Over a year later, I get a call from a collections agency. They sent Over $100 to collections. But I had canceled the membership? So I called and they "never received the letter!" on top of that they actually had been charging my husband's business account for the membership for months and months. Somewhere along the lines our accountant noticed and ended up putting a block on them. I called them and excuses and then they said I can dispute the collections agency but they wouldn't list charges. It's a gym that is full of scammers and liar. also wanna make note that my husband literally fell off of 14 foot trailer onto his back and couldn't get to the gym because he had a really bad injury. Yet they made it an issue. That's where the problem is! They know how to make people stuck with their membership. It's corporate greed. If they actually put their money into the gym. We were members since 2014. But after the stunt they pulled, I will never go back. I could excuse their fees and they're ridiculous stuff for a while but the moment that we were desperate and needed them to cancel it, they pulled that and then refused to refund us any money after they "never received the letter." We threw away over $300 because of their mistake. Terrible people. TERRIBLE also, a few years back when I returned from Africa, I was vulnerable with a trainer because I've gained 10 pounds when I was away serving as a missionary. And he made fun of me in front of all his colleagues in hopes that I would buy his training. He was quite overweight himself! But he humiliated me to manipulate me to buy his program. Thank God, I have a backbone and couldn't care less. But I still stayed despite knowing that their trainers were jerks. I don't know why! I should've left then. But now I'm sharing this in hopes someone reads it and decides not to go to this gym. They're all scammers.

I dropped in for two classes at this studio and the atmosphere was that of a mortuary. All staff were mentally checked out and gave the impression you were bothering them while there. The coach for the first day was just a terrible person (Shawna?) while when approached and asked a question, rolled her eyes and moved on. Sorry to bother you, my mistake! Studio was definitely in the worst shape and clearly not cleaned properly class after class. Shame on this studio, the manager, and owners. Trash! OTF do yourself a favor and clean out this studio.

The first evening I was there, Brooke introduced herself, chatted, made sure if I had any questions to just ask. Every staff member I've interacted with has been accommodating, polite and eagerly willing to assist with any demo of equipment I wasn't familiar with. I'm an average gym guy, in shape 66yr old been worked out my whole life, just wanting to keep in shape. This gym is full of younger men and women, some in incredible shape, yet the vibe of the gym made me feel comfortable and not out of place. In my 35yrs in LA I've been to a lot of gyms, I find Chrome far above in quality, equipment, staff attitude and helpfulness. They are a bit pricey but it's a serious gym and well worth it. It's not a premadona gym, it's for people who want to get out of a gym what they put in! For those of you here that have left negative reviews, I'm sure, like most, there's been some bad experiences like any place, some due to ones own expectations and behavior and attitude. I have been active my whole life playing sports through college and being in the military as well so I have done some great workouts in my life with some amazing trainers and gyms so I don't say what i am about to say lightly. The classes are great for both conditioning and strength. The atmosphere is amazing too. Everyone is encouraging in the classes and pushes each other to reach their max potential while working out. Luke is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to get the most out of you while you are in the gym. His trainers are amazing as well and do a great job adjusting to each individual at the gym's strengths. It is nice for me to know that I will be coached and corrected to proper form and told to go down in weight to make sure I am not hurting myself and getting the movement right. I had never done really anything with kettle bells so this was all new to me so the coaching has been great from all the trainers at The Lab. I look forward to times I go there because I know I will pushed to my max and never forced to do a movement that hurts me because they are great at giving you a variation or something different to do in place of that movement. I highly recommend trying out a class and signing up.
