top in on the weekend after being in the area and enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance! Menu had a great selection to pick from. We opt for the chicken enchiladas and steak tacos. The enchiladas were amazing & the chicken was cooked perfectly ( not too dry!). The steak tacos were amazing as well and really enjoyed the corn tortilla (super soft). For both, the rice was an interesting thing! We've never had this kind of rice and really liked it!! Plenty of indoor seating and served was super friendly.

I stand by what I say about this place. Really good and relatively inexpensive food here and so much of it! The chimichanga with steak was pretty bready but there was so much meat that the ratio of protein to carb is great. The quesadilla was also pretty good with so much cheese and meat. The pupusa loca was as good as always. Staff is always smiling and so accommodating, making sure we were taken care of. The patrons are also happy and the table next to us was talking about how good the carrot and orange juice was. Good vibe restaurant.

It was one of the good recommendations we had for awhile. The food was really a comfy food and feels like home made food instead of the usual feel of restaurant food. It was really good and would love to go back again.

We stopped here after a long day of touring Manassas National Battlefield. Traffic was hectic getting there but that's not the fault of El Mirador. We were seated quickly and our drinks delivered post haste. The Mrs had the Chicken Chimichangas which came with rice, beans and sour cream. She enjoyed it very much. $13.25 I chose the carne tacos (3) which also came with rice and beans. The pieces of beef were very tender. Delicious. But, the rice and beans were beyond great. If I'd have known that the beans were so good, I would have just ordered a platter of that with rice and some tortillas. I've had beans at many places. These were TOPS. $12.50 Wish we were local so we could enjoy their food regularly.

Four colleagues and I were first-time diners at El Mirador on a Friday afternoon for lunch. We had to pull together two tables to sit all five of us. This was not a problem to the accommodating staff. They greeted us with a big smile and took great care of us for the next 90 minutes. The dining menu was quite extensive, with helpful pictures and descriptions. As we were to find out shortly, there were no specific lunch items or smaller portions. We started with guacamole and chips, which was amazing. The guacamole was the best, according to all of us. It had a thicker consistency than other guacamole we had had in the past and tasted super fresh. Our orders came out as they were ready. My tacos al carbon came out first. The portions were huge with four tacos (2 Chix and 2 steak), a generous heaping of beans, yummy rice, and toppings for the tacos, including tomatoes, lettuce, and avocado slice. It was outstanding. I managed to eat most of it but could have shared it with another. Next out was a chicken dish with plantains substituting rice and beans. It was a beautiful dish that was thoroughly enjoyed. A beef burrito appeared next, and it was the thickness of an arm. Chicken fajitas appeared through a cloud of smoke. Lastly, a three taco platter was delivered: one chicken, one beef, and one beef tongue taco. All these dishes were freshly prepared and delicious. It took a little bit of time for everything to show up, but it was not an issue. The staff was delightful and happily accommodated some substitutions on the menu. We all remarked that we would like to eat here again in a couple of weeks when we return to the area.

Ate lunch here with the wife on a Friday. Quite a few tables inside and most were occupied. Lots of takeout going on. We both really enjoyed our food and it came out piping hot! Typical ambiance and decor inside. It's one of those places we've all been where there's alot of action and movement with great food being pumped out. Enjoy!

SOLID, I cleaned my plate! Had the beef tongue and wanted more. Tender, juicy and did not need doctoring. Highly recommend the place. A little hole in the wall but had a steady stream of clients. Will be back to try the other dishes. Best pupusa I have had to date. Belly was happy!

I went to El Mirador on Friday night. I ordered a Pupusa Loca and a chicken burrito. The pupusa came very hot, but once it cooled down, it was super delicious: filled with cheese and beans and some kind of vegetable. The burrito was a little disappointing. It was filled with only chicken. Luckily the plate also came with beans, rice, avocado, lettuce, sour cream, and melted Mexican cheese: that part was simply delicious as well. I just wish there was more inside the burrito. I would recommend eating there though.

El Mirador is such a gem! This Salvadorean restaurant offers a nice extensive menu, offering sopas, sandwiches, salads, platters, Tex-Mex items, seafood, sides, and drinks/beverages. We came here for lunch, and we ordered: +cheese pupusas - these were made perfectly, with the slightly crispy edges, and the cheese was the right amount of saltiness and generously used for the filling! +chimichanga - this came as a platter, and I opted for the carne asada for the protein - note that if you don't request any other ingredients, the chimichanga only comes with meat as the filling; I'd probably ask it to be filled with cheese and beans next time! It was fried wonderfully, and I was a huge fan of their refried beans! +horchata - this was creamy and cinnamon-y, and one of the better horchatas I've had! The staff here are super friendly and welcoming, and they do check in with you often! The place does get jam-packed, and there seems to always be a wait. However, that doesn't affect the service at all - the staff are on point! Would love to come back and check out the rest of the menu. Plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot. +tasty pupusas! +simple chimichangas! +all foods made-to-order +friendly & welcoming staff! +plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot

I drove 2 hours to this area to pick Tulips. After that, it was time to eat so I turned to Yelp to look for Latinx food recommendations and stumbled upon El Mirador. As soon as I walked, it was a busy place. And I could tell it always was. That's always a great sign. We ordered lots of food (pictured) and everything was delicious! Food is freshly made, but you also get your food pretty quickly after you order. Only reason for the 4 stars is because they forgot one of our meals (there were 5 of us)...they brought everyone's meal except for one. We waited a while, maybe 15 minutes (we were trying to be patient) but eventually went up to the counter to check on the soup. We eventually got it but it was very late.

The Food: I always get the tacos here, specifically the Lengua, Al Pastor and the Carne Asada. All the meats were incredibly tender and flavorful, just cooked to perfection. The toppings and salsa just add that extra level of satisfaction to your meal too. The consistency of quality here whenever I visit has always been the same, and that's why I keep coming back here. Portions are also very generous here for the price. The Service: Service was great. I've had both ordering experiences inside the restaurant and outside at their food truck and had no issues with wait times or quality. Overall, a 5/5. Would highly recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for some delicious tacos.

My favorites were definitely the birria tacos and the sope. Price: 3 birria tacos for $12 -- pretty fair pricing for the portion and quality. Atmosphere: Very packed, which is usually a good sign, but still nice and organized. Plenty of seating and the restaurant was decorated really well. Family-friendly atmosphere too. Service: Customer service was great and everyone was friendly and helpful. Overall: Good food, fair prices, lots of options, and a nice environment. Definitely would come back!

The cost was usually $10.99 each, thru the app at least - you know how they like to mark things up in the delivery apps.... I also ordered a side of sour cream, which at $3.50 per serving is ridiculously expensive... You can buy a whole container at the store for that! For $3.50 I would usually get a whole side of something (corn, fries, onion rings, etc) at a restaurant..... The empanadas were pretty good. It was flavorful and seasoned well.. it was slightly spicy, at just the right amount, not over powering... glad I had some sour cream handy! The portions were good and reasonable. However, $3.50 for such a small container of sour cream is a bit absurd. Should be $1, or $1.50. Not sure what the yellow sauce was that came with the empanadas, but it smelled decent and didn't have any strong scents or flavors to identify it. I found the meal to be very enjoyable! I would order again.

This item listed a variety of meats and side dishes to be served for 3 people. For starters the side dishes were served on individual plates as you would receive a standard side of rice and beans. So only two plates were served because there were two of us but we paid for a dish that serves 3. At the $80+ price tag we expected leftovers. The amount of guacamole each of us got was less than Chipotle gives you on a bowl. For the price point I am expecting an appetizers worth of guacamole. Because if I were to add up the cost of the individual items on the menu that made up the parrillada familiar I don't see how I got any value here. Additionally for a dish that included ribs as one of the meats to serve for three people, we literally got 3 ribs... Just between my gf and I we almost finished everything on the plate. Which again is suspicious for a dish that is supposed to serve 3 people. None of the meats were really stand out. To be clear the food wasn't bad but it was definitely not the best I had ever had and for what they charge I admit I was curious if they were able to back it up since similar dishes elsewhere are a fraction of the price. To top it off they charge an addition fee for paying with a card for a meal that ended up being over $90 before the tip. And they do not offer free water in a cup, we were forced to buy and drink from plastic bottles. The server was nice and attentive but the atmosphere was incredibly loud based just on the volume of the music, not even the other guests. There is definitely a lot to improve on here. It may be worth checking it out if you are having drinks is at the bar which is where most other patrons were sitting, but for food especially for value Manassas alone has so many other options to try.
