it's very rare for me to give a 5-star rating. We enjoyed the food here allot more than any other Pure Kitchen or any other vegetarian restaurant. Service is fast and friendly, the food is also fresh and very tasty. If you like vegetarian food I highly recommend this restaurant.

Too many fries, too much distraction from the actual patty, but all very tasty. Unfortunate service.

I was hesitant to go to this restaurant in the winter, given that on my visits there last winter the restaurant proved to be very cold, especially at the street-front but even at the back. This visit proved more comfortable temperature-wise, but the restaurant was quiet with the front door opening only a few times. My friend and I each had the Awesome burger with fries. We both really enjoyed the burger but each of us agreed that the patty itself was overwhelmed by the bun and toppings. The fries were overly plentiful, too many too eat, and came with a wonderful, spicy ketchup on the side. I felt bloated afterwards, eating most of the too many fries. In hindsight, fries and salad half and half would have made a lot more sense, if they offer that. The waitress was my real problem. She was not terribly friendly and was rather curt, offering no food or drink suggestions or advice. Maybe she was just having a bad day. But don't take it out on your customers. She did ask if we wanted anything else to go with our meals. I asked for mayonnaise and added "if you have that here" to which she said yes and brought a side of "mayo". At bill time, I was very surprised to see a charge of $1 for a side of veganaise. First of all, did we get veganaise or did we get mayo? And why on earth would a restaurant charge for this fairly standard condiment? Very disappointing in terms of communications and billing. When I commented about the $1 charge, the waitress simply walked away, never to explain, thank us, or to be seen again.

This place is an absolute must if you're in the Ottawa area. The food is superb and the prices are what's expected for a nice vegetarian spot. The service and atmosphere is lovely as well.

A staple for Ottawa (and visiting) vegans. Their 'Transformed Kale Caesar' is a must try. Staff is always wonderful and friendly. Recently tried the weekend brunch and it was outstanding! Highly recommend if you're looking for a vegan brunch.

Came back-- this time with friends-- and I got new food. It was very good! The soup I got was a red lentil Dahl and it had sooooo much flavour. The wrap was great as well, however I couldn't really taste the falafel. This is just personal preference, but I prefer my wraps to be warm and mine was not. My friends all enjoyed their food, except we all came to the agreement that the food was quite pricey. A few of my friends got smoothies and said they were overpriced too. All in all, good food, good experience, but over-priced and relatively slow service.

My niece brought me here on my visit to Ottawa. I love all the vegan and gluten free options!! Service was slow but our server was very sweet and helpful. We ordered the cauliflower starter with both flavours. Buffalo was on the sour and spicy side and the other was a sweeter Asian flavour. I got the burger with cheese on a gf bun and a side of vegan poutine. The meal was huge!! I could have eaten either the burger or poutine only as my meal. The burger came with 2 patties which was not mentioned on the description. I would order it without a bun next time. The poutine was delicious. I wasn't sure how the cashew cheese would taste in it but it was excellent! My niece had the artisanal wrap which also was huge!! I wanted to have that but it only comes on a gluten wrap. She enjoyed it. She got half fries half salad on the side but couldn't finish as the portions were huge. Nice place, good food, lots of options for me:)

Definitely, the place to be for the breakfast - especially if you are vegan. Interestingly, in our 2.5 days stay in Ottawa, this was the only restaurant that we had a great experience with, in Ottawa, - even after checking out many highly rated restaurants (on Google and Yelp). Food: We went for an Espresso and a Golden Milk to start with. Espresso - I must say was heavenly. One of the best I had till date. Golden milk was quite homely and very well made. For the breakfast, we went for Almond Butter Banana Toast and Cheerful BLT. Almond Butter Banana Toast was great in taste - the only problem, the almond butter was very sticky. But I liked the overall feel of the toast. We even replicated it at home the next weekend. Cheerful BLT was quite amazing, They did try to replicate the meat, probably even in terms of smell, which wasn't necessary. But having said that, the sandwich was still very good in taste. I loved the bread that they used. Ambiance: There is a huge variety of seating available - high chairs, table-chairs, booths etc. The best seats would be the street facing - the ones at the end where they remove the glass to not just give the street view but also a street feel. Plenty of space inside. We actually preferred the table in the front section of the restaurant which had natural sunlight coming in - the one with the street feel were all occupied. There are booths and a few tables inside as well but that is all artificial light - not something we have in mind for a breakfast. Staff: The lady attending us- Katelyn - was good and friendly. The service was good and decently fast. Overall, would definitely recommend this place for breakfast. We were just minutes early from their lunch service to start but would definitely come back for that next time we are in Ottawa.

Decided to try this cute vegetarian spot on a Thursday night with my friend for dinner and really enjoyed it! We came at a peak time (around 7PM) so the restaurant was completely full but we were lucky to be able to snag the last table without any wait which was a score. The restaurant itself is really cute and even though it's rather small, they've made great use of the space and have a lot of tables. To start, we got the Radical Cauliflower Wings (with korean bbq sauce) to share and it was amazing! The sauce was delicious and it was the perfect size to share for two people. For our mains, I ordered the Fantastic bowl (swapped out the tofu with falafel), and my friend ordered the Liberty Buffalo Cauliflower wrap and we were both really happy with our choices. The prices are a little on the steep end for the portion size that you get, but I'd definitely come back here again!

Had a great visit here with family visiting from out of town in spring of 2019 and would definitely go back. Don't let construction in the neighbourhood hold you back. The staff are super-professional, and the food is very flavourful and is served quickly. There is something for everyone on the lunch menu. Also a favourite spot for a great espresso or a vegan smoothie after sports!

The Liberty Buffalo Cauliflower Wrap is loaded with all the Buffalo flavoured deliciousness!!! Fried cauliflower, buffalo sauce, ranch, pickles, tomatoes, carrots, greens, all combined to create this amazingly delicious wrap, with an option of fries or salad as the perfect side. This buffalo cauliflower tastes JUST LIKE chicken, if not better! I don't know how they do it, but it's as though you're munching on a real buffalo chicken wrap :3 I'm a meat eater myself, but must I say that this vegan wrap is just so dang delicious and I tell you, even the biggest meat eaters are going to love this wrap!

I went here for a dinner with a few friends. The restaurant was really busy as usual but we made a reservation so we didn't have to wait. Highly recommend making reservations for dinner time. Alcohol prices are similar to most place and they don't have a huge selection but have a little of everything. We ordered the dumplings and cauliflower wings as an appetizer. The wings were really good!!!!! Perfectly cooked and highly recommend getting these. We got both Korean bbq and buffalo flavoured and personally I liked the Korean bbq one better but they were both great. I got the fantastic bowl which was a lot like pad Thai and it was delicious. I had enough for 2 meals as I was pretty full after the wings Our server was really nice, and super helpful in terms of suggesting beers and food. Overall it was a really positive experience.

Great food, list the place and must go for vegan options. I highly recommend this place and the staff are very hospitable.

Overall it was a great experience. We went for an afternoon snack. My goal was to convince non-vegans that vegan food is amazing. It was a success. We got the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings and Perogies and shared it. The ranch sauce and the dill sauces that come with these items are so tasty. It compliments the dishes extremely well. Service was very helpful and hospitable. We had some allegies to navigate and the waitress knee her stuff. Great vibes and atmosphere. Comfy booths. I'd like to go back and try more items.

Highly overpriced compared to what you get. Food was fresh and flavors good (not extraordinary). But extremely expensive, save your money.

At that time, it was the only Whole Foods in the greater Toronto area. Whole Foods has grown on me, likely because Markham has one and I frequent it often. I don't fit the profile of a typical Whole Foods shopper who tends to carry expensive handbags, must get everything organic, and can afford all things expensive, including tiny bottles of elixirs that extend their years on planet Earth. I like their dairy-free items. I love Carbonaut bread and the entire bakery section, including tiramisu. There are specific items that I get at this store. If I'm looking for romaine lettuce or celery, you'll likely see me at a grocery store that offers these items at normal, cheaper prices. Four years ago, I was in the Glebe and saw this Whole Foods store. I didn't go in. I had already got what I needed at a Metro. On my most recent visit, after spending a few hours exploring the area with a friend, I realized that I needed almond beverage and lemons. I had yet to set foot in any grocery store. They were good reasons to check this store out. I had parked underground. The elevator got me to this store. I exited the elevator on the main floor to hit Winners. This store has a cafe that occupies the entire floor. It was busy just before noon. People must love getting coffee and a baked good here. When I returned just past 5 pm, you could hear crickets on this floor. The cafe was closed. It was different. My local one is still open when I'm there at 7 pm. I have yet to hit the cafe at any Whole Foods location. I took the escalator up to the second floor, which is where the entire supermarket is. I immediately found almond beverage. Organic. Sugar-free. Perfect. I also found the produce area. The Rainier cherries looked good. They were also so expensive that I blocked the price out and moved on. I got a couple of lemons. You could get a bag of six. The price was the same if you calculated how much one lemon was going for, so you might as well pick your own pristine-looking lemons. I looked around. It has the usual salad and hot food bars. You pay by weight, which does add up if you aren't careful. There were lots of snacks and drinks to choose from. A can of flavoured carbonated water was going for $2.69. It makes you wonder how this store determines the prices that it sets. It was enjoyable looking at the plants and flowers. It's a nice grocery store. I had an equally nice woman at the checkout area. I paid for my items with a debit card. I didn't need a bag. My lemons were already in one, so I carried it and my carton of almond beverage to the elevator. It was convenient taking the elevator down to the underground parking lot. I walked to my car, paid for parking, and left. The lemons and almond beverage were great. I'm glad that I got what I needed at this store. I had a fun time shopping here. It's my second Whole Foods that I've been to where it has two floors. We'll see if I return in another four years. Maybe I'll try the cafe... haha! (262)

When she told me about this special, I had the following day to take advantage of this offer before it disappeared. After a great day shopping, I capped it off by getting a drink from this CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice. Driving over to this location made me cut through a part of Ottawa that I used to spend a lot of time walking around. I used to stay at a hotel at 140 Slater Street and it's still a hotel! I reckon that walking from there to this CoCo would take ten minutes. I parked on Bank Street. It was free parking by the time that I got there after 6 pm, so I was thrilled. If you're there during the daytime, you'll have to pay, which is the only downside to visiting this location. This CoCo is on the northwest corner of Bank Street and Somerset Street West. It looks like a tiny store, but it isn't. It's deep when you walk in. I had the nicest woman help me out. I asked if the Canada Day drink was still available. It was. I got it with less ice. The sugar level was fixed. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. It didn't take long for my drink to be ready. I thanked her and happily headed back to my car. The Canada Day drink is the Three Guys Milk Tea, but two other guys in the form of toppings decided to join in on the fun. I will say that you you love toppings in your bubble tea, this one is for you. One word: hefty! My large cup was a third full of toppings. I thoroughly enjoyed this bubble tea on my birthday. You didn't know what toppings you were going to suck up and enjoy with each sip. The milk tea was a perfect balance of strong tea with the perfect milky consistency that you'd expect from CoCo. The fixed sugar wasn't horrible. I'm guessing that it was at 25%, which I was fine with for someone who generally cuts out the sugar. Frankly, I was stuffed eating dinner and having this Canada Day drink with a built-in meal. I loved it all! I liked visiting this store. I hope to do it again when I'm back. I'm always excited to try out new bubble tea places, and it was pretty good. I went after work on a Monday and there was a steady stream of customers. There was a slight wait for my drink, but it wasn't that long. Service was very friendly but they didn't have some drinks and sort of discouraged me from ordering some drinks, lol. So I expressed interest in the Taro Milk Tea, but wanted to ask what kind of milk they used (like non-dairy creamer (yuck, not a fan of Coffee Mate-like products) or real cow's milk and if the latter, 2%, whole milk, or skim). The guy at the cash register didn't seem to know the answer to any of my questions and deferred them all to the guy making the drinks, lol. I was told that if I wanted a taro drink he recommended the Taro Frappe because the Taro Milk Tea is just powder and milk. The menu actually says "made with real taro" but hey if the dude making the drink is telling me they use powder, I'm figuring it's made with powder, lol. So I decided to pass on all taro drinks. I asked about the Hokkaido Milk Tea and was told they didn't have that. Ok then. The guy suggested I get a fruit tea. So I asked about the Wintermelon tea and I didn't quite catch what he said about it, but he then said he recommended the Hawaiian Green Tea because "it's really good." The Hawaiian Green Tea was listed as Mango, Peach and Passion Fruit and I don't like the passion fruit seeds that usually come with passion fruit teas, and told him that and he said no problem he could sub out the passion fruit with a different fruit like strawberry. I said sure and got the Hawaiian Green Tea with strawberry instead of passion fruit and with tapioca. It was $6.49. I got no sugar and less ice (which they call "cold." They call the default amount of ice "freezing" and no ice "lukewarm"). The drink was quite tasty, even though it didn't have any real fruit chunks in it that I could see. I read on the Skip the Dishes menu for the Kingston location that they use fruit jam. I'm happy to report that my drink wasn't too sweet. The tapioca were soft and chewy. Overall, I was pleased with my drink. Happy to have another bubble tea option in town. Paid street parking or paid parking lot/garage/parkade only.
