They even had bikes. My favorite item was the little stuffed rats. The Panthers and rat connection started back in 1995 when former Panthers' captain Scott Mellanby dispatched a rat in the locker room with his hockey stick. That night he scored two goals and fans began throwing plastic rats down on to the ice. The rats became synonymous with the Panther's wining. The more rats that are thrown, the more games the Panthers won leading up to a 1996 Stanley Cup run. You can buy the plastic rats at the Bank Atlantic Center and fans continue to embrace the tradition. Pantherland also has a dedicated hockey pro shop where you can have your skates sharpened while you wait. They also offer stick sizing, helmet repair, custom skate fitting, skate molding, skate stretching and boot punching, rivet removal and replacement, and blade mounting. Other features of the store include a Florida Panthers conservation wall, Freeze Frame which is an augmented reality fan engagement feature, a curved video wall, puck and stick light installations, and a Panthers shield photo op. Prices are on the high end but the merchandise is vast and creative. I saw jersey's ranging from $130 to $210 but you are purchasing official gear and getting top notch customer service. If you are a serious Panther's fan you are going to want to come here and gear up before the next game.

The store is in a warehouse district off Clint Moore, but the front door does face the roadway to make it easier to find with plenty of parking. We walked in and were instantly greeted by staff. The store is a candy-land of baseball equipment! My son tried on or tested everything to make sure it was the right fit with plenty of colors and brand options. We ended up with a new gray glove, green helmet, black bat, blue backpack, black pants and green socks! One of the cool things HIT has is a glove steamer, which sits in what looks like a popcorn machine to soften the hard leather. It takes a few minutes and then its good to go! The store has had other locations before and moved to this location in 2019. They do a lot of business on the web and for league teams across the county. We had a really nice experience and don't be intimidated, the staff are thoughtful and genuine about their knowledge of the equipment. We will probably be back if my son continues to play.

We scheduled a test fit the following Saturday, and spent two hours hitting balls, taking data and analyzing my son's swing. Scott had some take out shafts that would be able to replace the entire set of irons and wedges, but wanted to start with his 7 and 9 to make sure they would work well. They did! Two weeks later we brought Scott the rest of the irons and wedges to get reshafted. By the end of the same day, they were completed. Scott even offered to let us pick the clubs up from his house since I couldn't pick them up during normal business hours. This has been an experience rarely seen in today's world of crummy customer service. Thank you Scott, you've been excellent to work with!
