I visited the store to ask about cleaning the outdoor pond we have. I spoke with the manager, purchased the products she recommended, and she gave me one product that the store had been using because it was out of stock. I bought aeration equipment too. All 8 of my fish died as a result. I went back to the store and the manager offered to replace my fish for free even though it's not her fault the fish died. I got two larger goldfish and they're doing fine! The manager is very helpful and kind! read more

My expectation of Whole Pets Market was that it was a completely pet-safe brand that sold only pet-safe products. That was purely based on the branding looking like a sister brand of Whole Foods, same font and color on the logo. I had the instinct to google a cat flea treatment that I bought there and saw that the danger to cats is well-documented. Brought it up to a vet, and they advised I return it for a refund and pass along to the store a strong recommendation that they take it off their shelves. It contains a chemical (pyrethins) which is toxic and known to trigger an alarming disorder which I would've would up paying more to treat at an emergency clinic, had I not had my senses. Customers that are desperate for quick relief may be more prone to making an uninformed choice, which is why this brand's sketchy branding and lack of any warning about this product concerns me. I've let Whole Pets' Fulton St store in Brooklyn know, but be advised, you should still do your research before purchasing anything that might contain harmful ingredients or chemicals. Assume this brand will not advertise that. read more

I love this pet store! We purchased our adorable hairless guinea pig named Sybil here about a year ago, and she is so sweet! She is very healthy and happy. I also love to go see the animals and the employees are very friendly. There is also a great selection of items. read more

What a huge selection of toys, pet foods and natural treats, could spend hours walking the isles

I have been here for pet food many times and it was great. The food choices for my doggo with belly problems is awesome. I give the store/food area 5 stars and the dog wash I'd give a 1 star. However, I used the self service dog wash twice and find it to be awful! I'll go in order below. 1. The ramp to get into the bath is very heavy to move by myself, and so steep my dog slid down it when trying to get into the tub. Not a great start to a bath when he was already nervous. 2. The shampoo selection is one choice only. For $17 I expected to have a couple of options, or at least have the option to pay for an oatmeal shampoo since my dog has sensitive skin. 3. The individual showing me the tub and shampoo said there was conditioner. When I went to use it, there was only 3 bottles of the same shampoo. I tried to look for a bell or some sort of assistance needed button and there was none. I would have called but there is no phone service in the dog wash area. I saw an employee walk by and I asked for help but he didn't hear me, so I left my dog in the tub () and ran to the front of the store for help. No, conditioner is not included. Sometimes other clients leave it and you can use theirs. 4. One towel per dog is kinda nuts. Esp for a dog with lots of fur. Went to brush him out and the one brush I had available was rusted and missing half the bristles! 5. Since I'm on a tangent, the parking lot is soft dirt/powder dirt. Walk a wet dog to their car and now their paws are muddy and so is my car. Grrrrrrr read more

Very comfortable place for the cats being adopted. Very adamant about the cats there being adopted together. Knowing they needed each other. Very understanding of animals and their needs. What a great pet store here in Dripping Springs! They have all of the high end cat and dog foods that you find at Tomlinson's (and for less money to boot), as well as the standard selections found at the big boxes. They also have a pet deli full of strange and fun items for your dog like duck and chicken feet, cow tendons and cow esophaguses. Or is it esophagi? Give these nice folks a try. read more

I telephoned Whole Pets Market in Dripping Springs and they got some dog food samples from the manufacturer for me, which was nice; but I live 62 miles from the store and they said that they would NOT mail any of the samples to me, even if I sent them a postage pre-paid envelope to mail them in. I will avoid doing any business with any Whole Pets Market from now on. The really know how to lose my business for sure. read more

Stopped in for the first time today and was really impressed. They have everything we need for our dog, bird, fish and guinea pig and the prices weren't that much more than going to a big name store. It saved me about an hour by not having to go all the way in town for guinea pig bedding! The carry out service is for real- not just a saying- they will cheerfully carry your purchase for you! read more
