After a very frustrating experience with another grooming salon earlier in the day, I was incredibly grateful to find Puppy Fades in Pasadena and Hilda, who was able to fit my English Bulldog, Lilo, in for a same-day appointment. I was especially nervous because the previous groomer had told me that Lilo was aggressive and had supposedly charged at three different groomers. This was extremely difficult for me to believe because Lilo has never been aggressive toward people or other dogs. She has been groomed before without any issues, so hearing this was concerning, shocking and upsetting. Thankfully, Hilda completely put my mind at ease. She was calm, patient, professional, and clearly very comfortable handling dogs. She treated Lilo with such care and confidence, and most importantly, Lilo did amazing with her! Hilda was able to complete all of the grooming services we had originally planned, and there were no issues whatsoever. Seeing how well Lilo did with Hilda was such a relief and made me even more grateful that I was able to find Puppy Fades. I truly appreciate Hilda taking Lilo in on such short notice and giving her such a positive experience. She was wonderful with Lilo, and I could tell that she genuinely cared about making her comfortable. We will absolutely be coming back to Hilda at Puppy Fades! We've been here a number of times with our little furball. He has a bit of anxiety so they sit down with him until he's comfortable heading in for his bath, grooming, nail trim and deshedding. This was my 1-year old puppy's first true grooming experience and it was amazing. Hilda took all the time necessary to ensure he wasn't frightened. At first it didn't seem like he had too many mats, but when she got into the bath it was apparent that he had large & small mats all over his coat & between his paw pads. She called to tell me it would be an increase in price to remove the mats, or I could have him shaved to removed them. I appreciated being given the option, and as glad I chose to have them removed. He looks so handsome! Just like a Bernedoodle should look. He was calm and happy when I picked him up, not anxious at all. We've already booked his next appointment for a bath & brush to keep the mats away. I couldn't give a higher review. We were at the Wiggle Waggle Walk and won a free nail clipping and the groomer cut very far into the quick leaving my daughter's puppy crying and bleeding. They don't know what they are dong. The dogs nails are white so the quick is visible and the lady cut into half of it now her dog is scared of getting her back paw touched. read more

Just took our 7 month old puppy to Homeboy Puppy Fades and we are so pleased by our experience! Everyone was so kind, seemed to love dogs. They offered treats to Freddie during his service, and it's so important to us to get our pup used to the idea of grooming because he will be a very large dog! Unhappy with the service. I understand my dog had some parts of her coat matted but I specifically stated that I did not want to come back to pick her up and she would be a completely different dog. If the groomer felt that's the only thing he could do, I highly suggest they call the owner and let them know that's the last resort. Also, I was charged an additional $100 for cutting off her coat.Total cost $250. I was never warned of this additional cost until I picked her up. I did not appreciate the groomer laughing/giggling the whole time while speaking to him. Never will I be back again. read more
