The owner was there helping us, like immediately. He helped me understand how they fit the boys feet and how to size them. They had a HUGE selection of youth and junior hockey skates...and the prices were so much better than Facebook market place. The owner was personable and kind and helpful...plus his store has a zillion sports items. I don't know what you're in to...but he has it. So nice to be treated with kindness and with someone knowledgeable and meet a cool small business owner. Go there! Take your family there. Take your teams there. So imagine my delight when I found out there was one down the street from my job. I was looking for weights, dumbells to be specific. I didn't want to pay full price. I remembered that PIAS had dumbbells back in the day. I called and a nice gentleman, Mike, told me they were open and they had weights. I came in around 6:30pm. They were assisting another customer so I waited patiently with my mask on. More about that later. I inquired why one set of dumbbells were more than others(not weight related). Mike said the insulated black weights are commercial grade and the iron ones are not. The iron weights are at or around $1.45 a pound and the commercials grade is $2.00 a pound. Great information and it allowed me to make an informed decision. I bought a pair of 15# & 25#. There on signs on the weights that clearly show the prices. After Mike rang up the sale, as a courtesy he carted the product to my SUV and put them in the way back. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they weren't wearing masks and didn't require masks. They did have a sign outside saying they clean thoroughly and recommended we practice safe distancing. Other than that they have great selections for baseball, cleats. Golf and workout equipment. I will be back. You can sell your unused sports equipment to them. Just call ahead first before you lug it out of storage.
