Went on a Saturday and surprisingly only waited about 10-15 mins before being seated. Alex, our waiter was very friendly and although he was busy would check up on us often. I had a vanilla iced latte and the avocado & bacon toast. All very yummy! I love that the toast comes with both guacamole and avocado slices. It's topped with tomatoes, bacon bits, cheese, green onions and some sort of sprout that I can't remember the name of. And two poached eggs, of course! Came here on Thursday morning while we're waiting for tires to switch. It was just after 8 AM and the place is empty. Payal was good waitress can't complain. The restaurant was beautiful decorated and the service was quick. The food was very flavourful and plated nicely. Love the bread basket as well. Why does this restaurant have such low reviews?? The moment we stepped in we were met by bright colorful decor and a friendly host. It was so busy I don't even recall music playing because there was so much chatted from a full restaurant. We were seated pretty quickly though and our waitress Natalia was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the simple benedict which was anything BUT simple - it tasted DELICIOUS! It was almost as if I flew to Paris and sat down at a bakery because the bread was so fresh and the ham was so delicious. I was visiting family here in Canada but next time I'm in town I'll be sure to come here to enjoy brunch again. read more

On March 15 I had a Caesar salad. That night I was so sick for at least 12 hours. Food Poisoning was suspected. I will never go there again or have anything uncooked like salads at any restaurants again. I have never been so sick in my life. I was not going to post a review but others need to know. We've given this place way too many chances. Every single weekend our takeout order gets messed up, missing items, wrong meals, or something completely forgotten. It's honestly impressive how consistent they are at getting it wrong. We kept hoping it would improve, but this weekend was the final straw. Came here for breakfast when I was in the area and have to say, the food is very tasty and the vibe is great. I love the airy and pretty vibe of this restaurant. Even the floors and the washroom are aesthetically pleasing. It's a great spot to catch up with friends, date, family, big group, etc. The restaurant is spacious and menu is extensive so there are options for everyone. Prices are fair and service was decent. I have come here on 2 occasions. the first I was ordering takeout which took 35 minutes for avocado toast. I decided to give them another chance and brought my 2yo and 4yo for brunch. I was sat immediately as the restaurant had many empty tables. for 10 minutes we sat at the table without any server check in. I went to the hostess to inform her as my kids are small and grow impatient easily and waited another 5-8 minutes with no service. We left in a mess as my kids were hungry and confused and still nobody attempted to apologize as we were leaving. This chain has horrible service for mediocre customers ver priced food. This place smokes Cora's. I almost never give 5 stars for a review, but Pur & Simple blew me away. With a long menu of bennys, omelettes, skillets, and waffles the size of a manhole cover, it's all high quality fare and scratch made and it puts Cora's to shame. Even the Hollandaise. I confirmed this before ordering the Santa Fe Benedict, with perfectly poached eggs, perfectly ripe avocado, and a silky smooth Hollandaise sauce. What surprised me was the potatoes. Normally, potatoes are a throw away carb that I almost never eat. However, these reminded me of Krispy Kreme donuts--impossibly crisp and crunchy on the outside, but the inside was like buttered mashed potatoes. I just keep munching on them until they were gone. Then I started raiding my companion's plate. And that's just breakfast. I need to come here for lunch! I could come up with two irrelevant complaints: first, the name. There is nothing simple about these dishes. They are imaginative works of art. Second, the selection of cappuccinos are Nespresso, which is basically powdered instant coffee mixes. It was seven of us and the food came out 45 mins after orders was taken and absolutely and completely cold. The only thing warm was the eggs on top of the skillets orders which got cold after few secs. The skillets were not even warm to keep the food warm. What was the point of ordering food on skillets ? Omelets were cold and out of taste . The chicken waffle was a piece of cold waffle and a dried up fried chicken maybe from next door kfc! First time going there and never go back!
