Listen, I dream about this spot. The pupusas are the side of large paper plates and have so much flavor to them. I have always been a beans and queso pupusa girl and the cheese is pull apart and the beans are so flavorful and the pupusa shell is just... it's just so yummy! Great thing about it is the cleanliness and the food smell busting through the windows. The young woman helping that took my order was realistic about the time frame which I appreciated because these bites of delight are fresh off the griddle! The food is so good but we waited about 30-45 min for our food. It's really popular to call ahead apparently so folks were coming up and getting their food before us while we had been waiting a good amount of time. The cooks were super apologetic. The pupusas are soooooo good. I don't mind waiting but I think the next time I will call it in. read more

Okay, y'all are really sleeping on this truck. They have a 2 pupusa combo that comes with rice and beans for $10. Seriously, in this economy? A steal! They do a 2 taco combo for $8 as well. If you don't want a combo, you can opt for these items a la carte. Prices aren't listed on the menu for solo pupusas or tacos, but I ordered an extra pupusa and it added on $4 to my total, which is still hella good compared to other spots! If pupusas and tacos aren't your fancy, they do have burritos, quesadillas and tortas. Pupusas comes with curtido (pickled slaw) and salsa, both of which are hella good! They're made fresh to order, so there is about a 15-20 min wait, depending on how busy they are. What I loved about this spot is you can opt for any of the meats they have! Order the adobada and thank me later. The carne asada was okay, not as flavorful as i would have liked, and the revuelta was one of the best I've had. It's pretty soft in texture though (normal), so if you like things a little more meaty and less one dimensional in texture, maybe go with a more solid type of filling. They're parked in the 76 gas station, across from Sutter hospital. It's pretty in the cuts, from I80, but worth the little detour. It's easy to get back on the freeway though once you got the goods. They take Apple Pay, cash, and I'm pretty sure I saw a QR for Zelle or Venmo. read more

I'm not a person to ever complain but I've already drove to this place from dixon multiple times and they were closed both times even when their hours specifically say from 8-8pm . and they never answer the phone either. Pupusas here are made hot & fresh. The 1st thing I noticed was the steam coming off the plate & the great flavor of the beans. I immediately knew I was in for a treat. Be prepared to wait about 10-15 min or call ahead to place an order. This little truck is always busy & for good reason. read more

I always pass this food truck when going to the optometrist and finally had a chance to visit. It appears to be family operated. As others have said, they have papusas , and for the less adventurous, tacos and burritos. I'm a vegetarian, and they had a number of choices for fillings, and I was pleased to find that they could put more than one filling inside. I got the plato which included rice and beans, for $11 I think. I had to order in my broken Spanish, but the lady was very friendly and it worked. The preparation took a long time (~15 minutes?), which isn't pleasant waiting outside on a cold day at a gas station, but on the plus side, it is made to order and not simply reheated. The resulting food was very tasty and there was enough for two meals, so I think it's a fantastic value. The tomatillo salsa was good too, though the salsa roja was not and I am not a slaw or pickle guy so I didn't try that. Next time I'd order ahead (or visit the optometrist after ordering haha) and try some of their more adventurous fillings, and there will be a next time. read more

VERY delicious. I got their special, 2 Papuans, rice and beans. It was enough for two people. I got the carnitas version. It takes a bit of time to make because they make them fresh and hot, so order before you fill up your car or go through the car wash. This is going to be a regular stop for me. read more
