Very inconvenient when you are in a foreign country and don't have access to a nail salon or any nail polish. I was quoted $55 for a dip manicure with French tips (natural nails only). I asked her to repeat it as I thought that was a lot and she said 55 clearly. Their website also says $55. Since they had already started I said OK. When I went to pay it was "$70 with tax" whaaaat? I reminded them they said it was $55 and the lady denied saying it (even tho she just told me that TWICE an hour ago. I paid it. Then I get home and see one of my fingers was cut twice and another still has a raggedy cuticle. Also, they quote a basic manicure as receiving a hand massage and I received nothing. I'm from out of town. My sister made us appointments here because she swears by their dips. I needed a full set. I've had acrylic nails many many times. These nails are SO thick I'm gonna have to go see my regular lady to have them filed down. I also told him coffin shape and they are totally square. I kept saying "narrower. Narrower please" and they stayed the same. And one nail is crooked. EVERYTHING is an up charge. I like my nails a little longer (not ridiculous just a little longer than medium) they charge you extra for that, the cats eye polish is $10 more (what???) coffin shape was $5 more. My full set cost nearly $60 when I walked out. OH....and I mentioned earlier I had an appointment. 12:45 and wasn't seen until 1:20. Appointments don't seem to matter. My nail technician (Peter) was terrible. I brought butterfly glitter to create the design pictured. After already filling my nails, he did not ask me what I wanted, so I had to interrupt him and tell him I wanted to use those glitters. He told me it was too late and he could try to stick them on top of the nails, but the clear nail was not an option. He then painted my nails blue (a shade he picked out) and put a clear coat on and said I was done. I asked him why he didn't put on the butterflies and he said they were too thick and could only use stickers at this point since he already applied a top coat. Why didn't he apply the glitter prior to the clear coat? I'm not sure. He then showed me 3 options of stickers he could use, I picked the LV ones and he placed 2 tiny ones on my ring finger and that's it. The salon I originally wanted to go to was closed on Sunday, so I decided to try a new one. When I walked in I noticed that they were very busy. This is usually a good sign that the place is good, and they were. Although I do have a few gripes. They say that a full set is only 28 dollars but they charge extra for every little thing. So that adorable free plate of fruit and bottle of water they give you, doesn't exactly seem gratis. I was charged for the gel polish used over my manicure, charged extra for the length and even an extra charge for getting almond shaped nails instead of the standard square shaped nails. My 28 dollar set ended up costing over 50 bucks!! That being said, Hellen, my nail tech, was very nice and actually did a great job. She left my station a few times to top coat other customers nails, which was a little annoying but they were very busy. So, I can forgive that. It's a nice salon, with friendly staff. I made an appointment (I heard the back street boys playing in the back ground and I knew I was going to the right place) at pure nail and spa and it was a 10/10 experience! The chairs were the most comfortable I've sat in at a salon and my manicurist Phil did a wonderful job and was a great conversationalist, which is important to me when giving my business to a nail salon. Then receptionist came over, directed me to a pedi-chair. Nope, want a mani- she said well let me see if one of the guys can take care of you. I see two free male techs arguing with her. Totally unnecessary and embarrassing for your business. Doesn't the customer come 1st? My time is just as precious as yours. I found this salon on Yelp after realizing that I need to TREAT MYSELF. It's only 10 minutes away from where I live, and the interior looks spacious and clean, so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Walking in, the receptionist was kind and told me to write my name on the list and pick out my colors. I came in for a regular mani/pedi (no gel because I work in a healthcare facility). They have a wide variety of colors to choose from. I noticed that the place was spacious and clean, as they were in the pictures. They were playing fun hip hop/pop music, making the environment more enjoyable. The receptionist walked me to my pedi massage chair to get my feet soaking until a tech was available to work on me. Right away, I was given a bowl of fruits (pineapple, grapes, and a slice of watermelon) and a small bottle of water. I felt so fancy!!! I was like "mhmmmm you is the QUEEN today." Lol. The nail tech came over and worked on my toes. Her name is Riy (pronounced like "Ree") and she was very sweet. She really cleaned up my toes, gave me a light foot massage, and did well with the paint. On to the mani! I picked out my color and sat in her chair. She was kind enough to bring my fruits and water over, which I appreciated. During the mani, we got to talk a lot and know about each other more. She's super friendly!! She shaped my nails nicely, even though my nails are kind of short. The nail cleaning and painting was great. Best part, the package was only $44! Very reasonable price for the incredible service they provide. I think I have found my go-to nail salon in Strongsville. read more

My sister got a fun Mickey design, and she was very pleased with the results. The only complaint I have was that my mom, sister and I all had appointments at 9 but no one got there until almost 9:10. I want to like this place but Jennifer is just awful. I spent over an hour and a half here for a pedicure and gel manicure. My mom and I went together, her nail technician Nicky did a great job and helped three people during my hour and a half time. Jennifer got up several times during to do who knows what. She has a poor attitude, work product, and just rushed through everything. All you want to do when you go to a nail salon is RELAX, and I did not. I've been going here 3 years. Overall the customer service is good but, I couldn't give this business 5/5 stars due to my recent experiences. Last time I went to get a pedicure, I called to make an appointment. Whoever answered the phone must've had a bad day because this woman was extremely rude. Which was out of the ordinary because, the usual woman who answers the phone is pleasant. The second time I went to get a gel acrylic set. I work in the healthcare field so I have to have shorter nails. Once I kept asking to go shorter, it was made out to seem like it was an issue. Then my original nail tech was switched out with Nhung-Nguyen. She was efficient and to the point but I didn't appreciate her underlying attitude. Which was obvious from the way she sighing and aggressive grabbing my hand. All in all they did 8.5/10 job on my nails. The length is to my liking but I can't stand the way they flare out at the top. The shape was pretty accurate to my inspo picture but again they flare a little at the top. I recommend booking with Rozana, who my mom usually goes to. read more

This salon ROCKS! I called the day of asking if they had any availability within the next couple hours and they got me in no problem. When I arrived, I was early and they were still able to take me. They took me to the pedicure area as I was getting a pedicure and gel mani. Instantly I was brought over a small fruit plate and a bottle of water. While they were prepping my pedicure bowl, they started soaking off my previous gel on my hands. Storm and True are the two ladies who worked on me and I couldn't be more pleased. The little details, like after putting foil on my nails to soak putting a glove over top so the acetone doesn't leak out was amazing. They also actually let my nails soak the appropriately amount of time so they didn't have to keep scraping the polish off it came off nice and easy. I always worry when i go to a new place that they are going to damage my nail with the drill/buffer. They only used a little soft tool for cuticles and explained to me why they were using it and for what. It was so nice to be informed. Storm did my pedicure and gel polish and I can go on and on about her service. The pedicures have a lot of massage to them, which in my opinion is the best part. I decided on the herbal pedicure and it comes with a herbal scrub, lotion and oil. I have a cold and got the decongestion one and man my legs and feet were breathing afterwards! My feet still tingled for hours later when I was home. It was worth every penny. My gel polish came out perfect and my nails are perfectly shaped and filed. Storm also does nail design and she showed me some designs she did and her instagram and i'm impressed. I immediately booked another appointment in a couple weeks to get my Christmas nails done. So happy that Pure goes above and beyond in friendly-ness and customer service. Will tell all my friends about this place. Very nice salon with reasonable prices! I had the classic pedicure and enjoyed the fresh fruit plate and a bottled water that they gave me during my appointment. That was a great touch! I also enjoyed a long leg massage that was included with your treatment. I only wish that they would let you add a tip on your credit card since not everyone carries cash with them. My total was $32 which is a great deal compared to other places I've been to in the area for a pedicure. The salon is very clean, cozy and open which I liked. I quickly noticed he was rounding them and said I didn't want it round I preferred square. However you can't change the nail shape once you've already cut. Now my nail shape is different on each foot. As for the manicure he did a terrible job evenly shaping the length of my nails and kept badgering me that his boss said I wanted gel when my appointment was specifically for regular mani and pedi. I ended up getting a manicure myself and it was gel, it was decent but only lasted a week. So the two week quota is a lie.
