added endurance work right into our sessions without missing a beat. Manny is also a wonderful presence at the studio, and I'm deeply grateful the trainers and program for keeping me strong and healthy all these years. The program itself follows structured training phases, but every workout is built around your individual goals and gets more challenging as the weeks progress. The three-day-a-week commitment over sixty days is a genuine game changer. I was never someone who thrives training solo and group classes were more my thing for years, but nothing compares to the accountability and intensity of working 1:1 with a great trainer. The studio has grown too. The Study has moved to a larger space off Pico and Euclid, parking is never an issue, and the new location features a cold plunge, sauna, and a private massage room where Nayra -- a truly world-class therapist works her magic. It's a serious treat after a hard session. The space is clean, the equipment is top of the line, and the trainers are meticulous about keeping everything wiped down. The energy is positive and motivating; watching other clients show up early and stay for a run later, and push themselves harder day after day is genuinely inspiring. I finally decided to invest in private training sessions at The Study and I am so glad that I did! The Study is situated in a clean, spacious location and is even equipped with a cold tub and sauna! As someone who spent years paying for gym memberships at major health club chains, I am thrilled to have made the switch to The Study, an independently owned and operated studio that focuses on personal, customized training. The trainers helped keep me accountable for my fitness goals and customized a program that accommodated my work schedule. Alexander is a knowledgable and professional instructor who seems truly invested in the progress of his clients. He has a deep understanding of exercise physiology, and is skilled at developing workout plans that maximize results and gradually build in intensity over time. My sessions with him are always challenging yet fun. On top of that, he is pleasant to be around and easy to talk to. I always look forward to my sessions with him and I cannot recommend him enough! The Study also recently expanded their offerings to include electromyostimulation (EMS) workouts, which involve wearing a suit with built-in electrodes that target and stimulate specific muscles while you exercise. I was initially reluctant to try this out, but after completing a session led by Karen, I can say it was a unique and interesting adjunct to conventional strength training. Karen was friendly & enthusiastic and I hope to have more sessions with her in the future. I am very pleased with the progress I have made since starting at The Study. I feel stronger and more confident with each session, and give my unreserved recommendation!
