After visiting several doggy daycares and doing lots of research, I was recommended puppy playground the most. I filled out a simple inquiry on their website and someone contacted me right away. We were able to visit just two days later. They offer the first day free too which is wonderful, really gives you the opportunity to check it out before buying a package. Pricing is average for most places, I think it's worth every penny. My golden doodle is soo worn out when he comes home we have to carry him upstairs. He sleeps the rest of the night every time! The employees are outstanding. They know my face and pups name as soon as we walk in the door. They really care about your fur babies. My favorite feature of all is their Pupdates. Nothing makes you happier than receiving pictures of your fur baby having fun. I can tell you a few times they have went above and beyond....he rolled in poop one day....You read that correctly, poop. I wouldn't have ever known if they didn't tell me. At my arrival he was fresh and clean from a bath!! Another time he was showing signs of ear pain and they cleaned out his ears and kept an eye on him. Our dogs love it here! They are extremely excited to go, and come home content and tired. The staff is very friendly and they all seem to truly care about the dogs. They know us by name when we walk through the door. We like knowing that the other dogs have been vetted and will be able to get along. We had issues scheduling at other dog daycares, but Puppy Playground allows drop offs without an appointment, which is convenient for us. We also are big fans of the half-day option: drop off before noon and pick up before 6 hours have elapsed. read more

We typically use the 65th street location as it is close to home, but have used the Rockville Road location multiple times as well and love it just as much! The staff is super friendly and update me on how my dog did/what he did during the day when I pick him up, everything is clean and organized, and my dog comes home absolutely exhausted. Despite going to the other location more often, my dog knows exactly where he is as we pull into the parking lot and proceeds to basically pull my arm off to get inside and go play. Oh puppy playground, I am so glad I found you! This location is sooo convenient for my husband and I, because not only is it close to where we live but it is very close to the interstate if you are having to head out of town! I appreciated that all of their services and pricing were readily available online, this is a big plus for an internet addict like me. We have only used their boarding services so far, one great perk about their boarding and one of the reasons I chose this place was because the boarding doggies get play time each day! This is important to us because we want a tired dog when we get back and hate to have to spend additional money for it to be an option. Price is fair for what you get. My dog plays non-stop when other dogs are available so each time so far she has been exhausted when we get her! They make each dog go through a trial period to make sure they won't cause problems around other dogs which gives you peace of mind that your dog will be safe while there. The dogs can play inside or outside and the staff is friendly and helpful. We're hoping we can start budgeting money so our dog can get some regular play time here! read more

My dog knows the words "Puppy Playground." I have to be careful not to say them unless we are actually about to go there, because she gets so excited. I would never take her anywhere else to play. The employees treat her like she is their own dog. I have never seen her better-cared for. Recently, I had dropped her off there for her weekly play and socialize-with-other-dogs time. While she was there, I went to a clinic about what seemed like a minor problem, and I thought I might walk out and hour later with an antibiotic prescription. Well, I ended up with emergency surgery and a five-day hospital admission. As soon as I knew this was happening, I called up Puppy Playground, and they pulled together an open-ended boarding reservation for my dog. It was such a relief to know she would be cared for, and was in a safe place. I didn't have to start calling friends, trying to find someone to come to the hospital and get my key, then go pick her up, and take her somewhere like the vet for boarding, where she wouldn't be walked or have playtime for days. One phone call, and it was all done. They even gave her a complimentary bath, just to make my life easier after I got out of the hospital. I'm so glad this place is there for me! read more

We are over the moon with the care our pups get at Puppy Playground off Rockville! Our older dog has been going since she was just a pup and she always was tired when we picked her up - which was a huge plus when we lived in an apartment. Now both our dogs go over when we need them to get a bit more exercise or a warm place with nice faces while we are out of town. I took my hyper, 2 year old lab/pit mix for a weekend stay while I got a weekend away and she came home Monday afternoon totally pooped! I like that they do a temperament evaluation prior to any day care or overnight stays, since they offer cage free play during the day. Ellie loves playing with other dogs so this was a great choice for her. The only downside is they don't have anyone there over night which isn't necessary but it would have been an extra piece of mind to me. Overall great, will definitely bring Ellie back! read more

I've been going to Puppy Playground for years and was overjoyed when they opened a Westside location a few years ago. Let me start with my dog LOVES going to Puppy Playground. He gets boarded there when we got out of town and he also goes to daycare sometimes in the winter when he's driving me nuts. The staff there is very nice and appear to really love the dogs. Once when he was boarding there, he was bitten by another dog and the called me right away to tell me about the incident and that the other dog had been banned from returning. My dog was not injured and I wouldn't have known if they hadn't told me so I appreciated that they called. They take safety very seriously. Before Christmas 2014, I would have given them 5 stars. However, when I picked up my dog from them after Christmas, the man who checked us out was new and did not charge me appropriately (about $50 less than it should have been). I mentioned it to him before paying and he said that it was correct. The next day a woman from PP called and said that he had undercharged me $50 and would I mind if they ran my card again to make up the difference. I told her that was fine. Then in February when I went to pick him up from boarding, they said I had a past due amount of $50! I explained the situation from Christmas and they were extremely rude and accusatory. I paid what was due for the February boarding but told the, I would not pay the $50 again as it had already been handled as far as I knew. I asked them to have a manager call me which never happened. It makes me very sad that this happened and I was treated this way after years if patronage and even trying to correct their mistake at the time they undercharged me. Very disappointing. read more

For me, and especially my wife, our pets are basically our kids. We love them and always miss them if we have to be away for any length of time. So, when we brought our dog to Puppy Playground for the first time, my wife was a little nervous. But it turned out there was nothing to worry about! He got along great with everyone, even the other kids. Err, I mean dogs. We left him there for a weekend and he had a great, issue free time. We also had the staff give him a bath and they did a great job. We loved picking up a clean dog! All the staff seem great - very friendly and professional. It's too bad that daycare costs as much as it does since our dog loves it and I'm sure would rather be there than cooped up at home while we're at work. But until I strike it rich, he'll just have to deal with only visiting while we're out of town. read more

After reading all the reviews, my family and I were excited to take our fur babies there while we went out of town. Upon calling the West location, the lady on the phone told us she was too busy to do an eval on our two dogs and that it was best to look elsewhere.
