I have to say this quaint little pet store in Lewes is just so adorable. Talk about being helpful is an understatement. I now have 3 rescues and I couldn't bring them all with me but the person helping me said don't worry if something doesn't fit you can just bring it back. I took a little time to browse around town after enjoying a meal. I like the feel about a small downtown. Especially one that is bustling with stores and people everywhere. Of course seeing a pet store automatically drew me in. I love going in and seeing what all there is to offer. I do a lot of browsing in one of these types of stores. I will go about and just lose track of time in here. I make sure to see so everything they have to offer. I get lost in it. It doesn't hurt either that the owner is one amazing lady and remembers the locals, and not just the people, the pets that come in as well. That's always a highlight of a pet store. While browsing you get to be interrupted by some of the most distinguished members of the community. So you are aware, this is a dog heavy pet store. There is a section for cats, albeit not as big as their counterpart. I looked over the items, not much what my cat would fancy. I was hoping to get a new collar for her, but didn't see much of a selection. The only thing I could really complain about here is the pricing. I know it is a local shop, but the pricing is just a bit too high for my liking. read more

Cute little boutique mainly catered to higher end dog supplies, toys, collars and leashes. Small cat section though! My favorite part of the store is in the back with the large variety of dog collars with all different kinds of designed to suit anyone's needs. Designs range from hearts, mermaids, butterflies, nautical, sports, nature, and so on. My favorite was this strawberry design. Sadly, they didn't have the size I needed. We purchased a raincoat for our havanese that turned out to be too small. The clerk would not exchange without a receipt even though it obviously came from their store, and we wanted a larger size - an even exchange. It was customer service at its worst. I don't live right in Lewes and therefore I rather get information on their products in a different way... I was looking to buy some presents for my friend's pets. Went to their website and the whole thing gave me a headache. It was literally impossible to find any products. I decided then to call. A gentleman who claimed to be the owner answered and the service he provided me was so poor and rude that I decided to just say thanks, goodbye and try the website one more time. I have to say... This is one of the most lovely run stores. I purchased a gentle leader while on vacation here in Lewes, DE as I had previously purchased a "Walk Your Dog With Love" harness and didn't like the quality. My dog came from a shelter and has developed mammary glands going through a heat. The WYDWL harness was very sharp and the fabric was very thin. The Gentle Leader was soft and thicker as to not harm her mammary glands. I purchased the wrong size and called Pups of Lewes to see how to return the item. They were very easy to allow us to send it back (as we live in CNY). After a couple weeks I didn't hear anything. They had misplaced the box, however found it quickly after I called. I not only received a very apologetic call from the store sales associate, however the owner as well. They were so nice and when sending the corrected size back to me they sent me a card as well as a cute magnet. I thought it was such a nice personal touch. Things happen and I wasn't all that concerned. They were so very nice while we were visiting we actually went back a second time to purchase items while visiting. I will definitely go back there when visiting Lewes again to get my pups their souvenirs. Thank you Pups of Lewes. You were an absolute pleasure. read more
