We have tried almost every meal prep company in San Diego and Pure Meals stands out for so many reasons. 1) Their menu changes every week so we don't get bored of the food. 2) their ingredients are fresh AF and the quality of every part of the meal is perfect 3) and the macros are spot on! It's always a combo of carbs and proteins and fats. At first I thought I'd want to be able to pick our meals every week like every other meal prep company but now that we haven't had to in the months we've gotten these meals, it's SO NICE to have that time back and be on a subscription with a company that I trust their meals. They've also been super accommodating to food preference changes when we would want to substitute a meat meal for seafood. Their processes are seamless and they text a few days ahead of when they'll be delivering. Meals always arrive to our porch with plenty of ice packs. I'll rake more pics of the meals as we eat these but honestly, you'll eat these meals and feel like you're at a 5 star restaurant.

Onion meatballs with cauliflower and broccoli. One of the keto meals. I'm sure it would look better on a plate.

I love the clear communication in ordering and delivery. The price is good for the meals both for the amount and size. I really dislike cooking so these work perfectly for me and help me avoid wasting food or eating out.

Awesome meal prep company! I've been using them for a little over a month now, and along with a consistent work out schedule I've been seeing great results! The meals are filling and full of protein! The customer service is great and they offer accommodations for different diet restrictions. They offer delivery and pickup which is very convenient. I'd highly recommend them as a great meal prep company to start with to begin building good dietary habits. And the food taste great too!

WHOLE FOODS MARKET @ LA JOLLA VILLAGE…read more Whole Foods is one of my favorite grocery stores for snacks, fresh produce, and healthier food options. This location is in La Jolla Village, about a 10 minute drive from UTC. Parking is available right out front, but since it is located in a shopping plaza with several other restaurants and stores, the parking lot can definitely get busy. I usually come here during the weekdays, and surprisingly it is still pretty crowded around 1:00 PM. Even with how busy it gets, the store is always very organized, clean, and well stocked. I rarely have trouble finding what I need because the staff are constantly restocking the shelves. One thing I really like about this location is that it also has Amazon returns, which makes it super convenient if you need to drop off a package while grocery shopping. Some of my favorite items to buy here are the Simple Mills crackers. They are gluten free, made with simple ingredients, and taste so much better than a lot of processed crackers. I also love shopping for their fresh produce because they offer a great selection, including produce from local farms, which is always nice to see. Overall, I would definitely keep coming back to this Whole Foods. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the store is clean and organized, and they have a great variety of high quality groceries and healthier food options.

Love the Whole Foods bakery, they have all sorts of sizes for the desserts. Like for the tres leches, they have a family size and individual size. On Fridays, the family size cakes are $10 so a great deal! I also like their fruit tart, which also comes in small (bite size), medium (4 inch), and larger sizes. You honestly can't go wrong with any of those bakery items. I also love their hot bar, ~$12 per pound. There are always a variety of options, usually I see tikka masala, chicken tenders, rice, samosas. I usually add some of the premade salads from the cold bar too. Just have to be careful as it is easy to get carried away and get TOO much food, lol. Some items can taste a bit dry (since they sit on the hot bar all day), but for the most part, it's a solid quick meal. Note they may put away the hot bar a bit earlier than close so you might not catch it if you come too late.

My pickup experience was mind blowing. I was over 30 minutes away, marked that I was on the way, what kind of car I was in, and literally the second I pulled in, a customer service agent knocked on my window with my bag. Customer service 10/10, surveillance, 10/10 XD The parking lot is stressful and lots of people were hogging the pickup spots because they felt a lot more important than everyone else I guess. Parking is crazy, but the parking lot and storefront are clean. Keep up the great work fine people. I'll be back next time my espresso packets run out. I worked at this WF location for a really short time during the pandemic in the deli. It was really hard work! You have no idea! Be nice to retail and food workers. It's tough work.

Went back again on Aug 29 midday and there were 10-15 cars backed up to get in the parking garage and no spaces on the first 2 floors. Still many shelves were bare or big voids(cottage cheese section, ice cream section). But the biggest problem were the pro shoppers pushing multiple carts, crowding the aisles and making it really difficult to pick up my items. It has become untenable to go here other than for something unavailable elsewhere. The store needs to figure out if they want to be a convenient store they once were or a warehouse for professional shoppers.

They are usually kept in the refrigerated section of the stores that carry them. But I have to give them a low rating because of contamination. I bought a box of mixed flavors form Costco and while my wife was eating one, she almost threw up and passed out. She bit into a furry wad and thought it was initially a rat pelt. After I had listened to her near hysteria, I decided to further dissect the item and look into what it was. It seemed to be a wad of cotton which somehow accidentally made it into the product. I immediately contacted the company and their receptionist apologized profusely, stating that she would pass the info on to their quality manager, and then get back to me. Well, the receptionist called me back and stated that they would offer me refund or replacement. I opted for the replacement and 4 bars were shipped via Fedex overnight. But what I really found disappointing was that I was told that they had other incidences and the culprit was a cotton towel that somehow managed to get their batch contaminated. I received no apologies from anyone in management - it was the receptionist who communicated everything to me. Of course, in hindsight, it all seems innocuous, but at the time it happened, my wife thought she bit into a piece of fur! The whole way the company seemed so blase about everything really started to disturb me. They did not even issue a recall. I did not receive any call from the Quality Manager, or anyone in management. Which leads me to believe that they don't care at all about their customers or the quality of their product. How much effort does it take for someone in management to call me to apologize? Apparently too much effort for them.

I should have purchased the Beurre d'Isigny butter here rather than going to Paris, buying Bordier butter vacuum sealed butter, having the hotel freeze it, then paying extra for check in luggage since it's a colder storage area. Cuisenery didn't have Bordier butter but when I was doing my online research, I found that both of the brands I mentioned are pretty good. I actually liked my Beurre d'Isigny butter better, but that's more likely due to it being unsalted versus the salted version I bought in Paris (apparently, you MUST use salted on your bread per the Parisians). They also had a bunch of other frozen foods and condiments, including frozen escargot in puff pastry, frozen baguettes, mustards, and jams.
