The bulbs on the green onions could double as a weapon against a robber breaking into your house--one knock to the head and he'd be out cold. I hope by late July to come here weekly for some fruit and fresh vegetables, and to get some corn in August and September.

I also appreciated their focus on local and sustainable food sources but while also taking into consideration our (meagre) budget. They made all our food dreams come true. Some beers are also available at Co-op (in downtown Strathmore), but I find Sobeys has a much better selection. If all you're looking for is Coors Light, Bud, etc., that's available at any of the 12 liquor stores in town. But if you want good beer, try Sobeys. In most of my experiences, the staff haven't been too knowledgable about the beers, but the service is still quite good. Wine selection is not as good as the Superstore liquor store, which is just west of Canadian Tire.
