I am an ICU nurse at UCLA and Joe has changed our lives for the best! My schedule is so hectic with long hours and lots of on-call shifts and he works with my schedule! Its very upsetting to write this because I had trusted this guy to care for my 3 month old Puppy. But puppy was not given the Proper care that I expected a puppy daycare would provide. When I picked puppy up he was still inside his crate. When I opened the gate I took him out and noticed his tail was covered with his poop. I usually keep a piece of my clothing inside his crate and even the clothing was completely soiled! I am complaining about Joe the owner of this Company. He said it was fresh poop that was inside the crate and that my puppy went poop as I was picking him up (?) That's not right and obviously false because I have pictures to prove it. He really did not attend to my puppy all day and could not admit that he didn't The poop was obviously not fresh. It was old poop and it had been inside his crate for hours and my poor puppy was sadly sitting in it. Please note: Puppy suffered stress and mistreatment. For how long and which days? I don't know. The pictures are upsetting and obvious. It is pet abuse when a puppy is left in his crate all day long sitting in his own feces. Also note: This Company does not have an up to date business license. Joe has been walking my dog for about 6 months. He is super helpful in that he picks her up from my home directly and drops her off, even if I am not home. I can tell that he keeps her active because she is always exhausted when she gets home. I love receiving photos of her on the beach with the other cute pups he walks. And because Joe is local, I often see him walking pups around Sant Monica and have bumped into him a few times down by the beach. read more

Joe is amazing!! I had to find a place for my dog to go because everywhere I called was booked before thanksgiving and now I realize that was the biggest blessing! Joe is practically family now. My dog loved being at his house with other dogs. She didn't have to stay in a kennel at a vet or some other overpriced dog hotel. She slept in bed with joe, he sent me videos and photos of her lounging and playing everyday. I even had to extend my stay and he was so gracious about keeping her longer. He keeps the tv on a soothing Ibiza music channel for the dogs and changes the lights from red to blue at night to help them calm down and get ready for bed. He takes the dogs on walks around the beach and my dog now loves being on a leash for walks around my neighborhood and I couldn't get her to do that before. BEWARE!!! It's with a heavy heart I write this review. My dog died under Joes care. I had my dog at Vet 5 days before I brought to Joe for shots and a kidney test.He was in good health He was fine. weighed 13 lbs. Good Health. l left with Joe. 41/2 days later my dog was dead. When I picked him up he was passed out on grass and soaking wet. I immediately took to Vet where he died 10 min later. He weighed 10 lbs. he lost 3 lbs in 41/2 days!!Vet said he died of starvation and dehydration. Joe had 6 other dogs he was watching. Facts are the love of my life DIED under his care. SO, I DO NOT recommend Puppy Time!!! Also, Joe kept the $320.00 I paid him. I asked for a refund. Also, he said he would send pictures. It's with sadness and disappointment that I have to write this review of Joe. I had used his services a number of times over the past 2 years and have referred more than 6 clients to him. Since I had referred so many people to him, I feel a responsibility to those I referred and also to the community to report what I saw on June 13, 2019. At around 5:30 pm, one of my friends, who I referred to Joe, called asking me to do a welfare check on him. My friend had gone to pick up his dog and Joe could barely speak and was stumbling around. My friend had to call two other owners to pick up their dogs because Joe was in no state to watch over 5 dogs that evening. My friend's dog was only there for about 3 hours and Joe was not in this state when Mila was dropped off. The other two dogs did not have their collars and when he asked Joe to contact the owners, Joe incorrectly inputted his passcode into his phone so many times that he locked himself out. My friend's wife found one of the dogs in the bedroom closet and she subsequently released the dog from the closet. When I got to Joe's place at around 7 pm, I found him in a stupor, barely able to stand and hold himself up. He tried standing and knocked into the side table. I heard barking from the kitchen and found a small gray poodle stuffed inside the pantry. Mind you, the pantry was dark and small. It barely had any room for the dog to stand and was full of kitchen items. I tried speaking to Joe, but he was incoherent. He said he put the dog in the pantry because it ate its poop. There is no excuse for this behavior. Period. I let the small poodle out of the pantry and told Joe not to put it in the pantry again. There was no smell of alcohol on Joe but he was in no condition to be caring for 5 dogs that afternoon. He should have called the owners themselves to pick up their dogs if he wasn't able to care for them. My friends confronted Joe the following Monday and he was neither remorseful nor apologetic about the dogs in the pantry and the closet. He reasoned that the owners knew that the dogs were in the closet and pantry. I know that Joe has had issues with his landlord about the noise coming from barking dogs. But stuffing dogs into the closet and pantry is not a humane way of dealing with barking dogs. Joe was more worried about his reputation than in correcting his behavior. He asked my friends not to tell anyone about what they saw on June 16. And he had no recollection that five people made welfare checks on him that evening. I will never trust Joe with my beloved pup again. And I recommend that anyone still thinking of using his services to check that Joe is licensed with the city and ask for proof of insurance in case anything happens to your dogs. Also,​ keep a collar on your dog with phone numbers to ensure that you are reachable in case of emergencies. I know that this is Joe's livelihood and I spent many days thinking about the repercussions of this review prior to writing it. But given that he has continued to lie about what happened that evening, I felt that it was time for him to take responsibility for his actions. There were eight witnesses that Thursday evening. I hope that a few of them will write reviews to offer the community a full picture of what transpired. read more

I met Joe this past summer when I was looking into apartments in Santa Monica. He was walking 8 dogs at once--I stopped to marvel at the fact that none of the leashes were tangled, and that all the dogs were happy and calm, tails wagging everywhere. I cannot even begin to explain how comforting it is to find a dog walker/sitter/teacher that I trust with a key to my house and to leave my puppy with. Mango (my furbaby) always leaves Joe's so happy and sleepy, which is amazing after a long day at work for me. I have now convinced my sister to bring her pup, Nala, (Mango's biological sibling) to Joe's and they both adore their play days in Santa Monica together. I really can tell a difference between the times where I have in the past used a walker or other pet app for Mango and how restless she is when I come home to find her all amped up and needing socializing. Joe sincerely cares about his clients and their animals, which is often a rare find in Los Angeles. I recently moved here from out of college for my new position and Joe made my life all the bit less stressful. For example, my first few days in my new apartment I locked myself out and my car got towed. Joe not only offered to help by driving me to the impounding lot, but also took care of Mango for a couple days, no questions asked, less anxiety for myself. He is so reliable with his phone and always sends texts, pictures, and videos on a daily basis. Now I give him a bag of Mango's food and a few toys so that if I am ever in a pinch I know she will be fed the right thing, which is something an app cannot provide to you. I would recommend Joe to anyone in the Los Angeles area. I live in Beverly Hills, my sister lives in West Hollywood, and I must say he is worth the drive to ensure your own furbabies are well taken care of! Also, he is very accommodating and will work with you regarding time of dropoff/pickup and is very flexible.
