The place was just OK. However, it was not a very recommendable destination. It has the whole fast food thing going for it with all the product merchandising and branding found in the store. The place is apparently a Dubai-based quick serve restaurant that has recently been slowly expanding its overseas presence. I would not count its signature product, the fried chicken, as one of the best ones available in the market. The skin is not one of the crunchiest or most flavorful. The white meat is not one of the most juiciest. I did appreciate that they have tandoori fries available as one of the sides. It is just regular french fries sprinkled with tandoori powder. Their crunchy meal pack available for $14.99 is a good go-to to be able to sample most of what they have to offer. The meal platter includes a chicken sandwich, a chicken piece, 2 sides, and a drink. Despite no single menu item standing out in terms of taste, it was still relatively good value price-wise.

This fried chicken restaurant is at their second location in the GTA with a grand opening on 2022-09-30. The chain started about 20 years ago in Dubai and has spread to many countries. During grand opening day, the first 100 got one drumstick and one biscuit. There are contests and prizes Their chicken is tender and delicious. There is no free WiFi but you can use the free WiFi from Ikkousha next door. There will be free WiFi very soon. There restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms in the basement (hence not wheelchair accessible). There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2022-112

    Chicken sandwich and fries!

I was pretty stoked when I walked by a brand new (I haven't been back in Toronto since 2019, so new to me) fast food place dedicated to chicken so of course I stopped what I was doing and headed on in. This place looks like a fast food place, but it was pretty nice and the menu hanging up was showing all the sides, nuggets, strips, and sandwiches a chicken lover could possibly want. I knew I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich so I went with the longer style sandwich with two pieces of chicken in it, almost kind of resembled the original chicken sandwich from Burger King with a side of French fries on the side. The staff was quick and the food was out in under three minutes while I grabbed a table. I gotta mention the French fries first as they were top notch to say the least. The fries were on the softer side but had great flavour to them. The chicken sandwich itself wasn't going to win any city awards but I sure did enjoy it for what it was. I would honestly rather eat a chicken sandwich from this place rather than McDonalds or Wendy's, but I would still probably go with Popeyes if it was an option. The sandwich was solid enough and I would definitely roll through again to try the fried chicken and some more sandwiches. Overall, I was a fan of this place and thought both the food and presentation was really good. This place was solid for a fast food alternative and gained a fan in me. Like chicken in Toronto? Give these guys a try!

Honestly . . . Skip it. The place is dirty. The staff could care less. She was on the phone the entire time she took my order and had zero clue what she was talking about. They advertise chicken that looks good. I asked for it and what came out were frozen Chicken nuggets you can get at the grocery store. The fries were legit just sitting out in the open and they served them to me. They were not the least bit warm. Barley ate any. The only redeeming thing was the chicken sandwich, the chicken was real and juicy and that was about it. The sauce was over powering. The bread was oddly grey. Beyond that this was a terrible experience and I truly think you would enjoy McDonalds more than this place.

Got the: - 3 Pcs Fried Chicken Spicy ($8.99) - Tandoori Fries Regular ($2.99) Overall, chicken was pretty decent - it was fresh and crispy. The tandoori fries are regular fries with some tandoori like seasoning powder sprinkled over it. The "Spicy" chicken is quite spicy. There are also daily specials for $5. I ordered online for pickup and the order did take a while - would recommend to order ahead if possible.

Well, this location is super busy so my advice avoid waiting in line and order in advance via their website. I was in line and I decided to order in line. It is a bit slow but definitely better than waiting in line. The quality of their food is consistent with their other branches and I gotta say that I loved every bite of it! Their fries are amazing. All in all I think it's the best place Downtown Toronto.

Just a heads up though, if you order "mild" it is still definitely spicy, but in a good way. That said, the service was a big downside. When I went with friends, the place was not even busy, but it still took about 20 minutes for our food to come out (yes I counted because we were in a rush). We only ordered two tenders with no drink. For something that feels like fast food, that is pretty unreasonable. I also went specifically to try the mozzarella sticks, but we were told they had not even started making them and it would take another 40 minutes, which is kind of wild. Even when our food was ready, things moved really slowly. The cashier took SEVERAL minutes just labeling and staring at each box, even though we all ordered the same thing, and then another minute just to put everything into a paper bag. Maybe it was his first day? Another frustrating part was that the washrooms were locked, so we could not even use them while we were there, which was a mild inconvenience, but I think bathroom access in a spicy chicken shop is a bit crucial. On top of that, it is pretty expensive for what you get. Overall, the food is the only thing really saving this place. It tastes incredible, but because of the slow service, locked washrooms, and high prices, I probably would not go back.

Overall, my experience was alright. Nothing screamed out "Oh I have to go again!" or "let me tell…read moresomeone about this!". The piece of chicken on my sandwich was a rather peculiar piece in terms of its shape. It did not provide an enjoyable eating experience. When I took my first bite, after figuring out which would be an easy bite, a piece of chicken fell out which made me realize it was two separate pieces of chicken inbetween two buns. It got rather messy after having to pick up the fallen pieces. Other than that, it was flavorful but wasn't the best I've had. I prefer Dave's Hot Chicken over this. My fries were pretty salty. If given the option, I would have requested lightly salted or no salt at all. Space was small but understandable as it seemed to be a carry-out spot. Customer service wasn't quite all that. The girl took our order and that was it. Not much of a greeting nor farewell/thanks for coming. We didn't receive a follow-up during our meal to see if we may needed anything. I would have benefited from extra napkins. My friend enjoyed his meal. He stated it was a good meal but he wouldn't go out of his way to get this. He would have preferred to uber-eats it if he lived here. What made me want to go was the name. My last name is the same as the restaurant name so I figured give it a go! Also saw positive reviews on TikTok.

Toasted bun, very nicely constructed, very tender perfectly cooked chicken. We had it spice level HOT the last time we were here and it was just spicy enough to get the lips warm but not enough to overwhelm. The Szechuan taste is a brilliant partner for this southern classic. You can eat in at the counter, or in the summer the patio is a nice place to enjoy your sandwich in peace and soak in the busy Queen West energy just up the street. Love this place, the staff give off a good vibe.

Same concept and menu as the Queen Street location. Friendly and welcoming as soon I enter the restaurant. Great for small groups and solo diners as well. Very easy and efficient way to place your order. I got my usual, Signature Tonkotsu ($16) with a flavoured egg (+$3). It did not disappoint. Very good and flavourful broth without being too salty. A+ for the noodles and added to garlic which enhanced overall taste. Highly recommend checking out this ramen spot! Great addition to Yonge and Dundas.

This location is newer but retains the same seating format inside as its predecessors. First thing I noticed sitting down was how inflation absolutely drove these prices through the roof since the last time I had a bowl. Got myself a tonkotsu broth (totally missed the gyokai option ... only realized once I started eating and casually glanced back over at my sheet). Added premium toppings and held off on the gyozas this time around. Some things to note. They removed some condiments from the table. The pickled ginger, bamboo, mustard greens and garlic all used to be available ON the table for me to grab as a customer. Now the waitress just asks you if you want them when she's grabbing your order sheet. I think they should revert to having those items back on the table. I'm still able to grind my own sesame seeds into my ramen at the table which is great. Taste-wise, the bowl was delicious and reconfirmed to me why Ikkousha belongs in my top 5 list for toronto ramen. Value though? That's another story... My bowl of ramen with premium toppings and a serving of extra noodles was ~ $30 after tax and tip which is wild tbh. I don't think any other ramen place is charging that or more except Hokkaido Ramen Santouka (which I would argue has debatable value as a diner because of their super small portions). Yes, as a resto owner you account for inflation but I can't help feeling that the current pricing has gone past the inflation curve. 5 star ramen, 2 star pricing/value. The quality was excellent hence the 5 stars, but mentally I HAVE to drop a star because the price is just too high to ignore.
