Icon Fit was my sanctuary when I was going through a breakup 2024. The retention here is strong. I look forward to seeing my afterwork and weekend morning gym crowd. Don't know anyone's names but it's comforting knowing they'll be there. The staff since I joined, has been great. The front staff always greet you and say goodbye haha. It's like when you're having a rough day and the cashier at Trader Joe's cheers you up. Even the membership card scanner says happy birthday to you! The maintenance staff is always friendly and say hello. The womens locker room is clean. There's rarely any towels just laying on surfaces in the locker room. I never see litter. Doesn't smell gross. Some lockers have broken hinges, but there's literally hundreds to choose from. I like the new glute and cardio equipment. I've taken a few classes- kickboxing with Steven and Robert and then the mobility pop-up. Steven is more cardio kickboxing while Robert is more about technique. I enjoy chatting with Robert. We always have fun convos. I want to try the cardio dance class. I feel like that would be fun. Shout out to Nic and Donovan. They were the ones who welcomed me on day 1. I miss Gabby's playlists! That being said, the disinfectant wipe order needs to increase. I go through about two wipes per workout- one when I hit the strength machines and the second one when I hit cardio. Or maybe a bottle of disinfectant like how planet fitness has disinfectant stations (2 bottles and a roll of paper towels). See you tomorrow! read more

During my time as a member, I must say I have had a great experience here. The bathrooms are well kept, they got hair dryers, mouth wash, deodorant, clean showers, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and a cold plunge. Most importantly you won't find yourself waiting long to use gym equipment, if you go at the right hours no wait for anything really. Not to mention they just got a new upgrade with equipment like the stair stepper. They offer a variety of different classes my only wish is that they could offer more in the future. I will miss coming here but hope to find my way back in the near future. read more

Ive been a member for about a year. Best decision I made last year. The facilities are great, nice crowd, great staff. I feel like it's Equinox for half the price! You should expand to new locations around LA. With that said, there is one area of improvement to work on. The lobby. It's outdated and needs a refresh. 1. The black and white photos in the lobby scream 1989. They need to go. Move the very cool "graffiti"style oversized poster to replace the black and white photos. It would look amazing. It's the perfect background for photo opportunities and Instagra. 2. The brass symbol sculpture needs to go. Its weird. It's broke. No need to prominently display something broken. Move the two randomly placed oversized black framed artwork on the back wall to replace the brass symbol thing. 3. The branches on the front counter with string lights look cheesy and cheap. They need to go. Buy 2-3 tall table lamps to go on the front counter instead. First impressions count. These small changes would significantly improve first impression of the gym. Thansk ! read more

One-of-a-kind experience! Started with an awesome kickboxing class with Todd--great beginner-friendly instruction & variety of gym equipment to enjoy. The amenities are excellent, with a cold plunge, sauna, jacuzzi, & clean bathrooms. The outdoor area is relaxing, surrounded by trees, plants, & mini waterfall. Brenda's yoga class was deeply healing to the soul. Warm, friendly welcome from Nick, Robert, & Albert--they all deserve special recognition & a pay raise soon. Upbeat music & uplifting ambiance. I've been a loyal member since this gym re-opened immediately after COVID, but in the past year or so it has really gone downhill. The women's amenities are constantly broken (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, cold plunge is less so) you name it. Every few weeks something new is out of order. These are often times the main reasons I come here, so it's incredibly frustrating to pay luxury gym prices and never know what will or won't be working. Yes, things break, but the frequency and lack of consistency at this price point is pretty insane. I have also often called the front desk to check what's working and no one can seem to give me answer. They are also strangely stingy with water. There are only three filtered water stations in the entire gym, and they have issues pretty often. There's no water in the locker rooms, so if you're using the sauna, steam room, or jacuzzi and run out, you're stuck with the sink. If I forget my water bottle, I'm forced to buy bottled water from the vending machine (and I usually don't even bring my wallet with me to the gym). I've literally had to beg the front desk for a plastic cup - that they also don't provide - which feels ridiculous at a place charging this price. The little things matter, and they've become big issues. The bathroom amenities are equally disappointing. No tampons, pads, or hair ties. Shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion are about as low quality as you can purchase, the toilet paper is the thinnest possible, half the lockers are broken and overall it just feels cheap. They also close at 9pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends which is less than ideal and creates a lot of schedule issues for myself as I'm sure for many other people as well. I will say this, the cleaning staff does an incredibly diligent job keeping stuff clean (considering people never follow the rules with hygiene in the amenities area and wear their full gym clothes WITH gym shoes on in the sauna, shower area etc. all the time) and I appreciate the effort that goes into the cleanliness of the gym. The staff is very nice. For a gym charging luxury level membership fees, it just feels really disappointing and all the issues eclipse the positives for me at this point. I'm cancelling my membership because I'm leaving the neighborhood, but honestly, I would have cancelled anyway given how poorly the gym has been maintained and managed recently. read more

Pleaseeeeeee I pray that you guys stay open later, at least until 10 PM. I oftentimes have to leave work at 8:30 and don't want to feel like I structure my schedule around IconFit's operating hours as opposed to the other way around. Especially considering how much the membership is. Otherwise I love how friendly the staff is and how I never have to wait for a machine. Everything is relatively well maintained, but I will admit I am frustrated whenever the water filtration systems refuse to work (which has happened several times I've visited). PLEASE please PLEASE stay open later. I understand an independently operated gym has fewer resources than the big chains, but I still don't understand why the gym closes at 9 because it's still busy by then. PLEASE!!!! I also wish the latest class didn't start at 6:30 PM but that's a grievance for another day. read more

I'm a big proponent of having your gym as close as possible to where u live but I'm content to go a little outta my way to train at Icon. The space it's in is ideal for a gym n is coupled with 3 hour underground parking. Large variety of cardio n weight machines, free weights, 4 free racks/ 2 Smith racks n a surplus of cable attachments. Recently just added a reverse hyper machine which is an awesome piece of equipment (won't be found in most gyms. )Sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, n cold plunge for both genders. Staff are all chill n pleasant . Crowd is mainly career professional people . Good energy n everyone is mostly locked in. No bullshit really here minus a scantily clad female here or there which you're gonna get at basically any gym these days. Bottom line is Icon is an excellent gym that's pretty much a less pretentious Equinox at half the cost. read more

Frustratingly cramped, even at the last hour that they are open simply because they've decided to put the benches/machines too close to one another. Seems like having a boxing ring and random pool table instead of more actual lifting machines is the cause. Plenty of actual area to resolve this issue if it weren't for those things being present. They also don't have nearly enough 45 lb plates for all of the benches/machines. For a gym that costs 150-180/month to be a member of this is simply selfish ownership, they could easily afford to buy enough plates. The plates are also inconsistent in size and weight so you have to double check how much each actually weighs in the low-lighting room. One of the benches is being stabilized by a 5 lb plate, which isn't exactly a good look for a "luxury gym". Far from worth the price. Don't fall for the relatively useless bells and whistles. read more

This is my favorite gym of all time. I've done 24, Gold's, and LA Fitness over the years and it's not even close. I signed up in 2015 when it was David Barton then came back in 2024 - wish I did it sooner! IconFit's staff not only sets a golden standard for gyms, but also with customer service for business. They are super knowledgeable and make me feel at home. The gym is always clean, has towel service plus refreshing eucalyptus ones, and there is plenty of equipment with usually short maintenance time. Tips to note: - Bringing your own lock will save you time and hassle over borrowing from the front desk ($6 Master Lock Black Combination Padlock for Luggage on Amazon) - 2 hour parking validation on weeknights, 3 if you ask nicely (don't be shy) - Shower before using the cold plunge (self explanatory...) If you are serious about health and SAVING TIME then this is the place for you. read more

The jacuzzi has been out of order for almost a month now. I called at the end of December to ask when it would be back and they said in a week. A week later, they said the same thing and the process has continued to repeat up until today. I called expecting the jacuzzi to be up and running but they said it would take another week. It's irritating to be given the run around on things like this. It shows extremely poor communication between management, staff and members. It's also annoying that I'm paying for an amenity that doesn't work. Please give your members an honest timeline about repairs. read more

Love this gym! Been going here a couple of years now. The staff are so friendly and the gym really has everything you could need. They have more squat racks than any gym i've been to in the area (I barely ever have to wait for one!), and also have cool amenities like a hot tub, ice bath, sauna and steam room. I used to be a member at Equinox and I honestly like IconFit better, especially for the price. There tend to be a lot more younger people, 20s and 30s, which I personally love. read more

IconFit is a classic gem in LA, perfect for a regular gym-goer. I used the facilities as a guest with my husband (a member) and the staff was welcoming, the gym had a ton of unique equipment, and the locker room was clean and orderly. My biggest complaint about most gyms is hygiene, and Icon passed the test. I prefer group fitness, but if I were to use an open gym, Icon is ideal and not too expensive. read more

I'm a former Equinox member and have been going to IconFit for a couple of months now. Here is my take: Pros: -Friendly staff and management, shoutout to Antonia for her great customer service and hospitality -Plenty of amenities (showers, lockers, sauna, etc) -Variety of classes and occasional pop up classes -Very large gym with plenty of equipment. You have 2,3 even 4 of the same machines which is great but also IconFit's biggest downfall -Plethora of cardio machines -Towels, water stations, hand sanitizer -Validated parking in parking structure -Good air conditioning and air circulation -Private reformer Pilates classes, private boxing lessons, and small rock climbing wall -Overall good alternative to Equinox Cons: -It's great that there is so much equipment and machines BUT they're extremely crammed and close together. Dangerously so. I've almost been hit in the head while working out on a bench. You really have to look out all around you when you are working out to avoid hitting someone or hitting a machine. -I find the lobby area with the unnecessary pool table to be a huge waste of space that can be beautifully utilized as another area for machines and free weights. It's a large space with wasted potential. -Misplaced and missing weights. Staff and members need to be better about re-racking -Poor lighting -Limited hours In talking to other members that agree with the crammed equipment issue, I'm hoping IcontFit can take this feedback into consideration as it would only benefit their business and increase the satisfaction of their members :) read more

Been coming to this gym for about 3 years, overall I really enjoy it here. Some things I really do not like is Parking you only get 2 hours free so hurry up and get in and get out so you do not have to pay the fee Cleaning, there is one male attending the locker room and one female attending the female locker room. They are busy and over worked with all the work. And they have to still find time to clean the rest of the gym. It looks like at closing everyone just packs up and leaves the same time the members leave same thing when they open so who is Cleaning the gym floor and machines??? They need more then people Cleaning especially how messy and gross the showers and steam room can get. Especially with how many people work the front desk a minimum 4 and 2 cleaning people working the back just do not add up read more

Let me start off by saying, I'm giving it 2 stars because I love the gym, but it could and should be so much better. I'm standing by to change this review to five stars if they make even the smallest attempt at resolving these open issues. - First and foremost, this picture is a metaphor for the gym. They printer is so out of ink from "Out of Order" signs, it's literally out of order - The cold plunge has never worked to my recollections - There are not enough plates for the equipment. You have to walk across the gym in hopes of finding a plate to add. - It's freezing on one side, warm on the other. - Machines missing clips. So again, you need to go on a hunt to find them - There is no maintenance staff I've ever seen on the gym floor. I often get there when they open and weights haven't been put back or re-racked - No enforcement of gym etiquette because of no floor staff. Hence, people leave their towels on equipment they are not using all the time - Treadmills are antiquated (but fine) - Poor use of space. Between a boxing ring and a pool table which no one uses, they are losing about 500 sq feet of usable area. - I asked if they had a Theragun to borrow...I may as well have asked for a unicorn. Why am I there: - There is a lack of traditional gyms in LA. Most are specialty - I do like the facility - I do like the array of equipment - Welcome staff is A+ - Plenty of clean towels - Parking is easy - Love the FloWater Standing by to change my review to a 5-star if they can address 1/2 of the easy fixes above. read more

Also when you first sign up they completely mislead you with the classes they offer. They are all a joke. The men's locker room it's disgusting and very very dated. Showers and steam room are full of mold and gunk. Out of all employees ONE was nice. The rest are rude and always seem bothered. Especially the manager. Even the cleaning crew is RUDE, made a comment in Spanish about me. Little did they know I'm fluent I'd avoid, far better deals in the area with updated and clean amenities. read more

The first gym I ever went to was the Sport Club LA as a kid. So when I say this gym has everything anyone could need, it is through the lens of someone who has been disappointed by every single gym he has ever been to. It is also the ONLY gym I know of that has a cold plunge. Having a spa, sauna AND steam room is standard expectation for me so IconFit satisfies this requirement. Trainers are good and knowledgeable, classes are energetic and effective and there's even live DJ's several times per month. All this for less than half the price of an Equinox membership should be enough for anyone who wants a high-end gym experience. 5/5 Fully recommend to anyone. read more

This place has gone downhill. Way too packed at all times, prices keep going up without warning / notice, management used to be flexible / supportive and that's no longer the case. Tried to cancel because I was injured a few months ago and despite my best efforts to rally and return to the gym I haven't been able to do it. Rather than any sort of empathy, I was informed that there's a 30 day cancellation notice so I was going to be charged AGAIN for the next 30 days. Absolutely zero flexibility on their end -- how does it make sense to tack on another 30 days once someone has decided to cancel? I'm sorry to say but that's a rather predatory practice. read more

I was a member here for a few months and really enjoyed this gym. They have 2 large rooms for stretching or quiet time, a nice locker room, and great machines. The best part is the staff. Everyone, from the cleaners to the front desk, is friendly and helpful! They went out of their way to answer my questions, which really stood out. The equipment and plates here are all a variety of hodge-podge, making it difficult to work out if you have specific lifts you want to do every day, rather than just putz around randomly on machines. The selection of equipment, especially the specific amount of machines is a bit curious, lots of overlap on some, and only one on others. Way too expensive for what is being offered. Additionally if you want to cancel its thirty days notice, AND you have to come into the gym, which is ridiculous in this day and age. read more

The people at the gym are all extremely friendly and always have a smile on their face. its been over year since I've joined IconFit and I am so glad that I did! I'm here almost every single day, sometimes even twice in one day. It helps that the staff are very welcoming. This gym has everything I need... weights, squat racks, cables, you name it . I'm huge fan of the new turf area, which allows me to do all of my functional training . This place has a steam room, sauna, and a cold plunge! My recovery sessions are top notch. Plus... validated parking. I definitely recommend this gym. I love it here! read more

Just okay. Thought this would be a more high end gym considering it costs 4x more than my previous gym. Probably won't continue my membership because of the loud music, Its way too loud every day. The staff plays horrible EDM music with heavy bass and you can't even hear your own music. God forbid you want to listen to a podcast. The Thursday boxing also class keeps the door wide open with the music full volume and it's literally like listening to 3 songs at once. Ive asked the staff to turn down the music, which they do but they're usually busy chatting with friends or playing pool. Usually tough to find someone working during evenings. The layout is also interesting. Like a poor use of space. And always seems like you're gonna run into someone especially near the squat racks. read more

Out of all fitness clubs and gyms in LA this is the best option in my opinion. The gym has everything you need from free weights, squat racks, spin studio, boxing ring, yoga/mobility, cardio and a solid locker room with sauna, cuzzi, cold plunge. Culturally, the place rocks - everyone is in there to get shit done and take care of business. Price wise it's very competitive and way cheaper than equinox, Bay club and John Reed. If you're located on the west side, icon is a good fit because it's close to the free way and between Santa Monica, sawtelle and Brentwood. Icon rips. read more

Clean Gym, but they keep changing the ownerships, and each time it keeps getting worse and worse. The manager and people working there have zero people skills and have no idea what they are doing. Which creates a bad atmosphere and energy. ( I wouldn't even hire them to work behind the counter at the super market.) And they keep just raising the fee, so at this point I rather pay a bit more and join equinox. where you actually are surrounded with ppl that motivates you rather than the whole scene they have going on at the iconFit. read more
