I came on to see what puppies are available. Mind you - I do have TWO furbabies from Young and the reason why I came back is because I trust her, she is honest and the dogs are in excellent shape. To the negative folks - I dont believe you. I believe in scammers as yourself. So scroll away. Young does not change names infact she has had the same company name longer than my oldest baby who is 8 years old. Guess where the truth is. But move on and let others purchase. For some of us that have purchased from Young, there is a reason we come back for the healthy, honest reputation that Young has to her customers. I can't believe there are still pet stores in Texas that sell puppies. I can guarantee you these poor puppies came from puppymills where thousands of dogs suffer and die every year. Please do not support businesses like this that are in it for the profit and not the care of the animals. went in to look at puppies, the place stunk of dog poo and pee. I said something about the smell and the woman stated that she had not had time to clean it up yet. (this was at 4 PM) Poor puppies looked sad, dirty. Asked about a health guarantee, was told that if I purchased a dog I would be purchasing as is, no refunds. That alone made me extremely leery - any good breeder would allow you a few business days to have vet check done. Further research shows that she actually breeds all of these dogs herself just outside of Elgin. (Same dogs in pictures) Her web site, My Rainbow Puppies, states that she is home with the dogs 24 hours a day - so how does she also run a store? read more

I had known her about 10 years I bought about 10 doggies from her for me and my nieces and nephews .. her dogs are excellent shape and care .. being loved .. my dogs are smart and beautiful and well behaved and happy doggies I referred to all my friends who seek for happy dog ..my friends are so happy and appreciated young to give them life long friends I can't imagine that my life without her dogs Highly recommend to everybody who's seeking healthy happy wonderful dog !! read more

I bought a dog here. A dog that has been diagnosed with cerebellar Ataxia Disease. Its nearly impossibly to pick up on this disease or even know something is wrong until many months have gone by. My dog is dying and it's very sad. And the owner does not care. Says it's not within her guarantee. I think I should feel safe enough to buy a dog without giving it an MRI when he first comes home. She also told me my dog would be maybe 3 lbs. he's 10. She also told me that he's a full Pomeranian. Even has the papers forged to say he was full, he's definitely not a full. I paid 2,000 dollars for my dog. Mainly to get him out of there and protect him. But when I called to let her know that whichever dogs she used to breed my baby that she shouldn't anymore she acted like she didn't care and said its not her fault. And I asked for my money back to help pay for medical expenses. Didn't even pretend to care. So my lawyer is drafting a lawsuit as we speak. Can't wait to shut this place down. read more

There was roaches crawling in the bottom of the sugar gliders cage. The place is dirty and unsanitary. I feel bad for the animals.

I have to say that this place is definitely not a puppy mill. The owner does have her Texas breeder license. She guarantees the puppies health. The owner of the store is a very nice lady. All the puppies she have are happy and are healthy. Go visit her you will not be disappointed. I'm so happy with the yorkie I got from her he is very healthy. :) read more

Literally the worst place the get a puppy. I'm thankful for the fact that I saved my little guy but I'm in over $2k in vet bills and have barely had him 2 months... Respiratory infection, tapeworms, collapsing trachea and the list goes on.... And the only way she will compensate you at all is if the dog is dying or dead. I feel so sorry for all the pups left there, but unless you're ready to invest a fortune I wouldn't purchase from her. read more

I got 3 dogs from Young. A Yorkie, a chihuahua, and a German Shepherd. They have all been excellent in health and temperament. All of them have been very smart and easy to train. The first night we brought our little yorkie home he learned to give high five and has learned many tricks since then including giving the little chihuahua a hug....which is stinking adorable!!! I love my dogs so much and it makes me angry to see the negative reviews people put. Thank you Young for my babies. I will definitely go back to Young for my puppy needs. read more

They do a great job grooming. I have a miniature schnauzer and am pretty picky about her cut. They listen and get it right every time. My dog is always pretty easy to read, if we go somewhere she doesn't like she you know before and after dropping her off. She is always happy when we go. I understand the concerns of other reviewers, but it doesn't sound like they have actually done business with this place or bothered to ask them about the dogs they sell. So, in my opinion it is irresponsible to give a bad review. Again, I have only used the grooming services, but have do so several times. I have always talked to someone who is pleasant and ready to help. My dog and I are very happy! I promise to update my review if that ever changes because you should always trust who you take your animals too. read more

I do not feel this so called business deserves 1 star, however it is procedure. Yelp is great format to use however I feel bad being negative, but my experience at Puppy Dog Town in Elgin, Texas was so shocking I feel compelled to WARN others of this heart break. This so called pet store is 1 of those times I screamed in my head "I can not unsee this horror". There were all these tiny cute innocent furry little baby pups in all metal rusting and smelly cages, the smell hits you in the face and your regret of entering starts there in that second and does not stop there. The owner sitting in chair staring out window, instead of cleaning or improving the conditions, wow, so shocking, the only pups she attempted to show us ran from her when she opened the cage, red flag right there. We asked questions just to see if we were in a dream or a Twilight Zone episode , I wanted to grab as many as I could and just run, but I am a law abiding citizen, so I left in tears and disgust. These pups are teacups, tiny toys and miniature of several breeds, they did not have any blankets or anything to lay on other than metal flooring of cages, wet newspapers on floor of other pins and they all looked sickly. Most did not look like what she stated they were or the ages she stated either. Very sad she is allowed to have these conditions as business, not much difference than a puppy mill condition shown on commercials, just inside a building. read more

I purchased a Maltese from Young at Puppy Dogs Town and completely regret it!! I don't regret rescuing my dog from this horrible place, but I had no idea what I was getting my self into. The day I purchased the dog I had to take him to the emergency vet hospital only to find out he had fleas and Kennel Cough and who knows what else. We are waiting on the rest of the results. I also found out that the first set of vaccines are actually administered by her and not a legitimate vet. I wish I would have done more research, read between the lines and not signed her "no guarantee contract." Lesson learned and all I can do is spread the word and learn from my mistake. read more
