I bought my dog Owen on 8/21/25 a Pomapoo. I had been in before with my grandson but that day apparently every puppy had just pooped and the place smelled so bad my 6 yr. old grandson couldn't stand it so we left. I kept checking online to see if the puppy I liked that day was still available and after a week or so went back to get him. The staff there were nice and helpful although once I paid they completely ignored me so I just left. Anyway I just read a review by Katie L. and my puppy had Giardia as well. When I called and asked for reimbursement on the medication my vet had to prescribe I was told it was a common thing and that my vet overcharged and they were not responsible for anything. I then went through all the medical records and saw their vet had treated him for it a couple weeks earlier and his last fecal showed it was gone. He ended up getting it an additional 2 more times since. They never told me he had had it or that other puppies there had been treated for it. I probably wouldn't have bought him if I had known that. Owen is now 11 months old and doesn't eat well at all. I've tried dozens of different dog foods and he refuses to eat any of them except one but he'll only eat that out of a treat dispenser. He doesn't even like human food. I'm guessing all the treatments have messed up his stomach and I'm afraid of the other long term effects this may have on his body. He was brought to NH from Tennessee so I'm wondering what kind of breeder he came from. No real info on parents either. read more

Honest review I purchased my dog Sonny on 5/5/25, a male golden retriever. Staff on site were friendly and willing to take the time to answer questions. When I took Sonny home I immediately noticed soft-loose and pale colored stool. Thankfully I had a vet appointment set up two days later to get him established. A fecal float test done at that time indicated round worm and Giardia. I called puppies on the run 5/9/25 to make aware/make the families of other puppies aware- which they agreed to do. Unfortunately in my dogs case, he is having a hard time shaking the Giardia and is now on his third round of medication (despite all other efforts i.e disinfecting, bathing, probiotics, relocating his toileting areas, you name it). Since Giardia has an incubation period of 5-14 days, and his symptoms were present within hours of taking him home, the timeline indicates he contracted this prior to bringing him home. I do understand he is a puppy and this is a common enough parasite, albeit a pesky one to get rid of. So, I reached out to puppies on the run again and asked for compensation for related vet bills (since this is considered a preexisting condition, it is not covered by his insurance). This is when I was directed to Selena and had a less than ideal interaction. I was met truthfully with condescension and resistance. We had multiple email exchanges where she stated no responsibility and that my dog had only solid stool while in their care. I provided vet records and asked her in exchange for any records related to his stool- which she could not provide. She asserted the real culprit is my vet stating "had your vet been as proactive in retesting as they were with the initial over-vaccinations, you might have been able to prevent this situation from escalating". For context Sonny was retested between 2-3 weeks after each round of medication, which is the recommended standard. She also inferred my request was not valid as "parasite treatment is usually not costly" and is usually easy to get rid of in one shot. Both I have found to be untrue. It's also worth noting she would not confirm they notified any other families of the puppies there, so if you purchased around early May just be aware. I do see a post here updated around the time I brought Sonny home where a puppy had the same issue- which I brought up to Selena but it was not addressed. My position is that I assume responsibility for my dog and any medical issues that may arise while he is in my care. I understand that this is an easily contractible parasite but it certainly has been difficult to get rid of. I also understand that puppies on the run wouldn't have intentionally caused this, but the fact remains he had it while in their care, and was sold to me while clearly having symptoms. I was hoping puppies on the run would stand by the health of their animals, and take the steps to help a new puppy owner. Do not get a puppy from this location. I bought my puppy from them this last spring and she has been diagnosed with a genetic and diabilitating disease. My puppy will be in pain for the rest of her life and her medical care will be costly. Puppies On The Run is not willing to refund my money. I sent them my Vet report with x-rays which makes it clear that my puppy will need medical attention for the rest of her life. They were asked to not get puppies from the breeder that my pup came from and/or to work with the breeder so that the Hip Dysplasia breeding pair doesn't breed again and the response that I got was that tge breeder is a "responsible" breeder. When I reached out to the breeder he didn't know what Hip Dysplasia was nor did he know how his puppy (from Indiana) got to NH for purchase. We were very excited to bring our new addition home. In less than 96 hrs he was acutely ill and at the emergency vet with a diagnosis of parvo and an estimate of nearly $10,000 for treatment. Based on the incubation period of parvo he had contracted this at the store before we adopted him. Thousands of dollars later and our puppy has gone over the rainbow bridge. No doubt every other puppy in that facility right now has been exposed but upon notifying the store management, their only concern was "prove it" and send paperwork to us. Be very careful before you bring any puppies home from this store, as our home, yard, and older dog are now exposed to parvo and decontamination is a nightmare. read more

We got Louie a year ago, we got paperwork of where he came from (hate to disappoint it wasn't a puppy mill but a breeder), he was never drugged, he was a normal healthy puppy (as described by our vet 2 days after we got him). We went specifically to snuggle puppies. I was relieved that they are concerned for the pups health & safety as all visitors must put disposable shoe covers on and use hand sanitizer before they handle any of the dogs. The place was very clean and the employees were very attentive to the condition of the pens the puppies were in. If a person is concerned about breeder information or litter health history for a puppy, they should be buying directly from a reputable breeder. This place is a clear supporter of puppy mills. Got my dog from here, came with ear mites, giardia, and low vitamins. Was a long, long road to getting him healthy, only to be slammed with his heart disease diagnosis - that is HEREDITARY. Any reputable breeder tests their dogs for this, and stops breeding the dogs. in hindsight, no reputable breeder would ever sell their pups to a puppy shop either. You can look at the reviews here, and even the hidden one (Who also, had her dog with a heart issue!), you can also look at the BBB, and probably their facebook page too. This place has a clear history of sick dogs, it's certainly not a one off. However, no matter what sickness my dog has, I would never, ever, ever give him up. He has imprinted on us and I will be doing everything I can for this dog, come hell or high water. I was hoping not to have to make a review but after giving POTN a week to reply I have decided to share my experience. On Wednesday March 24th I picked up our second POTN boxer, I got to visit with her for a while while there since there was a gentleman before me also purchasing a puppy. While there two of the ladies mentioned that "Sunkist" sometimes sneezed and made grunting type noises but that she was healthy and was because she is a boxer. As a boxer owner, neither of those things concerned me as boxers are a short nosed breed who tend to sneeze and make noises and I hadn't heard her do anything of the sort while spending time with her, she had also been seen by their vet multiple times and by the breeders vet as well. Once in the car and down the road she was making gasping sounds and halfway through the drive was also bubbling from her nostrils. Next day when we fed her her breakfast she was choking on the pieces because she was struggling to breathe and eat! After going outside later and her doing almost nothing but still being extremely winded and once again foaming from her nose (in between these incidents she was still gasping/choking anytime she moved around) I brought her to our vet on the 26th who confirmed it was not normal. As someone with puppy/dog knowledge (including selling) I would have never sent a dog home making the sounds she was making, let alone say she was "perfectly healthy". I sent POTR an email also on the 26th explaining the situation but saying I was not interested in returning "Sunkist" (now named Emma) or in any money but that i was disappointed in the situation. After a week now they have not responded, I never had a problem with them responding when I was purchasing either of my puppies but now that it's an email with a problem with one of their puppies they don't respond? We had a great experience with our first back in January but this has pretty much ruined it and we will not be recommending them anymore. Update: after leaving the review on their FB page and another email, I STILL have not heard from POTR. read more

Do you want to walk in and buy a cute puppy no questions asked like an annoying breeder would ask then you go to a puppy store everyone knows that. If you think a "reputable breeder" is so much better than this store then why did you even go here to begin with? Because you didn't want to deal with a breeder you wanted a quick easy buy. Everyone knows that 70% of puppies in pet stores are healthy and 30% are sick that's just the way it is with a pet store you take your chances and if you don't like those odds go to a damn breeder and stop complaining no one asked you to walk into the store and buy a dog. This is 2019 pet stores have sick dogs and most stores sell puppy mill dogs get a grip please. With all that being said I bought 2 dogs from this store one was sick and got better the other was fine. Vets take advantage of new dog owners sometimes and you have to go to a "reputable vet" . Sorry veterinarians are not doctors they don't have your best interest in mind sometimes it's just your money that's on there mind and they like to up-charge you. As soon as a vet hears you bought a puppy from a pet store they overcharge you for a dog with a common cold. I love my Pets as much as the next person but paying more money on a vet bill than you did for the actual puppy is insane. read more

Absolutely horrific experience. Terrible customer service. They hung up on my sister when she was in the middle of asking a question. We were told on Tuesday to send an email to secure a dog, as well as call at 10 am on Thursday, to ensure that we could place a deposit to no avail. They answered my own call at 9:58 am, before they even open, and stated that they had already sold out of the puppies they claimed wouldn't be available before 10 am. I am so sad to write this but I got a puppy from this place. They provided me medical records for a puppy that was 4 months old and mine was only 11 weeks old and claimed it was the same dog. I was given a shot record that showed the same medication being given 3 times in a 20 day period along with some other antibiotic they gave my healthy puppy. Why does a healthy puppy need an antibiotic? At first I was told it was "human error" then I was told the vet "rounded up" the dogs age?!?! Neither makes sense. My personal vet was so disturbed by this we decided to just start the whole vaccine process over to make sure my puppy was safe. We don't even know whose records we were given. They do not do background checks when they sell their puppies it's a mall pet store essentially. The owner was extremely rude and insensitive and bullying to me. Other information i gathered showed puppies on the run uses multiple puppy mills to get their puppies!!! We love our puppy but wish i was more insistent on where she was coming from. Terrible experience. Puppies had fleas and when staff was notified, became very argumentative denying that two puppies had fleas. One staff member applied a flea treatment to the fur of the puppy and did not notify any of the customers, nor did she post any notification on or near the pen in which the puppy was held in and open to hold and interact with. Consequently and upon interaction with said puppy, the chemicals got into my eyes and all over my child's skin. Once again, the staff member became relentless, condescending and argumentative. Staff was rude when approached with concerns regarding my puppy's health. The vet they set me up with dropped the ball and I had to go to two other vets and through $8000 to get her diagnosed and treated for recessed vulva, recurrent UTIs, pyelonephritis, and congenital renal dysplasia. They claimed they had never heard of the diagnoses and so it must be fake and I needed to go back to their vet (who almost killed her during the spay they pressured me into early). Also claimed her prognosis of 8 years or less is the normal life expectancy for a boxer. NOT TRUE. I was not there to place blame or look for money. I was simply there to let them know in case this was an issue they should look into with their vet/breeder. Instead of expressing empathy or apologizing for my dogs health they tried to place the blame on me. "What are you feeding her?" The food they set me up with... "well are you taking her out enough?" Yes... and enrolled in training classes for her benefit. And took her to the dog parks regularly... and never left her in the crate for more than four hours at a time. "How many opinions did you get?" Ask my bank account $8000 later with CT scans, blood work, ultrasounds....... no longer a fan of puppies on the run. read more

I've had my puppy & I have no complaints. They truly care about the well being of each puppy and you can tell. Once you walk in you'll notice , it doesn't smell like a pet store, people are playing everywhere with all kinds of puppies and when you look at the puppies they're happy, playing and friendly. All my puppy does when I go out with him is make new friends! I would highly recommend this place if you want a puppy that's been well taken care of. -definitely recommend. read more

AWFUL I bought my boxer baby here May 6th. She came home with us and that night she was up all night coughing having trouble breathing and pooping blood. We called Selena (AWFUL woman) the owner the next day to tell her we were taking her to the vet my vet had to treat her with 3 different medications for what they thought was giardia and an upper respiratory infection. Three weeks later my dog was still pooping large amounts of blood. I called Selena back and she told me to take me to HER vet and she would cover the test. I drove an hour to her vet and he told me my dog was not only a month and a half older then she was sold to us but she was also malnourished and had a stage 2 heart murmur. We then went to check out and Selena refused payment at check out and said she would take the dog back from us. I told her I would absolutely not be returning her to be sold to some one else with health issues. Fast forward to August my dog is still pooping blood. Five vets and 1600 dollars of tests later she has a valve in her heart that does not work properly and an ecoli infection in her intestines. I tried to sue Selena for help with medical bills and the heartless woman counter sued me for 1000 dollars ( the cost of her attorney fee ) and I was forced to drop the case. DO NOT buy a dog here I know 3 other people personally who have had worse cases then me with this place now my baby has to have an echocardiogram for her heart every 6 months at 600 dollars a piece. This place buys puppies from puppy mills and sells them with fake papers this woman the owner her family everyone involved in that place are just heartless awful people. My boxer is my life and I wouldn't trade her for anything I'm just glad I saved her from that awful place. read more

In January my boyfriend and i stumbled upon this puppy place because we had seen that there were 2 GSP's there. GSP's are our favorite breed and not very common around here so when we had gone in to see him, we had noticed a couple things. We had noticed that most of the dogs, especially our GSP and the great danes appeared to look very skinny..to the point where you could see their ribs..we were a little set back at this point because from both of us having dogs all our lives, we had never seen a dog, or even a group of dogs, skinny the way they were. At first, we were not going to buy the GSP because he was priced at $2195.00 and we knew that we could get the same breed from a breeder directly for $875.00 which is what they had paid for him(i looked up our GSP by the nickname he was given and it had showed that he was bought at $875.00). But after seeing how skinny and small he was, we decided to make it work. When we tried to ask Selena questions about the GSP and financing, she turned us to her young employees. They then mentioned a financing option called " Easy Pay Finance" which they gave minimal info and had recommended that it was a good option.They didnt seem to know much about the finance option. My boyfriend applied and he was approved; so we were under the impression that were were financing $1995.00 because i had originally put a deposit down for $200.00.He was set up to make bi-weekly payments of $125.00.When Selena heard that we were going to do it, she quickly offered us to take him home the same day, as if she just wanted to get rid of him and make the sale. This past month, my boyfriend had called Easy Pay to pay off the remainder of the balance because we had already paid $1500.00 at this point and figured that we only had about $400-$500.00 left to pay.. but they had told us that the balance was up to $2058.00 and we argued and insisted they were wrong..when we looked at the information specific to our situation, we had noticed that the interest rate they gave us was 151.99%.......HOW IS THAT EVEN LEGAL. If we do not pay it off in full, all said and done we would have paid over $5000.00 in interest. We think that Selena is clearly familiar with Easy Pay and their guidelines because she clearly offers it to their customers and we think that is why she didn't want to talk to us directly about the questions that we had regarding the whole process because maybe we would have chose differently if we had known. It seems like she was just trying to make a sale. Also we feel like the dogs looked skinny on purpose, as if they look like that so customers will be more apt to buy them, but i hope in my heart that this isn't the case.. I have also ran into people at the dog park in Hudson, NH who too say that there dog appeared to look more skinny than it should have.But i too have ran into dog owners who have gotten their puppy there and say nothing but good things too. We love our GSP and wouldn't trade him for the world, but being charged a 151.99% interest rate on a dog who was priced at $2195.00 when he was bought by Puppies On the Run for $875.00 is insane. We are moving forward with what we can do lawfully. We have reached out to the Attorney General and don't plan to stop until this situation is resolved. read more

No Stars Here.... beware of this place and its pets, we purchased a golden retriever at 3 months old and 3 weeks later the dog started to have siezures. 2 Vets visit later and $4500 in Vet bills she was diagnosed with epilepsy and has to be on medication for life. This was heartbreaking to my daughter wife and family. I contacted them to try see if they had other issues with siblings or the breeder and they denied that our dog was sick or they sell sick dogs. They asked for proof and we forwarded them all the doctors tests and results and asked if we could have some of the money back to help pay for the vet bills and the future treatments the rest of the dogs life. They accused us of injuring the dog and refused any re-imbursement for our loss in vet bills. The women owner there was totally rude and nasty and heartless. NEVER BUY FROM THEM we love the Kiya and will take care of her and love her just the same but unfortunately she will be sick and have to be treated with vet bills most of her life. read more
