Randomly stopped in for a quick lunch that used to be JK Dumpling (which I also liked). Much more interesting than the other food options in the plaza (Five Guys, BBQ, Pizza). Had the ubiquitous Pernil, but you know a place does it right if they give you a bit of crispy skin along with the slow cooked meat. I also appreciated the piping hot rice and red beans. Went here today to celebrate my daughter's father's birthday. I called in advance to make sure that they were open as stated online, and I asked the woman on the phone if it was a food place ro celebrate a birthday. She said no because it was tiny unless I was coming with less than 6 people. Thankfully it was just 2 kids and two adults so she said she will hold the seats for us. The place was VERY small. But it was clean, the service and kindness was great, and the food was AMAZING!! I had some chicharrón de pollo, bistec encebollado, and yuca. Lick my fingers good!! My 12 year old girl ate every piece of oxtail. Everyone enjoyed the food and they made us feel at home, which I loved. Even my ex husband who is Dominican and EXTREMELY picky, said it was great dominican food. I will definitely be there again. And the bill for 2 appetizers, 3 meals, 2 morir soñandos, and a country club soda was less than $70. And we had massive leftovers. Very happy customer! read more

The food is Okay, I do not like the service, it was very slow, they should have a staff in the front that knows more about serving food, I had to remind the guy to give me the beans that comes with lunch special, they did not give me any utensils/napkins, etc. Hopefully this changes because we needed a good Spanish restaurant around the area. read more

God awful! By definition sweet fried plantains are supposed to be Carmelized and sweet, no? Just had dinner with my mom and dad. The place is adorable and much-needed. The staff was super-friendly and accommodating. There's a small eating area--but it's definitely geared towards a take-out spot. I went in for dinner and they had specials on the board. Pricing was just slight above Washington Heights but expected since we're in NJ. The meal was good...I had chicharon de pollo and put a bit of lime on it...yummy. The rice was well-cooked and the beans were tasty (not overly seasoned or spiced). My mom had the mofongo and it looked good. The sweet plantains were less ripe than I'm used to--but still good. They also have Country Club soda--a great Dominican staple. The meal also came with a salad and the dressing was light and not heavy or creamy--I liked it. Hoping to go back and try other meals and see what specials they have on rotation. Am also curious about the habichuelas dulce...stay tuned. read more

I just love this place...thank God theres this place here in fort lee. My favorite mangu, constillas de res and oxtail really really good. I know they've just newly opened and i must say getting improved as the days and months ahead. I would love to get more varieties in the future but for now im contented with my top 3 dishes i love... May i suggest that soon they will include maybe two to three pieces of my maduros if i buy there Lunch and dinner special for me that will be your selling strategy as i have experience that in the Bronx when i lived there before. I love this place. The food is very good and the fact that it is a family owned and run business is a plus for me. I usually have to go 3 towns over to get some Spanish food and was thrilled when this place opened. They try to be as accommodating as the can be with the high demand that the area has for this type of food. The food is excellent and the perfect place to stop by and get a nice bite to eat for the family. Plan on coming by as often as I can! read more
