Pure Barre as an exercise modality, as well as this particular studio, are absolutely outstanding. I joined eight months ago as a mostly sedentary office drone / occasional weekend warrior. It was the hardest workout I've ever done, and that hasn't changed. What has changed is my strength, stamina and muscle tone. I started seeing gains at three months and it's only gone up from there. At 40 years old, I'm astounded at how far I've come in a short time. And the endorphin boost after catching your breath cannot be beat. It's all thanks to the incredible women who run this ship. Every instructor I've had has been top-notch. They run smooth, professional classes and dole out meaningful praise and helpful form correction. I most often take classes with Lindsay, Ayla, Holly and Abby, though I'd recommend them all. The women at the front desk are wonderfully kind and thoughtful, as well. The class formats bring a lot of variety to barre -- from Classic's resistance and Align's stretching to Define's weightlifting and Empower's cardio. They have frequent, reliable class times throughout each weekday plus weekend mornings. And yes, they charge $15 if you cancel soon before class. For me, that serves as a great way to ensure I choose the gym over the couch. I can honestly say Pure Barre has changed my life and health for the better. My biggest issue is the front desk staff or person who answers the phone (rather does not answer) are too busy getting ready or getting out of a class. I get you give your employees the opportunity to go to classes. Yet it is a huge inconvenience when you are trying to reschedule or make the deadline before you have to pay. I dread getting a hold of anyone there. Maybe start a text option or stagger your staff times. Don't get me started on "a manger will call you, the owner will call" just answer the call. read more

After being a member for 6 months I decided to cancel my membership. I was told that I had to give a months notice, so I let them know and they confirmed that March was my last month because I payed my membership fee on February 28th. After traveling for the first half of March, I was happy to return and attend a barre class but my app showed I was no longer a member, I called expressing my concern, the front desk associate tried to be supportive but was unable to help me, she told me I would receive a call from the owners later, and I did not. It's now April andI understand my membership is no longer active, my point is, YOU WILL be forced to pay for a month of membership you do not have access to and that's not made clear. read more

Be sure you read what you sign! They are very money hungry and will charge you $20 if you cancel a class even if you have an unlimited membership. This makes no sense, even if the class wasn't full. I was on a month to month unlimited membership and they make you give over a month notice or they charge you even if you can't make a single class. They cut their classes and change their times and tell you you can go to the Boulder pure barre even though that was really far for me. One of the teachers tried to push me way to hard even though I was unable to do what she wanted due to an injury, so much I refused to go to her classes. Please really watch what you sign here. I would recommend just buying classes and stay away from the membership at this studio. I was a member at another studio and never had these issues. read more

I haven't done barre classes anywhere but Pure Barre but something was different about this location. I love the location and the fact that it wasn't super crowded. There were only a handful of people in my class however because of this the energy wasn't high. I am going to try this place again on a weekend and see if there's a difference. The good things though were that I got personalized attention so I actually learned that I was doing a few things incorrectly before I came. The staff was wonderful and this was probably the cleanest studio I have ever seen! See you ladies soon! read more

Great little studio - though Pure Barres around the country all pretty much look the same (why those darn spotlights?) but it's the people who make it really special & Broomfield's crew is outstanding. While visiting the Denver area, I took 2 classes back to back - one with the delightful owner. Both classes were different and very challenging. You will shake and you will get results. If you want to try it out, definitely take advantage of any one-month package deals or trial week that they offer. Pure Barre is expensive (same pricing all around the country) but for flexibility and toning butt and thighs, you will not find a better workout than barre. My experience (taking classes at different Barre studios around the country) is that you are not going to get enough arm work to produce real tone & definition with 2-3# weights - you will be stronger and more sleek, but you will not be "cut" in the slightest. I work out at a small private studio in my hometown (ATL) and they include barre among other disciplines - yoga, weight training, calisthenics etc. and I do get the tone & definition I like to see. But for a good, hard workout with a bunch of nice people, Pure Barre is a great alternative. read more

So grateful I found this workout and THIS studio! I had tried Pure Barre prior and found it extraordinary challenging (and expensive), however, I determined to change my life this year and refused to let myself have ANY excuses. I've done the intro month (it's paying off) and am now purchasing a monthly membership to continue to get stronger and more lean (I also changed my diet drastically, but this was helpful in keeping me on course dietarily speaking so it's not for nothing). The owner Kari is amazing and so caring about her clients, plus all the instructors are super friendly and helpful to make sure you're getting the most out of your workout each time! I absolutely LOOOVE Pure Barre!!! At first I have to be honest that I felt intimidated. I walk in and there are all these women were in unbelievably amazing shape and here I was, brand-new with some pounds to lose and very little confidence when it came to this strenuous, yet rewarding workout. However, the manager Keri is so welcoming and just absolutely wonderful. She is so dedicated to her business and you can tell it is truly her life's passion. Quickly, I realize that all these women want you to succeed and it is like a small family. Do I have a long way to go? Yes, absolutely! This is a secret I think i should not reveal. But since yelp helps me out, I am thinking of letting this secret out. Pure Barre workouts - ROCK! Even though you are working every since inch of your muscles and vertebrae, even though their seven minute abs make you swear you won't come back, even though every pore in your skin steams out - this work out does not leave you sore. Once you are done with the workout, you feel HAPPY! No sore owwies .. It is great for improving flexibility, lose weight and inches on thighs and abs. Girls... its great for the bikini season!! Great workout and super friendly. I attended for the first time and really enjoyed the class. It is tough but still doable even if you are out of shape. If you are in great shape it will work muscles that you didn't know you had. The people in the class including the instructor were all very friendly and welcoming. Oh. My. Goodness. This was a very hard class, but SOOO good! I came on Thanksgiving day and boy, it was crowded! All the dedicated women were wanting to get a workout in before stuffing their faces! This was my first time at any Pure Barre-type class and it really kicked my butt in a fantastic way. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and excited to be there. You use the barre, a small ball, small weights, and a double rubber band in these exercises (which are provided there). You have to wear socks and most people had on these grippy kind of socks they sell there and at other various places. But any kind of socks are fine. The studio was clean and spacious. I'll go through a bit of the class because I couldn't find much of a description of people's experience: the actual workout had some weights and arm exercises and you start in the middle of the room, then a lot of stuff on the barre that involved the band working your butt and inner thighs. You do a lot of small movements of your pelvis and various isolation exercises. We ended on the floor with mats that were brought out and some abdominals and stretching (which really helped me not be sore the next day). At the end, they give you a disinfecting wipe to clean your mat and you put everything away. I was sweating A LOT and feel like I got an amazing workout from doing this type of class and I highly recommend for a challenging workout. It awoke muscles in my body I didn't realize I wasn't using! Everyone was really supportive and it's totally okay if you can't do everything. It's meant to be hard! read more

I love PureBarre.... It is seriously the only workout routine I have ever stuck to. The hour goes by SO fast! All of the instructors try to learn your name. Even if you suck, they encourage you!! Here's the thing I STRONGLY DISLIKE....and I don't want it to lose stars because it's so silly, but: I hate that when in a particular sprint/rotation a music choice is repeated if not finished. I hear the same song 3-4 times in the same class and this is repeated twice. This means I hear the same song 6-8 times in the class then again in my next class.... That is honestly the most annoying. Get more variety!!! I'm sick of going to class and hearing NOT ONLY the same songs, but the same mix, over and over again! Come on, we're not children, we like variety! Maybe you have to stick with corporate mixes, but it would be really cool if you could pick music from your area instead :)) read more

hardest workout everrr. this was my first barre class and i loved it. it was definitely something different and i was impressed that such seemingly easy and even wimpy moves could have me rolled up in a ball on the floor. wish they had some sort of deal for students or people who live out of state and can only drop in every now in then (other than the $23/class rate). a punch card maybe. my only critique is that the positions changed very quickly and it was kind of a hard for a newcomer to catch on and understand what they meant by "tuck, tuck tuck." they have a breaking down the barre class though, so it would be good to advertise that people should go to that (or maybe their lite class) before trying out the regular class. p.s. i wish i had grippy socks! would have helped a lot with slipping during the class. they sell them for $15 or so at the studio but you can easily get em for half the price elsewhere. :) read more

I am midway through my third week of the new client special, and after about 10 classes I'm seriously in love with Pure Barre. Halfway through the workout, I always think: "Oh no, what did I get myself into?" In the beginning, I couldn't do a quarter of the abs workout. But I kept going back, and kept working on it, and I'm already seeing the results: my arms have always been pretty lean, but now they're SUPER defined. I swear my butt is already two inches higher. My thighs are still the same size (maybe even a tiny bit bigger--looking forward to all the fat burning I've been hearing about) but they are starting to feel rock hard, and I'm seeing muscles in places I didn't know they existed. Pure Barre is definitely challenging. But it's fun to get the hang of the small movements--all of a sudden something clicks, and you think: oh, that's how you do it. I traveled last week for work, and I actually went out a found a Pure Barre studio so that I could get my fix--first time ever getting a real workout on the road, after 5+ years of regular travel. In fact, when a client meeting ended early, I thought: "Oh good. Now I can make it to the noon class." Hard, frustrating, and it will make you sweat and hurt but it's somehow a lot of fun, too. read more

Pure Barre is hands down THE BEST! I have gone to gym on and off for years but have always found a hard time finding a workout that kept me from getting and helped me stay motivated. I was always more of a cardio girl but knew that I had to add strength training if I really wanted to see results. I admit the cost of Pure Barre made me a little hesitant but the results I am seeing and most importantly, the way I am feeling has made it worth every penny. The moves you do are isometric, meaning that they are super small movements that work your muscles to the point that you are shaking like jello. The nice thing is that you never feel the uncomfortable soreness the next day, you just feel strong! Each day, the foundation of the exercise is essentially the same but every class and every instructor switches it up a little so you don't get bored. You really work all the problem areas for us girls--- triceps, biceps, legs, butt and lots of abs. We do lots of work at the barre but trust me you don't need to have a dance background---- I am the most uncoordinated person in the world! In just 10 weeks, I can see visible differences in all areas. The instructors go around the room and correct your form and provide feedback; it's like having a personal trainer at a fraction of the cost. The instructors and especially Carrie (who owns the studio) are super sweet and endlessly helpful. PURE BARRE IS WORTH IT! read more

Love this work out! Great for anyone wanting to tone and do a low impact workout. I am totally addicted. The instructors are all super sweet and friendly! Carrie, the owner, is wonderful!
