We go here with some frequency. Love the chicken quesadillas and the pupusas. Especially the slaw that goes with them. Any extra slaw and sauce goes to make the best chicken soup you can make!!! We came here after having dinner in the area, and ordered 2 cheese pupusas to go, with an horchata. Those pupusas were filled to the max with cheese, and that cheese pull was something else! Everything was made-to-order, and ours was super super hot! The horchata was not grainy at all, but smoothy and refreshing - a tasty drink to complement your meal(s). The food here is super good we come here often. It's very clean and organized ,and there's friendly staff. For some reason the salsa de tomate isn't as good as it could be. The first few times we came, it tasted like Campbell's tomato soup ( everyone knows that taste) . The last time we went it either tasted like spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce, probably a corner they shouldn't have to cut, when many people order their pupusas. read more

It was really good, the meat was a little greasy, but had good flavor and a squeeze of lime really set it off. My wife had the seafood soup and she said the broth was excellent with plenty of meat. A couple of friends of mine highly recommended this restaurant to me. I just had to get the Steak Nachos Express which were quite excellent. They consisted of crispy corn chips covered with grilled steak, topped with pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, black beans, and cheese. They were full of flavor and different textures which is something I love about nachos. The Pupusa Loca was much bigger than I expected covering my entire plate. It contained beans, pork, zucchini, loroco (flower buds), and cheese. The sauces accompanying it were delicious. For dessert, I got the Nuegados which are deep fried cassava yucca dipped with sugar cane panela. What I liked about it was that it was not overly sweet until you dipped them. I checked out the menu on Yelp and decided on the Salvadorian tacos, both chicken and beef, and a bean and cheese pupusa. The food was so good and the service was great from the phone call to pickup. The Salvadorian tacos were made with soft homemade maiz tortillas and overfilled with chicken and steak. The meat was seasoned well and topped with pico, cheese, and an avocado slice. Seriously good! I have been coming to Pupusa Express for years now! it has become a staple in my home! Plátanos Fritos- One of my favorite dishes to get from here! Pupusa de Queso, Pupusa de Frijól, and Pupusa de Pollo Carne Asada- I get this entree every time I visit! it's definitely a comfort food of mine Pan con Pollo- This was husband's first time getting this and really enjoyed his sandwich! they normally use a different bread but ran out. Even with the substitution bread, it was incredible! Service- this was my first time ever eating here! I normally take it to go and I've never had an issue with that. They ran out of the traditional bread they use for the sandwich and our waiter made sure to confirm he was okay with the switch before placing the order. Pupusa Express is not great but what they do, they do good. I really enjoy their Nachos because they add the melted cheese sauce. Their Shrimp Ceviche is also very flavorful. I also like getting their Horchata. Their Pupusas are pretty good. My only complaint is the Fried Plantains always leave me wanting more. Only drinks available was bottled soda and water no lemonade for kids so can't get refills. asked for tap water and were given tiny cups enough for one swallow. We didnt take pictures because we were too excited to eat the pupusas! We are from Texas and recently moved here from Germany. We are foodies and wonderful cooks. We had just come from an expensive Italian restaurant for date night and were very disappointed. On our way home we saw Pupusas Express and decided to just try one each. We saw so much on the menu that brought back memories of home! We call pupusas, gorditas which are cut open and stuffed instead of being cooked inside. Omg they were AUTHENTIC!
