I came to Harrisonburg from Los Angeles to visit family, and right before I left my friend tried using perm solution on my hair. (Lesson learned...NEVER be the guinea pig!) I was on the plane terrified at the damage of my hair. I went over to Hair Fashion by Michael and got my hair done by Judi. Not only does my hair look FANTASTIC, but she made it healthy again! MIRACLE WORKER!! She also explained to me what needed to be done for upkeep. According to Judi, the shop has been open over 30 years. That explains why these people KNOW what they're doing. Before coming to college, I had long hair and had been going to a hair salon in my hometown for years and was nervous about getting my hair cut any shorter; however, after coming in as a walk-in one day, talking with the barber I now see regularly, Ali, and seeing the vibe of the place I was confident in cutting my hair short here. After that haircut, my confidence was considerably higher and was definitely more comfortable with my hair. Since then, I have been getting my haircut with Ali who has consistently done a stellar job (my hair grows pretty rapidly so I get it cut on a monthly basis). Haircuts aside, the establishment itself is beautifully kept and always provides outstanding customer service, even calling or emailing to confirm appointments a day in advance.
