Stopped off on my way down to Vacaville and decided to try something a little different. Walking in, very colorfully decorated and was greeted by rgevladybat counter. I didnt ask, but when she found out it was my first time she insisted on giving both of the salsas to try with my Bacon Breakfast Burrito. The burrito was large, and quite filling even without potatos(extra), it was filled with egg, cheese, beans, bacon and pico. Both salsa's were very flavorful and added and extra layer of flavor to the already delicious burrito. Needless to say, I will stop here again in the future. read more

Great experience all the way through! The place had a beautiful atmosphere with all of the owners art on display. You can tell this family owned business by all the care and concern you get. Come to find out it is and we were being tended to by the owners daughter who was amazing! Very sweet and attentive, this was on Sun 7/26. I saw they had a chilaquiles burrito which I have never heard of and got excited to try it! I chose it with green sauce and carne asada . I asked her how if they can make the eggs runny and she said yea we can that . I thought the eggs were going to be inside the burrito, but to my pleasant surprise, the eggs were on top hugging my burrito. It was perfect. I'm from San Francisco and I've never heard of this but they need to get on this ASAP. My mom had a taco Dorado made with Papa and a Carne Asada taco which were great too. EXPERIENCE 2/14/2026 We ended Valentine's Day this year with dinner here at La Cocina. We saw an ad for this restaurant while patroning another restaurant and the Mister suggested we try this out on our way back to Vacaville from Sacramento. Since it was Valentine's Day, he called and made sure there was room for us and we are so glad that there was. SPOT // 5 stars Situated close to HWY 80, right by the exit on the freeway. Tucked in a strip mall with plenty of free parking. When we walked in, it was a total vibe! We love the decor and the vibrant colors. They had plenty of tables open despite the Valentine's Day weekend. Excited to be seated and have this dining experience. FOOD // 5 stars, fire Since it was Valentine's Day, we opted for one of the specials they had advertised. Fajitas platter It was brought out in a platter complete with Steak, Shrimp, Pork and Chicken. We opted for flour tortillas (corn was also available). The plate also consisted of rice and beans and guacamole. We asked for no onions, but were disappointed when it came with HELLA onions both on the side with the peppers and under the meat on the platter. I myself don't mind it, but the Mister did. He ended up moving all those onions to my side so I can eat it all up. Super flavorful with each bite. Guacamole was on point, fresh and I couldn't stop eating it. CHOCO TACO // 5 stars, fire As soon as I saw this and mind you it's homemade, I could NOT wait to get my hands on it. So so so good, just like the original Choco Taco we all used to get from the ice cream trucks that roam our neighborhoods back in the days. I was not disappointed. They also had churros and flan as their regular desserts, but today they were out of churros so I was not hurt when they offered the choco taco. STRAWBERRY MOJITO // 5 stars, fire I forgot to say they have a full bar. The strawberry mojito was listed as a Valentine's day special, so I'm not sure if they have it all the time. I hope so, because it was amazing! SERVICE // 10 stars, fireworks The staff was extremely attentive and catered to our every needs. I'm not sure if the Owner came and chatted with us and asked how we were doing, but she did mention they've been open for 15 years!!!! Yes, 15 years. NOT HAVE AGAIN: However, I did not care for the taco salad with carnitas (big chunks), primarily because of the tortilla shell. Came in here with my son to order a regular burrito and a shrimp burrito. I ordered the shrimp my so. Got the regular... but before we get into that.... I waited to be seated for almost 8 plus minutes while the older waitress took her time sending messages behind the register after telling me she would be right with me. Keep in mind the restaurant is dead. No one is even here aside from one other table. It also took another 6 plus minutes of just sitting here before we even got a menu. Cochinita Pibil brings us back time and time again. Everything we order is always very delicious and staff are always friendly.

Amazing food! If you want to eat plant based, get the heart healthy bowl and have them hold the chicken. For a treat, I get it with the chicken. They do have other vegetarian options. On occasion, the Service can be a bit slow but it's worth the wait. We always get salsa to go because hands down it's the best salsa in Solano County. Smokey and flavorful, not spicy but just right. Always clean and very friendly staff. We drive a half-hour to come here because the food is that good. read more

So I called this place and ordered 2 breakfast steak burritos like I've done many times before and it was amazing then I call in my order today for pick up they made 3 burritos and it was completely wrong I told them I will wait because I wanted my correct burrito I asked for two steak egg cheese potato's and pico and on one add sour cream They gave me these child size burritos with over cooked chewy steak burnt eggs and mushy potatoes that's all. No pico are cheese was added. Who eats a burrito no cheese also it was $23 I left a $6 tip because I felt bad they had to remake an order even though it wasn't my fault. The regular chicken burrito was the size of a small newborn and came with complimentary chips and salsa. I hadn't had breakfast so I justified crushing the whole thing by telling myself it was breakfast and lunch. I ended up having a very light dinner as well because I was still feeling it. Excellent, friendly service, a super colorful and high ceiling space and a big, clean bathroom. On the down side, their salsa was not very spicy and I didn't love the flavor. The burrito as well was not the most flavorful. Quality ingredients but just kinda bland. I was working super near by and only had a 30 min in Ute lunch so I came here 2 days in a row. Food, service, and ambiance are pretty great at this place. I usually get their shrimp fajitas. The dish is fun as it is served still sizzling. A bit costly, but one could make two meals out of one dish, in theory. They are generous with their chips and salsa while one waits for the food. OMG! I just ate the best burrito of my life! My husband and I split a Super burrito with Cochinita Pibil. So unusual to find this meat at a local restaurant. Not only was it delicious (and enormous), but the ratio of rice to beans to meat and all the fresh filling was perfect. Not heavy on the rice--heavy on the flavorsome meat. The food here is great, and the service also is excellent. I'm a big fan of the chicken tortilla soup. True confession: I use it as a base for a pot of wonderful homemade soup (I add sauteed mirepoix, bone broth and other ingredients). Does it NEED to be doctored? Absolutely not! It's great all on its own - I'm just doubling the amount using my own fresh ingredients and herbs. Their soup is terrific, chicken, carrots, zucchini, onions, and other goodies. Have never had a bad meal here. Generous portions, fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. If you don't live in Dixon, it's close to the 80 Hwy and well worth jumping off at the exit to get a yummy meal! read more

Coming from Fairfield and on our way to Sacramento when we found this place-we were hungry for Mexican food. First I was fascinated with their dining tables and chairs and pretty much the entire decor; very festive and colorful. We walked in just in time before closing and they did not make us feel rushed. They even took time to talk to us welcoming and thanking us for coming in. The food was definitely authentic and very delicious and their chip & salsa were fresh. Edit: after much conversation with our server, the drink prices were adjusted and they corrected their mistake. Even another customer chimed in "this is a Mexican restaurant! No one would assume the price is for a wine margarita!" We thought the food was good, but be aware of the drinks!!! The menu says margaritas $8.99. The server ask hard or soft (tequila or wine)? Of course margaritas have tequila, so we got hard. $14.99! Not a crazy price, but not what's listed on the menu! It's false advertising and misleading. The server said, "yeah, we're working out the menu". We said great, but menus have the prices of items and this is false advertising. It would've been 5 stars. But drops because there's no way a customer would know they're ordering a $15 margarita when the menu says $8.99 (and no indication of wine or tequila anywhere on the menu). read more

Been coming to your restaurant for years. The food and service was always excellent. Today, my husband and I went for lunch and were very disappointed in the quality and Presentation of our food. I had the chimichanga plate the burrito was flat with runny sour cream on top and missing other toppings that was listed to come on it. And on top of that, our server had on way too much perfume and he smelled awful. Very overwhelming each time he came to our table. Sad to say we won't be coming back unfortunately. read more

Found a locally owned restaurant with some authentic Mexican food. Chips and salsa are complimentary. Service is very good and personable. Their salsa was one of the best I have had with fresh chunks of tomatoes. For me, the hardest part is finding a Mexican restaurant with good salsa, so that requirement was easily met here. The food was just as amazing. It was freshly prepared with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend their crispy tacos, the shells are freshly made. The chicken enchilada and vegetarian chimichanga (which you can add meat too) was also really good! Also very fresh. I will def be back for more. Highly recommend this place.
