Pür & Simple was just okay. The food was fine but very cookie-cutter -- nothing exciting or memorable. Unfortunately, the service really brought the experience down. Our server was terrible: never brought the coffee and completely forgot our toast. With better service, this place could be decent, but overall it was a pretty underwhelming visit.

Place was packed when we came Sunday around 10AM. The food was good as we tried a variety of stuff but the bad would be service. Not that it was bad but I don't think our waters were refilled and the check took about 5 mins to come. Decor would be what one would expect from a brunch spot. Nothing bad but not overly fancy either. The tables are a little tight. I would come back again if I was in the area. But I won't come just for this.

We came here for a weekend brunch, and had a mixed experience. Our server seems very scattered, and we had to ask multiple times for items and wait for long periods of time. However, the food was good and delivered what was promised. We particularly liked the skillets, as it provided a lot of quantity and filled us up for the day. A nice place to have a relaxed brunch.

This place offers average food. We tried their brunch takeout. It came cold likely due to the delivery. I requested medium for the Norweigan egg Benedict but it was overcooked. Home fries and sausage was not bad though. Overall, it's okay to dine here if you are nearby, but maybe not worth travellinh on purpose.

Overpriced for what it is. It makes me not want to eat in Vaughan anymore. Just taking advantage of the audience here. Service is quick and the atmosphere is simple. The food is good, but you would expect more for the premium.

I checked out this brunch spot with a friend. The location is convenient as right near Vaughan mills. Inside is aesthetically really nice and the wait time was only 10-15mins which was not bad at all. Our server and the table runners were really nice and they made sure to check on us often. My friend ordered an omelette with fruit and I got a latte and I got the 'Canadian' where it gives you an option to have half a waffle or pancake on the side. The food was great and I would definitely come back again!

I enjoy the brunch here! The aesthetic itself is pretty and it has a nice calm vibe. We went on a Sunday morning around 9-10am (after restrictions were lifted) and it was extremely busy! We were seated and we had to flag someone down to order as they were so busy. The waitress was in a rush and seemed very stressed. We finally ordered and honestly we waited a very very long time before we got our meals. The food itself was pretty good! Presented beautifully as always. They have great drinks too! We got the avocado toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs. This was delicious we also ordered the rainbow chocolate chip pancakes for the kids. They enjoyed it too! Other than the long wait times on a weekend I'd say it's a cute spot for sure with great brunch options! :)

Service: Went in on a Friday afternoon and we were seated immediately as there were not many tables. Service and food was quick. Food: Norwegian Benedict - They have a choice of spicy or regular hollandaise sauce. I opted for spicy and it had a subtle kick to it which was nice. Eggs were poached well with a gooey centre. It came with a good amount of salmon and other toppings. The home fries were nice and crispy. Carole's Cinna-Cakes - I loved these. I was worried it would feel too bread-y or cake-y which was not the case. It had a slightly chewier texture and had the Cinnabon flavour without being overly sweet. The sweetness level was perfect and we didn't think syrup was necessary. Overall: I will definitely be coming back. I had a hard time picking something because everything looked so good! I wanted to try the skillet or cinna-bacon but went with the safe options instead. I thought the price was reasonable compared to other breakfast places. While the Benedict was on the higher side, it also included more ingredients than other places might. The interior is very cute and their website is also very nice!

I would definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch! There are soooo many options! We needed a while to look through the menu since everything looked so good! We decided to go with the Fried Chicken Benedict and Ray's Extravaganza Skillet. Both were VERY delicious! I do not think you can go wrong with any order here. I would recommend coming hungry and maybe going through the menu before going to the restaurant if you are like me and are very indecisive! I am definitely coming back to try the other options!

    Lox avocado toast

The avocado toast was good, the potatoes were crispy and delicious. However I was a bit disappointed since the avocado did not taste fresh, it tasted like a store bought guac. Overall I do recommend this restaurant since the service and atmosphere is very nice and there are lots of menu options!

Had breakfast on the new location in Ancaster with a few friends last week. The place was packed but the waitstaff had their groove on--attentive and made sure the orders were done right. The place is relatively new so it was clean with beautiful decor. The food was okay and overpriced. I had the Canadian and my French Toast was not cooked through--mushy center, so I just carved and ate the edges. I would have liked my bacon on the crispier side but it was half cooked and the over-medium eggs came in over-easy. I went to Stacked in Stoney Creek a couple of days later and they exceeded beyond my expectation! Pur & Simple was a good experience but the food wasn't exceptional and not worth going back for.

As an ex-barista, I'm fussy--I hate spending money and not getting a quality product. Unfortunately, the coffee was a swing and a miss. I ordered one iced latte and one hot latte. In both drinks, the espresso was burnt. I actually watched the barista pulling the shots, and I could tell immediately. To make matters worse, the hot drink was barely a latte; it was essentially a cappuccino based on the absurd amount of foam on top. Plus, the milk itself was ruined. There's a certain temperature and texture for steaming milk, and this was clearly burnt milk that had been frothed way too aggressively. Aesthetically, the café is lovely--it's cute and a great spot to work from home. My recommendation? Skip the espresso drinks. Maybe try the matcha or a pastry instead. I definitely won't be back for the coffee.

First thing I noticed was their display of focaccia sandwiches. They had 4 kinds. I wish I didn't already have lunch plans. I love focaccia! The fillings offered were interesting like, mortadella x pistachios or prosciutto x truffle! I will have to return. I came here for the pastry. They had at least 16 different kinds of croissants and danishes. Not including cookies, whole pies and they also serve coffee and loaves of bread. Tiramisu danish was one of their popular items so I got that plus a plain croissant. Wow, the tiramisu was a 10/10! I mean, there was even a piece of ladyfinger soaked in coffee inside the danish! It was unbelievable. It was such a delightful dessert. As for the plain croissant, it was sadly average. It didn't have that crispy, flaky bite I enjoy. Note there is no seating area but there is a counter with a view of the parking lot.

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.
