A seemingly well organized practice - there was a bit of a wait in between but otherwise great. The doctor and nurses were super helpful, answered all my questions and moved me through my visit in a very organized way. A week later and I still haven't gotten any results. This is unusual - other places I've been too have been very good at updating results as they come but it's been crickets so far. Especially for a place that has a lab on site. read more

A very bad experience. Please be sure to read all the reviews here on yelp including those raising concerns about billing and to read all the recent reviews on Google. Many patients have now raised concerns about this practice and its billing practices. I showed up for routine care and am being slammed with charges still 6 months later where pure has coded the care as non-routine, without ever indicating to me I was receiving anything beyond routine care which was the reason I came to the practice. They have not responded adequately to requests to clarify specific reasons for specific bills or to speak to management. I am yet to be provided an adequate reason why I received anything beyond routine care. Seems silly to select any star at all but following yelp process here. I went to Dr Goncharov in Brooklyn in Oct 2019. I was just a few weeks pregnant. After a couple of ultrasounds, Dr Goncharov informed me that I was having a miscarriage. He read me my options in terms of terminating the pregnancy, even the option of aborting that day and we said we'd consider the options but needed time to think. Decided to do one "last" ultrasound and as it turned out a week later it a viable pregnancy. My son is 18 months and to imagine our lives without him is heart wrenching. Do not go here. Absolutely rude front desk staff, inconsiderate all around. I had an appointment to see Amber here on a friends recommendation. I came all the way from Manhattan on a Sunday to for this appointment. The 4 train just skipped the necessary stop I was to get off, making me late for my appointment. I immediately called an Uber and called the front desk to alert them I would be late. I arrive to terribly rude front desk saying the practitioner won't see me. Their explanation was that she was fully booked and had two people ahead of me, meaning I would have been waiting on the doctor regardless...Even though I called and told them and arrived 5 minutes after their 15-minute window. This was my first visit to see Dr. Marieme Mbaye and I the visit exceeded my expectations. Dr. Mbaye was very professional with great bedside manner. I really appreciated her taking the time to thoroughly answer all my questions and make sure I clearly understood her answers. The office is beautiful! BEWARE: Shady financial practices. While I regret to give such a wonderful practice a one-star review - I'm in the same boat as the dozens of other women being unfairly chased for money for services "rendered" years ago. I received TWO calls, one on October 11th and one on October 15th, both saying they are sending me to collections for three bills from 2018/2019/early 2020 - none of which I was aware existed. I have put "rendered" in quotes because these are very clearly services either scam billing codes, services I did not consent to, or was led to believe were required services. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone with the billing department - a woman I know is just doing her job - but she speaks in circles, condescending you rather than clearly explaining the actual charge (probably because she cannot justify it). She also contradicts everything my health insurance agent explained to me and is unmoving in negotiating this $800 bill down. I have rejected this bill at the advisement of my health insurance and I'm having my health insurance duke it out with them. When your health insurance ADVISES you to reject a bill, you know it's bad. Honestly, how can you sleep at night chasing women for $800 for shady reasons years later, coming out of a pandemic? Staff is kind and knowledgeable. Doctors are thorough and compassionate. Yoo and Masson are my go to -- will always take the time to make sure you're comfortable and have a good understanding of what your needs and options are. Never have to wait long to be seen, even when I get there early. As someone who has always had my medical concerns dismissed "we can talk about this when you've lost 20lbs" it's great knowing I can get care without anxiety or fat shaming. UPDATE (response to manager's comment on my original review): The woman from Pure OBGYN who responded was not there for my conversation with the doctor, and what she said below is totally false. No diagnosis was actually made so no treatment was needed. I asked the doctor about my cycle, she said nothing was wrong and everything looked normal. It was a routine annual exam, plain and simple. It seems if you ask ANY questions at all at this clinic you will be charged. What is the point of annual checkups if you cannot ask your doctor questions about your health? Is that not part of preventative care which is covered by insurance? SMH. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Unhappy with billing department, too much red tape! I only went once for a routine annual checkup and to consider whether I would plan to go with Dr. Becker for the birth of my first baby. Because I simply expressed my concern for my 26-day cycle (there was no actual problem with it), the front desk woman added a code which meant my routine annual turned into a medical visit so I was charged a copay. They were unable to reverse the code and threatened to send a collection agency after me. I paid them just to get them off my back. I decided not to use them to deliver my baby so I can avoid future red tape which I anticipated would be much more complicated with labor/delivery. read more

After the below response from the owner, and only just this month, PureOBGYN is trying to collect an over $300 bill from me that I already paid a full year ago! This was for services (some of which I did not consent to nor want) completed over a year ago. I was lucky that the receipt for my payment was still buried in my email. After I called my health insurance, they also said their billing department tried to bill not only for my appointment, but for separate "counseling services" which they dropped after the insurance said that was not a valid claim. Truly, stay away from this place, and keep ALL of your receipts forever, since apparently more than a year later they will hound you for money you already gave them. read more

Came here for a new obgyn and I was not let down. There was a bit of a wait, but as someone in the medical field, I understand that stuff happens and everyone is only human. While I waited for my doctor to review my results with me, the medical assistant was able to just pop in to let me know that they had not forgot about me and the doctor was just dealing with something. I only saw female staff which were all super friendly. The aesthetic of the whole facility felt very feminine. The facility was clean. The Kids are finally back in school and I can finally find the time to book doctors' appointments for myself. I have been searching for a new OBGYN after my last doctor (He was an awesome doctor!) moved his practice even further away. This office was walking distance from my children's school and I booked this appointment painlessly through Zocdoc. The receptionist who checked me in was nice and soft spoken. I couldn't hear her too well and told her so there was no judgment or attitude. My appointment was with Dr. Diana Ho. Very nice, professional. we did the usual exams and she helped remove my contraceptive implant and she did a fantastic job of not judging me for panicking throughout the quick and painless process. The nurse who took my blood was amazingly sweet. All in all a very pleasant first time visit. read more

What a wonderful team - from my very first call with Traemani who was super patient, friendly, professional and kind to my first visit with Elizabeth Sullivan, I've been wowed by the level of service. I FINALLY felt heard. Elizabeth took the time (beyond the closing of the office nonetheless) to speak with me and my husband in great detail about fertility issues/questions that we had. On a second visit, I was met with the same level of care and compassion from Dr. Nina Yoo who was detailed, had incredible bedside manor and was incredibly patient. I must add that I had an uncomfortable routine procedure and that she made me feel so comfortable throughout with her warm presence. The entire team is fabulous. The office is pristine. The good energy is palpable as soon as you enter. Want to also note that I needed records sent over to take to a specialist and Sabrina was SUPER friendly and helpful in getting me what I needed within 10 minutes of my ask. I started attending this practice during my pregnancy and I have no regrets. The receptionists at both locations (St. John's and W. 20th St.) are very kind and have such positive energy. They are also very professional and always willing to answer questions. They would respond to my inquiries in a timely manner and even follow up to check if the matter was taken care of! The offices at both locations I visited (St. John's and W. 20th St.) are very clean and COVID-19 protocols are enforced. I visited several doctors (highly recommend if you're expecting since you never know who's on call on the day of your delivery). Each doctor I saw at the practice (Dr. Guerra, Dr. Yoo, Dr. Masson, Dr. Mbaye, and finally the doctor who delivered my babygirl -Dr. Woodbury) had AMAZING bedside manner. My questions/concerns were always answered without any judgement. Dr. Woodbury was my cheerleader during my delivery and she made sure to coach me and help me remain calm throughout the delivery. The ultrasound technicians were also very informative and always in good spirits. Amazing practice and definitely would recommend to anyone looking for an OBGYN! read more

*Updated review* Do not go here. I've been a patient of theirs for over 2 years now. Things were going fine up until I got pregnant back in January. Scheduling and billing with them has been an absolute nightmare. Their office staff does not care at all about you and they mess up frequently without apologizing. I spent the day I was supposed to get induced with my first child playing phone tag with them and the hospital because they scheduled me for a different time than they originally said and the hospital was confused. They also surprised me with a doctor I had never met before while I was at the hospital ready to deliver my first child. In months leading up to the delivery, they acted as though they cared about which doctors I saw to make sure I met every doctor before delivering, but on the day of, they gave me a brand new doctor without any notice at all. Their lack of communication and lack of clarity has been incredibly frustrating, especially while pregnant, and I do not plan on coming back here. If I were you, I would find a new practice. It will save you a lot of time and frustration. read more

Dr. Mina Yoo decided to add an extra office visit to the same day. I did not go to the OBGYN twice in one day. I had a routine check up- nothing special. I have spoken w their billing dept numerous time to amend this and they are so greedy they will not change the bill. Totally criminal. read more
