This place was pretty cool. Almost like a secret room upstairs. Great vibe and amazing (expensive) craft cocktails. One of the best drinks we've each had in a while. Staff was fantastic.

Beautiful bar in the Tampa Edition Hotel. The ambiance is effortlessly moody and cozy, and one of the first things I noticed was how good it smelled inside. The lounge seating is comfortable and well spaced apart. The bartender gave us great recommendations based on our taste, and actually gave me a drink off of their mocktail menu with added gin which I thought was very creative. They also gave us waters to go with our drinks which was very kind. If you are looking for an elevated space for cozy conversations and great drinks, try the Punch Room!

The Punch Room is always a go-to when looking for an intimate, elevated cocktail experience. The atmosphere is so moody yet cozy, and makes your evening feel that much more special. The server greets you with a complimentary sample of a punch for the evening before ordering. We got the California punch which was delightful! Such amazing blends of flavors every time.

Sexy, beautiful spot hidden in the Edison hotel. We loved it. Everything we tried was amazing, and the whole vibe made you want to stay and hang out for hours. Note, no real food options, just bar snacks, so know before you go.

Came here on a 1st date. Definitely was the right space and vibe for one. The menus were a great ice breaker to use as conversational pieces. We received a random welcome shot which is random but cool! After, we ordered two rounds of drinks. The second round I didn't like my drink and got a different one recommended by another server/bartender. My date definitely enjoyed the chickpea complimentary snack. My date mentioned how they didn't add that drink on the bill. We were both shocked . Definitely will be returning with my friends.

$25 cocktails, $25 cocktails, $25 cocktails, $25 cocktails, $25 cocktails, $25 cocktails, $25 cocktails. I can't stress this enough. It isn't even like you get massively over poured or the drinks are out of this world delicious. Instead it feels like you're being massively ripped off. The decor is very good, but this place really isn't my scene. You can at least cuddle up with a date, but you're better off drinking outside on the street at one of the many outdoor seating spots along Water St. Way over priced. Won't be back. You're better off at Arts room across the hall.

You're in for a treat when stopping at the Punch Room for a cocktail. The service is amazing, the mixologist takes the time to learn about what you like and make a recommendation. Alma de Mexico - such a refreshing cocktail with a nice punch. Principe de Gales, Cuba - my favorite! If you enjoy Old Fashioned or Manhattan, you'll love the perfumed smoke. The ambience is like a speakeasy. Highly recommend getting the bowl. Cheers!

This is a great spot for a ladies night or an intimate date night. I really love the decor. It reminds be of a speakeasy. Especially with the fire place! Reservations are recommended! I made them a month in advance with my reservation to the rooftop restaurant. You need a reservation to go to anywhere in the edition. I love the concept of the punch room. It is exactly as it sounds. We were greeted with a welcome mini drink and that was a nice preview of what they offered. The punches were $25 pp so we had 7 people we got two punches and everyone paid $25 each. It was plenty to go around. We got the rose punch and the Tampa punch. The rose was on the sweeter side with floral notes and the Tampa had a Smokey mezcal taste. Both were delicious. The only thing I wish they had was dessert. That would be a perfect to go with the punches. Great service!

Elegant. Innovative. Intimate. Private. These words all describe Punch Room and it is unlike many things in Tampa. It feels like you've escaped from a growing city and into a real one. The cocktails pay homage to history of Tampa with unique drink selections, all featuring different punches. The menu took months to develop. The service was superb with a friendly server and staff that was exactly what you would expect at a high-end hotel. I loved the decor, the chairs, fireplace, the stunning bar, and everything else about the ambiance in the lounge. The price is $25 per drink (+ gratuity) so this isn't a place you will go and save any money, that's for sure. I thought the drinks were superb, but I also wouldn't be shocked if other people in Tampa disagreed with the price-point and I think it's fair to say that the prices are not approachable to most citizens of Tampa. I am willing to pay for quality and the quality was definitely there at The Punch Room. Hopefully they will maintain that quality along the way. For many The Punch Room at Tampa EDITION may only be for a special occasion, anniversary, or birthday gathering, and that's a little unfortunate from an accessibility point-of-view. I believe locals should also be able to partake in Tampa's future without breaking the bank. There should be a locals night or happy hour that only goes to citizens of Tampa to help them also enjoy the new things in town without being left behind. The reservation system is a little screwy, you have to make a reservation online and they will call to confirm, but I was promptly on time at 7 p.m. for my reservation and the place was completely empty. They'll have to figure out how to solve that problem.

If you like pretty cocktail lounges you'll love this place. It's small and pretty. Quiet. Nice place for a date or a girls not out. No food options and very small inside. I made a reservation for a Friday night in late July, didn't need them as it was fairly empty.

Beautifully designed location for an intimate drinking experience with your date or friends. While there, some were pre-gaming for the Tampa Bay Lightning game, some on a date, a family reunion during the Christmas week, some who live in the condo that is part of Edition: Tampa. All having a great time. Professional & friendly server. All punches and drinks made fresh at the bar at one of the room. The lighting and colors of the furniture are striking. Quiet area where you're not rushed and can have a conversation without yelling or hearing another table's conversation. I'll definitely go back.

A nice intimate tucked away lounge on the 2nd floor of the edition. I was a bit underwhelmed with the space, as Instagram made it seem a bit bigger and bolder than what it was. The menu serves a diverse array of punches inspired by the carribean. The only reason I would come back would be to enjoy the sailors cup. It is honestly the best drink I've ever had in my life. I will say each drink is priced at 25 dollars each. Do with that info what you will. No small bites and no single bar seating. Service was attentive and we were very well taken care of.

It's got that all-around fun, energetic atmosphere that makes it a solid choice for drinks. Not sure how it is during the week, but it would make for a fun date night spot to grab some cocktails. That said, I had a real hang-up the last time I went with my girlfriend around Christmas. They tried to hit us with a $10 cover just to get in, on top of $15-20 cocktails. I don't mind paying for a nice spot, but the cover felt absurd, especially since it wasn't even busy. The bouncer said we could make a reservation to avoid it, so I did...and then he made us stand outside forever before letting us in. At that point, we should've just left, but since my friend had never been, we stuck it out to try the themed Christmas cocktails. Once inside, there was a two-drink minimum per person, which is kind of crazy. It feels like they jip you either way...cover or no cover, minimum spend or not. While waiting outside (for no real reason, since it was empty), we chatted with a party of six who came straight from Ash (the sister restaurant upstairs). They'd just spent over $1,000 on their meal and were still getting charged a cover to enter Alter Ego. That's poor business, don't force extra fees to guarantee money when good music, drinks, and vibes should bring people in naturally and make them want to spend. There's plenty of places on Water Street with great (and I'd say better) cocktails where you're not forced into minimums or covers. The Christmas cocktail menu was disappointing too, poor selections and way too sugary. Love the potential here, but the strict policies really turned me off and made me want to go elsewhere next time.

Due to the error of their end we asked for him to streamline our names on the waitlist and he became combative and told us that he was not comfortable serving us and asked us to leave. The ambiance was nice. A lot of eclectic paintings on the walls. And loved the outfits of the servers. Very 20's speakeasy. There is a live jazz band that started performing at 7 pm. They were good but at some points it was a bit difficult to speak and listen to those at your table unless you got really close. My meal hit the spot. We started with a charcuterie board for the table. It had a lot of great options like dried apricots, actual honeycomb pieces, and my most favorite cheese, some Brie cheese. The only thing was there was only 4 pieces of bread, one for each of us, which wasn't enough but I guess it made sense not to fill us up too much. For my main meal I had the sweet potato salad which was very tasty and the sweet potato risotto, which a little spicy kick. The only thing I missed was the Brussels sprouts and potatoes but was told that was from the previous chef. But they serve you enough so you definitely will have left overs. Not a big fan of eating in the lounge areas, those are best just for drinks and maybe desserts. But it's definitely a great place to people watch. You will definitely have a meal and a show no matter what. Hopefully can schedule another time to bring my family because I know they would love it.

From start to finish, everything was exceptional and our server Jill absolutely made the evening. Jill spent so much time with us, thoughtfully walking us through the menu and helping us choose dishes based on what we actually like. She explained that the servers "tag team" tables at Ash; if one server is tied up at a table, another jumps in to check on guests so no one feels forgotten. Such a smart system, and you could really feel the level of hospitality. Jill's recommendations were spot on. We are not big bread people and honestly don't even usually like focaccia, but she insisted we order the focaccia with whipped ricotta and herb oil. I'm still thinking about it. Calling it focaccia almost feels inaccurate; it was unlike any bread I've ever had. More like a piece of heaven. We started with the hamachi, which had the perfect amount of spice -flavorful and fresh without being overpowering. For dinner, we ordered the chicken cutlets and two pasta dishes: the strozzapreti with wagyu beef cheek and hazelnuts, and the mafalde with black truffle, miso, and cacio e pepe. Both pastas were incredible: rich in flavor but still delicate and not overly heavy or filling. Just perfect. We also tried the "perfect skinny margarita," and the name fits: not too sweet, not too tart, just really balanced and delicious. And because we are serious dessert people, we couldn't leave without trying dessert. The marzipan sundae and namelaka absolutely delivered. We don't indulge often, but this meal was 100% worth the calories. If you haven't booked Ash yet, highly recommend. Exceptional food, incredible service, and a dining experience that actually lives up to the hype.
