Thought we'd drop by to see how it compares to the main lounge upstairs. It is small, you have to line up for coffee, which was a bit annoying. Yes, there is a proper bar where a bartender will pour you a drink but again you line up and if it's busy you'll be waiting. There is a large refrigerator case of plastic take away and brown box grab and go small bites and wraps,etc but it feels somewhat like a 7-Eleven. It does not look super appetizing but I do concede that there are more take away options than upstairs which have no take out containers. I guess this is designed for non business class flyers who don't get or want the onboard food selection? It is new and the contemporary decor is a welcome change from the somewhat tired appearance of the main lounge, but it is a small cafe with a limited number of tables and seating (some at the bar). The cafe itself was very good but what made it not a five star experience was the check in person working at the front. She really ruined the experience for us right from the start with her constant huffing and puffing expressing her annoyance with our group. She did not leave a great first impression for this cafe prior to entering - thank goodness the cafe made up for it with it's comfort, variety and concept. You can get things like drinks, cheese, oats, fruit, wraps, veggies, salads, and more - all already packed in their to go containers. Definitely worth checking out!
