I have been searching high and low for a stylist since re-locating from Oahu, and I was lucky enough to stumble upon rave reviews for David Wong My hair had been highlighted elsewhere without being toned and as a result I had the dreaded brassy orange look. I decided that getting in the rotation of a truly gifted artist (photos evidenced that), was worth the wait, as anything worthwhile is. I knew he had the talent, skill, technique and devotion of his clients, but the equally important question was "would I LIKE him?!"...My hair is challenging. My hair is thick and I have enough for three people on my head, so I end up spending a great deal of time with my master crafters :-) We need to hit it off. When my appointment rolled around, I was so pleasantly surprised. I loved him immediately. He is fun, he listens, he goes above and beyond in customer service, he is realistic about what can and should be done with hair in order to maintain the health of your hair in the process. He is passionate about using the best products and techniques and is on the cutting edge of what's current. My cut and color were superb and when he noticed a few weeks later that it was getting brassy, he went out of his way to fit me in for additional toning because he takes so much pride in his work and in his client's satisfaction. He seems to be a genuinely good person. One of the only people I've ever encountered who has told me I tipped too much (and, tried to give some back!?- ) I tip high because my hair is a beast that must be tamed. There will be hours spent and sweat left on the floor, so I like to compensate for the extra time and extra work. He is just an absolute KEEPER!! Ladies, RUN, don't walk to book your appointment! P.S. I was raving about my new stylist to one of my best friend's on Oahu when she realized it was David and she had been searching for him everywhere and didn't know where he had gone. It is evident that her plans to visit me here have become more urgent and will include much sought after time in his chair!! read more

Tonya is AMAZING....she listened to what I wanted and was honest about what she thought which is a good thing instead of just doing what I asked even thPugh it was very damaging for my hair... she knows her stuff one of the many few stylists I came across that actually has gone to school for hair... I went in for a trim and overall clean up... She cut off five inches of my hair which is exactly what I told her NOT to do when I sat down. I also asked her to clean up my three outgrown layers and she did not re-layer it at all. It's slightly tapered in the front but it does not start high enough so it looks like dog ears. And the rest of my hair is all one blunt cut length so the taper does not blend into it well. It's the equivalent of a long, female bowl cut. I feel like I have a haircut like one of the boys from Hanson. Don't trust her to fix it so I'm going to another salon to put in layers. I miss my long hair :( read more

I came here to get simple highlights. I basically just wanted all over highlights to lighten up my hair. I don't want to name names, but the girl that did my hair was AWFUL! She pretty much just did a few highlights at the back of my crown. There was suppose to be 2 colors. Both colors looked exactly the same and wasn't even close to what I asked for. I asked why she hadn't done any highlights in the front because you couldn't notice a difference at all. She said that if I wanted them in the front I should have told her. What!?? I thought it was common knowledge that that is where highlights go! Then she half blow dried it and called it good to go. I asked if she was going to finish drying it and style it and she said that if I wanted that I should have told them when I scheduled. Needless to say I was pretty upset! The manager said I could come back and have someone else fix it. It was totally inconvenient for me to come back there for another 4 HOURS but I agreed. The next lady was slightly better. She did an all over highlight but the colors were still not what I was hoping for and the difference in my color is only slightly different. However, she did blow dry it and style it nicely and said that that of course was a service that should have been included in my last experience. Overall I would NOT recommend this salon. The service she gave me was totally unprofessional, cost me time, money and I did not end up with the look I was hoping for! read more

I was very disappointed with my results here. I went here to get my nails, hair, and makeup done and they all came out not as I had hoped. I brought a picture for how I wanted my nails done and I had fake nails put on. They didn't have any of the tools or colors to do my nails and all I wanted was a simple French manicure with a silver line and a glued on bow but they didn't have a sparkly silver and no bow. The fake nails did not even match up with my own nails and were wider at the end than my actual nails, so they fanned outwards. One of my nails came off the next day. For my makeup it was the same person and it was way darker than the picture I had brought. My lips were supposed to be a bubblegum pink, but she made them a brown orange. When I pointed out the difference she changed it to a brown pink. In addition to this I wanted my eyeshadow to be a champagne white but she made it brown and when I told her that it should be lighter like in the picture, she made it pinkish purple. The makeup looked nothing like the picture and I was not satisfied with it. For my hair it is normally long and straight and one length and I wanted it curled like taylor swift, but my stylist said she couldn't curl it after three tries and in the end it was just a simple curl that once again looked nothing like the picture and more like something I could have done better myself, having curled my hair only a couple of times before. I ended up having to fix my makeup myself after leaving because it seemed no one there would be able to help me without making it worse. I will definitely not be going back and I recommend not going here to do any service that they offer. read more
