They looked terrible and when I inquired, I was told they are just bored. Got him home and once acclimated to the new tank, we let him free. He is so weak, the tiny filter is sucking him into it. I think he has tail rot. Highly doubt he will survive past his 3rd night. Prices there are typically great but for some reason, the half dead betta fish are going for $20 plus. Why? Auto Delivery of Redford (their own brand dog food) is AWFUL, UNRELIABLE and CONSISTENTLY OUT OF STOCK. You cannot depend on it. When asked if they can ever catch up knowing that it was a standing order every month, they said no. They don't pre-order anything and what you get is what they have in stock at the time of your delivery. That said the people that work there are very nice. And when things are delivered, the delivery people are very nice and prompt. But that part isn't helpful if you can't get something delivered. I've got to move on to a company like chewy and change the food to get something that will actually be delivered - and I can count on. I usually order online for pickup at the store. It's so quick and convenient. They bring the order and put it in my trunk, which is great for someone who is not young and has a bad back. Sometimes I go inside anyway to look around. I did that recently and the cashier offered to carry it to my car for me. They are always so nice. It's refreshing. I originally thought their prices were a little high, but with the discount for being a member and their excellent rewards program, they save me money. Also, the selection is excellent. UPDATE: I went back yesterday and gave it another shot. CUSTOMERS, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE NOTE OF THE PRICES ON ITEMS AND ON THE RECEIPT!!! I nearly paid an extra $14 because none of the items rung up with the correct price in the system. After the 1st item rung up incorrectly, I had to drag him like he was a toddler huffing and puffing to look at the prices in the aisle so I could pay the actual price on the shelf that is very clearly labeled in bold. Then the second one rang up wrong and he said "I already took x amount off for you" I was shocked, no you didn't take any amount off! Like pulling teeth I just had to fight with you just to get the correct price! Don't try to tell me that giving me the correct price is doing me a favor. They need to get rid of that kid and they really need to step it up. I can guarantee that 90% of customers are being overcharged in this store. Pay attention, because they definitely don't. I'm completely appalled at the way I was treated by that kid. He treated me like I'm a cheapskate and a burden just because I wanted to keep my $14. Times are EXTREMELY tough right now. That kid doesn't deserve a paycheck let alone me giving him an extra $14 for no reason, especially after I basically had to do his job. Every time I leave this place it ruins my day and I leave there feeling so small because of some of the staff who treat you like you're an annoyance. And it's always the same kid Korben at the register who treats me like garbage, and some other short haired lady manager from the time before this one. However I will say whomever was the manager working Wednesday around noon time, that guy was the opposite. Helpful, friendly, happy and eager to assist you or answer questions. Took my dog there for the second time and it was horrible! The grooming was just absolutely ridiculous. They completely disregarded the instructions we gave them and pretty much shaved our dog through. Tonight I went in to get out new chinchilla so toys and a wheel. I spent maybe 25 mins looking at the wheels, toys, and food. I picked up a blue wheel for my chinchilla the price was 21.98 there was a purple and a blue. I took the blue. When I went to check out the wheel rang up as 49.98 which I though was ridiculous. I asked for them to check the price and some lady "manager" with red hair came up and said that was correct it was indeed 49.98. I asked if I could bring her back to show her where it was and she said yes. When I got back there the wheel was on the opposite end of the shelf after she checked the price for me the cashier not next to the chewable tube I picked up for my chinchilla. She told me sorry people love things all the time there was nothing she could do and I told her she must've moved it because I spent a decent amount of time in this isle I know where the wheel was. She immediately got defensive (I was not being rude a little annoyed because I knew where the wheel was) and told me she would show me the cameras...? I've been coming to this exact location for 7 years not and have spent 1000$ of dollars here. This was the second time I've encountered something like this. I like this store, they carry a lot of good foods and treats. My main issue is they have no pet cleanup stations. I brought my dog in and he unfortunately pooped on the floor, it happens. But I went through every aisle and there isn't a single cleanup station, I even asked the cashier, nothing. Meanwhile there is a mess on the floor that someone could step in. I ended up picking it up in one of the plastic bags they use for bulk dog treats but there was still some left and the floor should definitely be sanatized there. So if that happened to me how many other people have had that issue, how many messes just get left because there is no way to deal with it. How can you allow pets into your store and have no way of cleaning up after them? read more
