Tonight I saw Tresca, and I left in a total daze. I cannot remember the last time I felt so physically relaxed. I am pretty sure I fell asleep in the session and I can't remember the last time that's happened either. Tresca offered pain relief and in a way that was so calming my entire system settled- and that is beyond amazing to and for me, I am very grateful. I love the north Scottsdale location of the NOW- from the moment you walk in, the scent starts working on your mood and the sounds of the ocean in the treatment area drowns out the noise. There are several amazing therapists there and I'm so glad I can add Tresca to the list.

The complimentary massage was with Trang, who did a fantastic job. It was clear that she was talented and paid attention to my areas of focus/concern. She also provided a full 80 minutes of her time, as expected. Had my original experience been with Trang, The NOW would have received an easy 5-star review from me. I am changing my overall rating to 4/5 due to the hassle and frustration I originally had to deal with. That said, management and ownership did the right thing. Bad experiences (or just bad fits) can happen, but the difference between a good business and a bad one is what management and ownership do to address those issues. 5 stars to management and ownership, 5 stars to Trang, and 4 stars overall given my specific experience. I can comfortably recommend this location, as long as you are willing to speak up if you don't get what you deserve. After my first experience, I would not have considered this location in the future. After management/ownership intervened, and after my experience with Trang, I can confidently say I will return, and if my experience is anything like the one I had with Trang, I'll be happy to follow up with a 5-star review.

She checked in throughout the massage for desired pressure, but she was definitely more accustomed to massage for relaxation versus therapeutic relief. A few more notes...There was no table warmer, which was fine by me, but you get the gist this is a no-frills experience. There is no neck cradle on the massage table; you're given a donut pillow. We started with our Thai massages in a beautiful couples room. What we loved most was how they integrate stretching into your massage experience. If you've never had a Thai massage there are bars on the ceiling and they hold themselves up to walk on your back and use their feet to manipulate and massage different areas of your body. Although it can be intense, it is also surprisingly therapeutic. Next we went entered the couples aqua spa room and had our head-spa experience side by side. They washed, conditioned, massaged, scrubbed, squeegeed, rubbed, combed, brushed, rinsed and used a waterfall feature on our scalps. I don't think my scalp has ever been so squeaky clean in my whole life! The woman who did my head-spa offered to blow dry it and as someone with thick, ethnic, wavy curly hair this was what I was most worried about going into the experience. I let her try but ended up having to finish drying and flat ironing my hair in the main bathroom. They had a Dyson blow drier and flatiron as well as brand name perfumes in the rooms, which really made the experience feel luxurious. For us the combo experience of two 60-minute treatments back to back was a little too long. I started getting antsy towards the end of the second treatment. In the future I'd love to return and enjoy one treatment because it really was a top notch experience.

I received the best massage in my life from Lani the owner of Pure Knead Massage. I've had over 150 massages in my life and was spoiled by my first massage therapist over 20 years ago in Detroit. Karen was a former therapist for the Detroit Lions and I did not know how fortunate I was until after she retired. She could intuitively work the stress out of your body by tracing the knots in a manner that was soothing while receiving a deep tissue massage. Karen set the bar so high that until Pure Knead Massage, I had never experienced her equal. Lani, I am pleased to say, pleasantly surprised me by elevating the bar to a new level. I was exceptionally stressed with back pain at the point she came to perform an in-call at my apartment. Once I communicated that i was looking for a deep tissue or sports massage, she used 7 different methods of massage to work my body over. I was impressed to learn that in order for any masseuse to work for her company, they massage Lani as part of the interview process so that she can judge the skill level of the therapists that are interested in working for Pure Knead. If you're in need of a massage, give them a try. I suspect that you will become a fan for life just as I have. read more

Rave Reviews and Highest Marks for Pure Knead Massage...A Well Deserved 5 star rating!! I scheduled my first appointment this past Thursday. I have terrible neck, shoulder, & low back issues from sports related injuries/several major car accidents/lower back surgery 20 years ago. And, I'm so happy I discovered Pure Knead!!! Same day scheduling (totally accommodating to my schedule), the convenience of having the appointment at my home (a first for me), & the therapist was incredible! She was very experienced, knowledgeable, her intake was thorough, the treatment plan was deeply therapeutic and totally customized to my ailments. Not the typical cookie cutter massage. Throughout the 2+ Hour appointment, I was able to learn about the variety of modalities she was using in the treatment. And we talked about stretching, exercise routines, & a plan to move me out of my acute/recurring issues in same trigger areas all the time. The whole experience elevated my idea of what massage therapy can be. Should be! World Class treatment (and I don't say that lightly given my injuries). I was introduced to Pure Knead Massage through a referral from my friends at the Bikram Yoga Studio located in Paradise Valley, Arizona. As someone who practices yoga daily, when my back started to bother me, I suspected there was a good chance that Pure Knead would be able to take care of me. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing of a massage I received. I've been getting massages for over 20 years and was spoiled by the skill set of my first masseuse. She was a former massage therapist for the Detroit Lions back in D Town and was amazing. Through the process of kneading and warming up your muscles she could work the knots out your body with amazing skill. Lani at Pure Knead Massage set a new benchmark for me. She gave me a deep tissue massage that mixed several styles together in order to work the tension out of my body. What was remarkable from the experience is that I was relaxed when the massage was over as opposed to feeling like I had been put through a workout. I was in so much pain, saw a chiropractor and only received temporary relief. A friend recommended Lani with Pure Knead Massage and I can't say enough kind words about how amazing my experience was! First, it was fast and easy to go online, set myself up and book my massage. Lani was at my house promptly by my scheduled time (under 2 hours from booking), polite and professional and ready to work. I explained my issues and she tailored my massage to address my problem areas, while still covering the rest. She listened and asked questions about how I was feeling for pain and pressure and by the time it was done, the pain was gone!!! Best massage ever! I have had a lot of massage in my life and this one was the best! The therapist Lani was very experienced and used multiple modalities throughout the massage. She used aromatherapy (peppermint oil) to help my nose from getting overly plugged up while laying face down, she applied deep tissue and swedish massage techniques, reflexology, and I'm sure others that I was not even aware of. My experience included cool cucumbers on my eyes and soothing music, which she brought with her. This was my first in-home massage and the convenience of that was wonderful, plus it saves me time! We have used Pure Knead twice and have already scheduled them for a 3rd visit. We love their Couples Massage - so nice to have it done in the comfort of your own home as you can just stay in your robe and relax after the massage rather than have to hop up, get dressed and drive home. We found the therapists to be prompt and professional; the massages were really wonderful. The massage therapists bring all the equipment, including "mood" music, if you want it. The set up and tear down is quick and without ceremony. I would most definitely recommend Pure Knead to my friends and family. read more

Tis place is is the best I've been to several massage parlors in California because that's where I live and nothing compares to pure knead massage! I went to visit my family for the holidays and they bought me a massage that satisfied me so much that I am going to go to Arizona just to get more I have had a lot of injuries and a lot of surgeries and they knew exactly how to massage me without hurting me . I have had messages for years, by independent individuals, chain operations, and at 5 Star Resorts around the country and locally here in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area- you name it, but I have never had a message this good before- all I can say is WOW! I have used pure need massage about four or five times now. I have had a different Massage Therapist each time and all of them were the same high-quality. They clearly interview and are massaged by these people before they hire them which I think is amazing. For a business owning, busy, busy mom, they are a godsend. I also love that I can wake up in the morning with a kink and within a couple hours they're at my door! AND they come to offices and do chair massages for employees . She amended the policy saying you had to give 24 hours advance notice (understandably) & a month or so after the policy was changed I had a family emergency & couldn't make it. My daughter had a big seizure & we had to go to the hospital. I texted her as soon as I knew. Mind you, I hadn't had an issue since she updated her policy. The next week I tried to reschedule & it said I had to reach out, so I did. We talked on the phone & she mentioned the times I had to reschedule the times before she made changes to her cancellation policy. I countered with once she changed it there hasn't been a problem until I had an emergency. She proceeded to tell me I need to have child care lined up, moms deserve their time too, her mom had a special needs dependent, I could t use my daughter as an excuse.. just so far out of line. She said I could only come in if someone else cancelled last minute & I could fill in their spot. It isn't possible with 4 kids, I can't drop what I'm doing to go to someone's cancelled appointment.. I wish. The whole convo was wild & out there. I gave a two star instead of one because she is a good at massages.. it actually took me a few months to even speak on this, I was really just trying to reflect before I left a poor review.. Since I can't directly reply, I'll have to update to say you did in fact say something about my children as an excuse & I never did a same morning cancellation, it's not even possible to do on the app. The one time I had no choice I had to call/text you to cancel. I couldn't cancel it otherwise.. I'm glad you feel okay with your choice, I do as well.. you don't have to lie about it. Good luck with your business!
