I decided on a whim to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. I was in the area and Google listed them as the closest salon. They are a full service salon with hair stylists as well. The salon is very tidy. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and welcomed as I advised it was my first time. I was able to be assisted without a wait, which in most cases is a Christmas miracle. Vincent did my gel manicure and was so friendly and personable. Gina did my pedicure afterwards and came over to greet me while Vincent was finishing my nails. Gina was very accommodating and was very personable and attentive as well. I opted for the spa pedicure, which included callus removal, salt scrub and hot towels in attention to the usual nail filing, soaking and polish. I was given my choice of coffee or water. I was very pleased with my overall experience and would recommend them to anyone in need of their services. read more

While I appreciate efficiency... I would not return here. I was in the area looking for a mani/pedi. I already had some gel polish on my hands but wanted a fresh, clean set for my birthday so opted to get Bubble Bath by OPI on my hands (gel) and the regular on my toes. Immediately, they took me for an appointment and ushered me to the back. My first reaction was wow, this place is BUSY. Not somewhere to go if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, laid-back experience. I think the goal there is mostly efficiency. Which I do appreciate in many aspects, especially when I don't have a ton of time- but I also had some issues with this mani/pedi. I was placed in a chair where they began to soak off my gel (one woman) while the other started on my feet. They were pretty efficient and very friendly. However, I began to have an issue when the woman doing my feet kept leaning over to talk to someone or do something and her hair would just... touch my wet, oiled-up feet that she had resting in her hands. This happened numerous times. I'm just kind of a freak about those things.. I reallllllly didn't like the feeling of that. The pedicure went extremely quickly, but (see photos attached) it was a little bit of a "meh" job. I definitely don't feel it was worth $25+ and I 100% could have done a neater job at home relaxing to some calming music in a less stressful environment. The woman who did them was extremely sweet but it was just not the turn-out I was expecting. I did just move from Chicago so maybe I'm just used to a different caliber of precision/service, but I wasn't too thrilled with the result. The woman doing my nails let me know she also does hair. I was a bit stressed because as she was filing my nails (really roughly) she kept filing my SKIN. As I am typing this, my right thumb and left pinky are still sore around the nail beds because she was just filing down my nails. Then with all the alcohol soaks and ointments applied, it just kept burning the crap out of the open wounds (see photos I am attaching for reference). The manicure was done a bit more neatly than the pedicure, but still not great. Unfortunately, when I left, I had that weird feeling that your fingernails and skin are unnaturally bound together. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that she had rather hastily applied some of the gel polish to not only my nail beds, but my skin too, and all of it had hardened/cured under the light so that I had little globs of nail polish stuck to my skin. I don't have a ton of photos of that as yesterday was my birthday and I did my best to pick those globs off before the event I had planned in the evening, but you can still see the sheen of a bit I couldn't get off under my thumb nail bed. Finally, the manicure was both painful with the aggressive filing and a bit awkward. She did it quickly, standing, while I was sitting in the pedicure chair, so that when I switched hands out, I had to position myself at a really awkward angle. I did comment on how it's great that they strive for efficiency, and I really do think that's great, but when I was analyzing the results/feeling the (still) residual pain, I just don't feel all that satisfied. Add to that that there was really no cuticle trimming, just aggressive filing of the literal skin.. I didn't feel it was super sanitary. I hate to leave a bad review because I know the women there are just doing their jobs, as quickly as they possibly can, and I respect their grind. This place was extremely packed on a Saturday so clearly they do good work in some areas. But for me, they really missed the mark on the mani/pedi. I am new to the area and trying to establish my regular salon, and sadly, I just don't think this will be it. read more

Walked in here early this morning with my daughter hoping for a little girl time and some manicures and a pedicure. We were greeted warmly, and the receptionist was able to get us in right away with Gigi and Cathy. Both women were friendly and accommodating, and they were super patient in explaining everything to my daughter as it was her first trip to the nail salon. They helped her pick colors and patiently used several different rainbow and glitter colors as she requested. I received just a polish change on my toes (by my request) and my daughter had a full pedicure. Eugenia took extra time to paint each toe a different color and was beyond gentle and kind. Our nails look amazing, we feel very lucky to have come across this place, and will be back again. read more

VINCENT! I've been going to this salon for over a year now consistently so I've had my nails done by most of the nail techs. Vincent is the most meticulous nail tech I've ever been to. I drive 30 minutes every 3 weeks to get dip done by him. My nails have grown so much stronger this past year and they almost never chip. I made an appointment for a gel manicure and spa pedicure on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. My online reservation was made with no issue and the manicurist was prepared right at 10:00 a.m. The pedicurist was a different person. She was unable to accommodate my request for an exact color match to my shellac manicure. She helpfully found me a color that was very similar, which I appreciated. She did use the pumice stone rather roughly, and didn't seem to notice several times when I winced. Her hair was very long and several times fell into the oils, or lotion that she was applying. It was rather uncomfortable, especially when she didn't seem to notice. She did a decent job of the pedicure, and shaped my toenails appropriately, as I asked. I found it a bit strange that she got up and left me on several occasions in order to allow things to dry, lotions to settle into my pores, and attend to other matters, mostly which seem to be on her personal cell phone during work hours. Pretty pricey for the customer service that I received, almost $100 for both services. Note to customers, they only take tips in cash or check form. During this age of a pandemic, I'm surprised they accept cash tips due to money being an extremely dirty. I really appreciate the Sunday hours, but will probably try to request a specific technician that has high customer service skills for my next visit. read more

The non-5 stars is only for atmosphere - this is a small, busy salon. There is a lot of noise & it's just not a "luxurious" place. But I mean, it's clearly busy for a reason! So just use your own discretion about whether the 2-3 star experience itself is as important to you as the 5-star-looking nails. Everyone I've met at LUSH WERE VERY NICE..friendly and always smiling. But I always noticed they did not practice any sanitizing of any of their utensils used in the nail salon...I got acrylic nails and I never saw any of these utensils sanitized or soaking in anything. The towel they used to place my hands on was just occasionally taken off the counter and shaken out. Then put right back for the next customer. I overlooked all this because I'm too nice a person. ..I figured.."it will be fine..they're such nice people!"...well after quit a while...I began to get this strange hard skin around some of my nails..I went to a dermatologist and they said it was just some type of dermatitis. It would go away..Well after a long time it didn't go away. So I went to see my internal medical doctor...He said it's no big deal and fluffed it off. By then my acrylics were falling off..they ripped some of my natural nails to shreds...so I decided to give my hands a break. I finally went to another dermatologist because my hands looked awful and were very painful. She used a very strong magnified scope to look at each finger..apparently she was able to diagnose the problem...I had viral warts...growing on my skin around my nails!!! I was grateful to finally get a diagnosis. But shocked that I had this..she stated I must have caught something from the nail salon. Especially when I told her about the lack of sanitizing there. SHE asked me if I told the people at the salon about it..and I told her no...because I'm so....nice!! Well let me tell you the treatment for this is extremely painful..keeps me up at nite from the throbbing and pain. I had to get a medicine to put on my fingers at nite and wrap them with bandages...the medicine burns off the warts and kills all your skin that it comes in contact with..IF this process doesn't do the job. Then I have to have laser treatments which are even more painful to kill the blood vessels in my fingers that are feeding the warts... read more

However, the quality of the manicure is lacking. The nails look irregular and the guy who did my manicure cut me multiple times and laughed at me when I pulled my hand away or flinched. When he finally saw the blood, all he did was awkwardly put both hands on mine and put on a green liquid that stung. When I moved back to Cleveland I needed a nail salon that was great with acrylics and near my home in Shaker. After reading lots of positive reviews about Lush, I gave it a try. I wasn't dissatisfied the first few times I came in, overall it's pretty decent. They have a massive collection of gel and regular polish to choose from. The nail techs are all lovely. But here's what bugged me: - Want French tips? Only one nail tech in there knows how to do pink and white acrylics. That should be a standard skill by all nail techs who do acrylics. - Appointment: Your entire appointment is a half hour. ENTIRE APPOINTMENT. It's sort of like being on an assembly line, hardly any time is paid to work on the area surrounding your nail. I had to ask once if they could clean up my cuticles, and the request was treated as an inconvenience. - Broken Nails: I found my nails breaking more frequently, probably due to the fact that clients are only given a half hour, hardly enough time to make sure quality is consistent. And this last one just really gets to me. If I wanted a color from one of the more recent nail color corrections, or anything else done outside of slapping some color on, they told me to BUY MY OWN SUPPLIES and bring it in. But they claim to know how to do basic nail art? I was literally told, "we'll do those stripes for you but you have to go over to Sally Beauty and buy your own nail tape." DO NOT GET NAIL ART HERE! My friends and went here for gel manicures with nail art and each of us were very unhappy with our nails afterwards. (Some of us are even going to redo them at other salons later this week.) Each of our nail art looked very sloppy and unprofessional: uneven lines, designs that look nothing like the picture we showed, and lots of smudged polish due to not staying under the light long enough from being rushed out for the next appointment. Don't get me wrong, our nails otherwise were pretty good. However, if your staff is not trained in nail art please don't offer it as an option for every technician!! The worst part of this experience was the customer service resolution. We called to ask for a refund solely for the $12 nail art fee because each of us were so unhappy with it. Instead of giving us a refund, they hassled us and asked for pictures, then ensured us that our nails looked just fine and we should have said something while we were still there if we had any issues. The person on the phone also made comments that we were being rude and entitled based on our private conversations we were having while getting our nails done. Eventually, after multiple phone calls and pictures sent we were able to get STORE CREDIT for our nail art. If the customer service resolution were better I would not even be leaving a review right now, but that pushed me over the edge. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else! read more

That's how I ended up booking an appointment at Lush for a Spa Mani/Pedi. Upon entering I was taken to the polish wall to select my color and offered water and cookies. We started with my pedicure and then did my manicure. It was your average experience, nothing quite stood out as very good or very bad - everything was pretty solid and what you would expect from a nail salon. They do offer free wifi, but the password for it is displayed on one of the walls - you might miss it! The piece of paper is on the wall by the manicure stations and it's the only place I saw it written, so keep an eye out for it! read more

I am using a walker due to a back injury. The woman who led me back to the (crowded) pedicure area gave no thought to this fact. She led me through a maze of chairs and people, without looking back, leaving me to push things aside or ask people to move myself. She pointed me to a spa chair at the other end, and I was left to ask people to move so I capfuls get through. She didn't take me to the polishes, instead saying the technician could bring me some choices. That didn't happen. The spa chair was super uncomfortable on my back; I couldn't wait to get out of it. Not a relaxing or enjoyable experience in any way. I will not return. read more

I walked in for service and was immediately attended to. I loved how the atmosphere was light and everyone was friendly. The staff and clientele was very diverse as well as different age groups. My stylist was very professional and attentive she respected the fact that I wanted a silent service as this was my mommy time and just wanted to relax without forced conversation. I had a pretty good experience here! I got a gel manicure and a regular polish pedicure. The pedicure was really relaxing, well done, and sanitary. The manicure was a bit different. I noticed almost immediately when they were done, they were a bit clumpy looking? But I'm so inexperienced with gel I didn't know what to think. So the next day, as im getting dressed, one of the nails just completely lifts. I call and they say I can stop by whenever to fix it, so I go in no problem. I'm immediately seen by the tech who did my original set, and she notices the whole issue. She mentioned the polish she used was a bit old and very thick, and so it kinda messed everything up but she didn't realize it. She re did the entire set for no extra cost. She was so nice about it!! What a beautiful salon!! The owner Tom was incredibly friendly and did an excellent job on my very first dip nail. In a busy salon, the waits can be very long--we sat for maybe 5-10 minutes and then got manicures. One of my friends (we were a group of three) was waiting a little bit longer, and when I was ready for a pedicure, they moved her with me and did her manicure as she got her pedicure. They were efficient, very friendly, and the salon was very well run. The technicians were funny and made great conversation. We adored Helen and Sandy. Will definitely be back. Update 9/2: everything I said above is still true but I have to amend it a little, from 5 to 3 stars. I will likely still go to get a pedicure because they are fast and friendly, but will likely skip the SNS "dip" manicure. It's been about a week and a half and a few of the edges are peeling up, and the thumb nail even began to chip a couple of days ago. Still a good salon! read more

So, this place kinda sucks. Buckle up, because this is a longish review! I went in last August for a pedi/mani. I was getting married the next day, and wanted to pamper myself before the big day! I don't ever go and get my nails done, but thought it would be a nice touch to get a french manicure, as well as a pedicure package with a foot and leg massage for myself. I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment but didn't end up being escorted to the pedicure chair until 10 minutes after my scheduled time. No big deal though, I understand they have other clients and was entertaining myself with looking at all the possible nail polish colors anyway. I chose my toenail color (royal blue, to go with my wedding colors) and was escorted by an associate to the pedicure chair. The woman I got was older who ushered me into pedicure chair quickly. She was tending to another woman beside me, so she was double teaming us on our pedicures. She didn't talk and when she did it felt forced. I don't necessarily blame her, I guess. I did feel she was sort of stressed out. (the woman beside me was especially pleasant to talk to, at least!). The woman who did my pedicure did a particularly good job on my toenails, I tell you what! The foot and leg massage also was heaven. It's because of this I gave this place two stars instead of one. That being said, let's get to the horrible experience I had when she attempted my french manicure. After my pedi was complete, she rushed me over to the manicure station. It was at this point she was told that a regular of hers wanted to squeeze in a pedicure before the salon closed. She quickly sat me down and tried to rush through my manicure. Halfway through her doing my nails, she left to attend to her regular and never came back! I was just sort of awkwardly looking around for her, when another woman noticed I had been left alone with my nails half done a decided, with a sigh, to finish them for me. This new associate hastily finished my French Manicure and ushered me to the front to pay. They were about to close I found out. If I had realized so much time had passed when my original manicurist abandoned me, I would of spoken up earlier. As I was paying, the man cashing me out had told me to go hand my original nail stylist their tip. I really didn't want to at this point, but I'm not a dick so I rushed back to find her. I had two tens on me and as I was walking back to her to tip her $10 I finally found her and was about to hand her the money when my other $10 fell out. I picked it up, held the first ten out to her and she goes ahead and takes both. I mean, really? I was obviously giving you just $10 for your mediocre service. I would of said something but I was so upset about this place and this woman that I just wanted to get out of there. About an hour after I left, my manicure was already starting to chip off. At this point, with the combination of the awful service I received, getting married in less than 24 hours, and my manicure looking like chipped garbage, I just burst into tears. If you haven't guess I will not be back. Perhaps you should not pile so much on your nail technicians to stress them out so much that they forget about their clients and give them a botched manicure.
