We drove to ECB from Santa Rosa, Ca. With high hopes in our hearts. IT's hard to believe now, but ECB was the 3rd option down in Yelp's Vallejo offerings. Why Yelp? I have never experienced any place quite like Exclusive Cuts Barbershop. The shop itself is located at the very end of a teeny strip mall that looks like its getting a face-lift. The kinda cramped seating area boasts metal chairs with (some damaged) black cushions. A glass table held down by a pile of at least a jillion magazines Is placed in the center. There are maybe 10 tatoo-embellished barbers, all of them are 20-something, and each appeared to be highly skilled (and highly attractive). I used my phone to show The Hot Barber a photo of the haircut my son wanted, and the barber worked his magic. The transformation was astounding! Was this even the same kid? The whole cut took way less than 45 minutes. Hot tip: ECB ONLY accepts CASH. You've been told, so don't walk in all innocent like you didn't know. That's what I did, because I truly didn't know. The Hot Barber sent me next door to the atm inside the gas station store. Bonus: a lady came through with her little, and they were selling cut fruit covered in chili powder. Yum! read more

I can only speak for Tony on this review. 5 stars is a disservice to him. He is a 5 star barber on effort alone. He is a very talented and skilled young man who is constantly improving every time I sit on his chair. The last 2 times I sat on his chair, his blends were near perfect. During these COVID times he is even more sanitary than a surgeon, constantly wiping my lines with alcohol and cleaning his blades. I called and asked if they are appointment or walk-in only; they said they could do an appointment, so I made an appointment at 1. I showed up at 1 and when I walked in the dude said hi to me. I told him I had an appointment at 1. He told me that the 2 walk ins were ahead of me and I would have to wait (there were only 2 barbers in the front, so the wait appeared to be around 20-30 minutes). I left without getting my haircut. I would have shown up earlier if I knew they didn't do appointment since I had to leave around 1:30. If you say you can make appointments, honor them; don't mislead me or waste my time by giving me false information. read more

Long overdue review, these guys are great! As a man with long hair, I searched for a spot where I'd be comfortable cutting it off and going short. They guided me to a nice business cut, asked how short I'd like like it in the back (didn't want it too close), and how much to leave on top, and delivered perfectly. The shop is never too busy, and has great hours. Turning in to park can be a bit tricky, there's a median dividing the road near the intersection if you're heading west on Tennessee.
