This is what stuck with my son and so when the time came of him wanting to finally cut his hair, he knew exactly where he wanted to go! However, I messed up with scheduling on Booksy. I didn't get my original requested barber, AJ but AJ was still able to accomodate us and set us up with Salt! Salt was amazing! We loved his whole vibe! My partner and I were left in a scramble to try a new barber right before a wedding and chose PURE out of convenience and good reviews. Photos of each barbers work helped us narrow in on Eric Laxamana, and oh my god, did he slay these haircuts. First he did my partner: I usually have to keep an eye on things when he is getting his haircut and give direction to make sure we get what is in the picture I show them, but I showed Eric two pictures, he did his thing, and Joey got out of the chair looking EXACTLY like the pictures AND BETTER because Eric also cleaned up his beard in a very modern classy way. Super clean fade, super even all the way around. Absolutely incredible. I'm so excited that I don't have to babysit his haircuts anymore- I know I can send him back to Eric and he will come home looking . Then he did mine next- all I had for him on mine was a really bad old photo, but he checked in to make sure he was understanding what I wanted and he knocked it out of the park again. A very clean and nice looking hair studio! This studio seems to focus on men's cuts but they also do women's hair and coloring! Their sign has the different IG handles of each individual. Kimmy is absolutely the best at what she does - and she does everything! She just did a purple to silver fade on my hair and I'm SO happy with it. I've done different pinks with her in the past and I get so many compliments on the color each time. She outdid herself this time though. She is an artist. She really knows how to paint on color to make it seamless and make the color dimensional. My hair is so healthy too! I cannot believe how healthy my hair stays after being bleached by her. I rarely write reviews on Yelp, but Kimmy who did my hair coloring was absolutely amazing. I had a hard time finding a hairstylist who can really give the color I want because I am Asian and my hair color is so dark. Most of the time my hair ended with looking very brownish. Kimmy is a very talented hair colorist. I showed her a picture of the color I wanted and gave her the freedom to do the haircut and styling. We decided to cut out the old color part so the new colors will stay more consistently over time. She also bleached my hair and root separately and ensure bleach doesn't hurt my scalp. The entire process took almost 6 hours but the result is amazing. Not only she gave me the ash tone I wanted, the color gradient and overall look are so natural. I go to see Joelle, I drive all the way from Berkeley for the excellent service he provides. He's patient when I don't know what I want, and I can tell he takes pride in trying to help me figure out what kind of cut I want to do. He has great attention to detail and always keeps my lines clean. He also knows how to navigate more troublesome cuts.
