Visited yonge Café & Bistro for the second time around - this time I had a great experience! We visited over the weekend for brunch and tried their "Eggs your style" plates with sides of pancakes (dulce de leche). The breakfast plate was pretty average - but the dulce de leche pancakes were so delicious! We would definitely come back for those pancakes! Service was also great - very attentive and friendly staff. Nice and chill ambiance.

Staff is so lovely and food is really good for the price paid. I've tried similar breakfast places around Bayview with higher prices, so I'm definitely going to be coming back if I want a nice laid back brunch.

We have visited the Yonge Cafe many times over the past year. We normally go for brunch, but we have also had lunch and holiday dinner takeouts from the restaurant. The owner and her family are so friendly whenever we visit and the food is really great. The restaurant doesn't try to be fancy, and it doesn't need to be - the food is great and comforting, the service is friendly, and it feels like an old neighborhood hangout that we want to visit and support again and again. Our favorite meals are the chilaquiles, pancakes, eggs benedict, turkey dinner, and they now have sandwiches that we have really enjoyed too. They also have amazing brownies! We are very cautious about COVID safety and the owner and staff take all necessary precautions to ensure that everything is safe. The Yonge Cafe is a bit hidden at the corner of Yonge and North York Blvd., but it's really worth visiting, buying local, and supporting a great family-run cafe!

Great food. Owners take pride in food and service. Always a smile by the serving staff. Validated parking on weekends.

Where you order and where you pick up your drink isn't designed to allow for a good flow for customers, aside from that, I have no complaints. I ordered a latte and grabbed two goodies for the road, a raspberry croissant and a ginger molasses cookie. The staff working were welcoming and friendly and my items were ready rather quickly. Once I got back to my hotel, I settled in to enjoy and get some work done. My latte was smooth and creamy and just what I needed to get my day started. My raspberry croissant was beautiful and packed full of flavor. The filling wasn't too sweet and there was just the right amount inside. I saved my cookie for a snack while I traveled home later that day. I love how it had chunks of sugared ginger on top. The cookie had the perfect amount of chew to it and the ginger on top added an extra burst of ginger. It was lovely. I'm so glad I found this cafe on Yelp and I highly suggest you pay them a visit. I'm still dreaming of all the pastries I didn't get to try.

I found my salmon cakes to be on the smaller side (they could have added a third) compared to the smoked salmon toast and even the BLT which were both HUGE. Also the pancakes were ever so slightly on the dry side. Good flavour though. Otherwise just an absolutely stunning rooftop location , super chill and friendly service from Jack. However, when i got off the elevator, there were 3 hosts at the stand, heads down or when their heads were up, they were talking to each other just total ignoring me. Dont even acknowledged me a tiny bit. I ended up just ignoring them back and walk in as my party was already here. I didnt exactly know where they were seated, ao i had to look around. Not the best experience. Food wise -- nothing on the menu stood out. But I wouldn't say we picked this spot for their food. Drinks were at best mid for the price. Could definitely get a nice fancy cocktail at that price point. Service was lacking, had to constantly look for our server. Table beside us was a couple whom were also not happy. But again, come for the views.

This place looks like a fairly typical breakfast spot, offering a good amount of seating, large menus for both breakfast and Lunch, and of course, a ton of different pancake options! I'm usually not someone who orders temporary menu items or specials, but the second I saw the S'More Toffee Lava Pancakes I almost had a heart attack, so of course, I ordered the stupid pancakes to avoid such an problem. The food didn't take too long to come out, and they looked even better in person than they did in the menu. Maybe I'm just a little over enthusiastic about these pancakes, but I can pretty confidently say these may of been the best pancakes I've ever had. They were big, fluffy, and this plate did not skimp on the toppings at all. Overall, Stacked Pancake & Breakfast has definitely become a go-to spot for me when returning to Toronto. The food here was phenomenal and even though it took us almost 30 minutes for someone to give us a bill and let us pay, the pancakes were too good for me to get hung up on that. If you need some breakfast in the Queen/Spadina area, this is the place to go!
