Avoid this place at all cost. If you want animals lovers taking care of your babies while you're away, this is not the right business. I used to like this place. We've boarded our dog there a few times. The last time we boarded our dog there they lost both her harness and her food. I only got it back after calling and following up and insisting that I left plenty of food (I always leave a full bag). They suddenly found both her harness and food. I brushed it off as an honest mistake, but after this visit I'm really unsure. I picked my dog up today and the employees came out and charged me, brought out her dry food, and then brought out my dog. As I was taking her to the other side of the truck the owners' dogs got out of their fence (the owners' house is next door to the pet resort) and ran after us. 3 of them were small dogs but one was a doberman (or something similiar looking) and was growling and snapping at us. I hurried and got my dog in the truck and stood there with her while the employees got the dogs back in the fence. I was obviously upset and wanted to speak with someone about what just happened. As I was waiting for one of the employees to call the owners I noticed a patch of missing fur from my dogs leg. No idea if it happened just then or if it was from earlier in the week but it definitely wasn't like that when I dropped her off. The employee had to call the owners twice. The first time he was asking them to come outside and it sounded like they hung up on him. I insisted I wanted to speak with someone and he called again and said they were coming. I had to ask him to grab my dog's canned food that they had forgotten while we were waiting for the owner. At this point I would have been completely happy with someone seeming like they cared even a little. You would think the OWNER of a pet boarding place would care about animals. She made absolutely no attempt at coming to see me or my dog and check on things. She was obviously very upset that she had to get up and come address a situation. When I told this woman about her dogs running after us she kept claiming they were in the fence. I tried explaining they were only in there because her employees put them back. I mentioned there was a patch of missing fur on my dog's leg and clarified that I don't know if it was from this incident or from earlier in the week and her only response was to ask "is she bleeding?" and follow up with "well there's nothing I can do then". You're the OWNER. There is plenty you can do. A simple apology would be a great start. Mostly I just kept getting her saying "I hope you have the day you deserve" since apparently my day should suck for interrupting her relaxing to speak with a customer. Now that we're home and looking more closely at our dog we see a missing patch of fur on her leg, her ID tag that we made for her is gone off of her collar, she has what looks like some kind of sore in her mouth, and she's scratching at her eyes a lot. We're going to get her checked out by a vet because we are not experts in dog healthcare, but we're concerned about several things we're seeing on her that definitely were not there when we dropped her off. All we can do at this moment is document everything and get a professional opinion. A few things are concerning to us here but honestly most of it would have been assumed to be stress on our dog being away from home if it hadn't been for the way the owner behaved. I am so baffled by the fact that the owner of a pet boarding company seems to not care at all about the pets or the customers for that matter. I'm trying to wrap my head around how someone can get paid to board others' pets and then have so little concern when their own get out and run after a customer and their pet. Who do you want watching your fur babies? Someone that cares deeply for animals or someone that cares deeply for a paycheck? Edit: I disagree with quite a few of the 'facts' that Beverly responded with. I've sent her a message letting her know she's welcome to contact me if she wants to discuss my experience. I'll be happy to update my review afterwards but I'm not going to have a back and forth on the yelp page. For now, my experience with this business is listed above.

A few weeks ago while I was on another social media an ad popped up. I've never seen this place before when I was searching for a nearby daycare for our Shih Tzu. I looked at the website and was blown away with the prices. That same day I called and made an appointment to take a tour of the facility. As we arrived, we were already liking the atmosphere of where the facility was located. We got inside and met the owner Beverly. Sweetest lady you'll ever meet. She gave us a tour and explained everything we needed to know. She has daycare, boarding and grooming available. We were looking for another daycare so that we can keep our Shih Tzu socialized for less money with the same quality as the other daycare. He's been going twice a week since then and we've never had any issues.

I hesitated to post this. This is how I picked up my Chihuahua yesterday from barks a lot grooming. So this wound it is a day healing. It was far more inflamed and bleeding when we picked her up. I consulted with a lifelong friend who is a groomer in another state and asked if I should post this or not and she said definitely yes. She said that this person should not be grooming dogs. I asked for my Chihuahua to simply have her body trimmed with a seven blade and I got her back nearly naked, obviously cut with a number 10. And this horrible cut on her belly where it meets the leg. My husband picked her up and said that the groomer was extremely apologetic and felt terrible about it. For doing a terrible job of grooming and wounding my pet they gave us a $10 coupon for the next cut. I do not think that is even close to an appropriate response to what was done to our pet. I was called by someone the next day to see how my chihuahua was and I wasn't very talkative as I honestly was too upset to even talk about it. The other two dogs that I had groomed were fine. Thank goodness. I would not recommend them. I used them two other times and no injuries but they left two nails unclipped on my Chihuahua last time, making it hard for her to walk.

Lucy and Ludo were happy to see me but after saying an excited hello to me, Lucy tried to walk back into the other room as though she wanted to see her kennel friends one more time before leaving. It was really touching. The trainer kept me up to date on Lucy's progress and I even got to see social media posts about their play time and beach time. This is where they take your dog to the pool and there is also a sandy place where they can dig. It was very reassuring to me that they let me see where my pups would be staying and I got to help decorate their room. Other places won't show you the actual space your dog is in and are not transparent at all about the actual level of care. This place put my dogs' health and safety first and their happiness as a close second. I will use them again.

These folks are basically trying to sell their products - collars, leashes, etc. - and the training and support seem to be an after-thoughts. At the 4th lesson, our dog was overwhelmed and wanted to just sit on the mat. The other dogs went outside and did the agility course and our dog was told to sit back and watch (in a large grassy area with fire ants and sticker burrs). Addison said she would send us info on steps to take and further instruction at a 2-week training - never got anything else from her or these people. We decided not to show up for the 5th lesson. We have since gone to someone else, and our dog is doing great, and without a StarMark choke or prong collar that costs a lot of money and hurts the dog. The communication from the time we signed up was spotty at best, and then just got worse. There was no follow-up via phone or email at all. Would never recommend this place based on our experience.

Okay. I'm really really disappointed I have to do this, but the public deserves to know. Let me…read morestart by saying I am a dachshund advocate for Travis county. I own them, and I constantly work with rescues to get dachshunds in our community placed. In the past, I supported this business, thinking that it may have also been helping the dachshund community. I've shared multiple of their posts when they try to help, and I engaged with their posts. Commenting and following up with potential adopters, Sharing them in local dachshund groups, and boosted them for the algorithm. I recently caught on to an extremely shady backyard breeding process they were partaking in: using the mom up in her fertile years and then dumping her off. This is called a "discarded breeder" or "spent breeder" in the dog breeding world. If they cared about the dogs under their care, they would continue to value the dogs after their money-making years. Rehoming a dog after 6-7 years is traumatic for a dog who has only known their home, and should only be done for extreme circumstances: dogs are family, and dachshunds are extremely sensitive to this. They bond deeply with what they know and their pack. Dachshunds should not be discarded and forced to go through a mid-life rehoming just because they aren't cash cow for the owner anymore. This told me that these people don't care about dachshunds at all, they care about money. Once she was no longer a cash cow for them, they don't care about providing care for her. I went back and saw they did this with multiple adult female dachshunds. After seeing this, I (very politely) left a message to them, essentially saying that I don't think it's a good idea to be discarding the mothers after their breeding years, because of how deeply dachshunds bond. The owner's response: not answering my question, but quickly erasing my comment and blocking me from the group and page, after all I've done positively. Because I caught onto something shady and dared to ask a question about it. If this is how they view dachshunds, why would you ever leave your dachshunds in their care? Your beloved is just a money source for them, hidden behind clever Facebook posts that make them seem like they care. I would absolutely not trust these people with any dog. Do better. These are real dogs with real feelings. Not a substitution for a 9-5 job.

Then, 24 hours before the appointment, I received another voicemail confirming the same information and asking me to arrive 15 minutes early. I arrived as instructed, only to be told that Dr. Driscoll had been double-booked and that some appointments had been reassigned to a relief veterinarian who had never examined my dog before. For a patient with a serious cancer diagnosis, continuity of care is extremely important. If scheduling changes were necessary, I should have been notified before I arrived so I could decide whether to keep the appointment or reschedule with the veterinarian who was already familiar with my dog's condition. This experience was disappointing and reflected poor communication and a lack of consideration for clients dealing with difficult medical situations.
