Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I am in my sixties and out of shape. They are patient and encouraging. I have enjoyed every class. Love the studio ! The teachers are awesome! !! The classes are great! BUT......KNOW THE RULES! As a six month new member - I can' t encourage new or prospective members enough to read the fine print on your contract regarding being 3 minutes late to class or not canceling a class during the 4 hour window. You're charged $20 bucks if you don't make it to class within their 3 minute window - doors are locked- I get it - teachers don't want late shows-- one is also charged $15 if you don't cancel within a 4 hour window. I've been given lots of grace when i haven't cancelled a class before that window - Today was my first time not arriving on time - i was 10 minutes past the scheduled class time. Maybe they should remind attendees of the charges just to help out their members. Overall- everyone is very nice and positive. read more

I went to my first Pure Barre class on a whim. Almost 3 years later and I am still obsessed! This is the only time in my life that I have actually enjoyed exercising. Not only do I never dread going, but I truly look forward to it. The culture of this studio is so inviting and comfortable. The classes have a basic format, but they're always a little different and the playlists are always fun. The instructors are all amazing! They push you and motivate you to work a little harder, while always encouraging you to listen to your body. The workouts are fun and challenging. Even after as many classes as I've taken (almost every day!), I continue to feel challenged with each and every class. If you're on the fence about trying it out, they offer a free Foundations class to see what it's all about. It only took me one class to be hooked! read more

Although I love Pure Barre classes I am very disappointed in the manner in which this studio chose to handle the cancellation of my membership. Up until this point I felt the staff was always kind, helpful and curious to their members and to each other. During the quarantine the studio was in a position to close their doors for a period of time. I was told they would 'take care of their members' with regards to the auto pays that were still being taken from my bank account. They felt that their manner in which to resolve this issue was acceptable. I chose to contact my bank and pause payments. Although they were providing online classes during this time, it was clear they were not able to provide the services as outlined in 'the Pure Barre/Membership contract'. The studio's response to me was that they are a small business just trying their best to stay a float and they appreciated their members support and continuing to pay their membership fees. At this point they were asking for a $15/month pause fee. Upon re opening they provided a significantly reduced number of members allowed in each class due to social distancing (as per the city/county regulations). At this point they did not increase the number of classes and of course only members who were paying the full membership fee were allowed to join. I was not aware of any discussion about a 'reduced membership fee' due to severe reduction of classes and size of classes. Additionally, the studio allows members to sign up online for classes and most classes are continuously full only allowing members to be put on a waiting list. This was not a very efficient way of handling the large number of members and limited number of classes. (Prior to Covid 19, this was a typical occurrence and made it difficult to attend classes that worked in my schedule... I question the number of members ratio to the number of classes provided). After many phones calls and emails inviting its members who have 'paused' their accounts to please re-activate their memberships, I had decided cancel my membership. Due to the financial hardship of so many of us during this trying time, I called to let the studio know that I was sorry, but would need to cancel my membership. I shared my thoughts and also assumed that a studio who promotes and advertises themselves as "community supporters and lets work together as a team attitude", would not be enforcing their Early Cancelation Fee. Additionally it took the studio four weeks of correspondence before they were able to provide me with their final answer which was that they would be collecting my $100 Early Cancelation Fee and could I please provide a current credit card. Additionally I will add, another reason for canceling my membership was that I did not feel the studio was a clean as it could have been - prior to Covid 19. I began bringing in my own mat due to the fact that ONE small cleaning cloth was provided to each member at the end of each class to clean the studio's mat and all the equipment used in the class. Between classes the bars were not cleaned as there was not enough time between most classes to do so. This too contributed to my decision to cancel my membership. It was explained to me that 'it was out of their hands and it was a Corporate decision' to enforce the $100 cancellation fee. They offered me a one month use of their facility (and to pay for the month) in lieu of paying the cancellation fee. This did not make sense as I had already explained that I was not interested in attending classes. I shared with the studio that I was aware that they could in fact absorb this small fee into their studio costs and that it was clear they were not interested in doing so. In closing, I chose to express my feelings on Instagram in a professional and non confrontational manner as I figured that is what one of the purposes of Instagram/Facebook, to freely share opinions. Apparently that was the the case for Pure Barre CDA. I was immediately blocked and my post was never shared with the general public. I had always thought the staff working at the studio were kind and helpful in many ways. When this occurred I was disappointed and dismayed with the manner in which they handled this situation. It apparently did not matter that a member was having financial hardship (during these covid-19 times) and was not able to pay the $100 cancelation fee. However, it was a priority to the studio to continuous asked its members to "stick with us through this hard time and keep your members current". It is a very difficult time for ALL of us and I just expected more from Pure Barre CDA, one of our small businesses here in Coeur d'Alene. read more
