I started off at the Northside Pure location when I lived closer, and wasn't crazy about the ortho there. He was too rough with my 50-something year old teeth, and I was seriously concerned he would loosen a crown I'd had over a root canal. I chose regular braces over Invisalign because the amount of coffee and noshing that I do wouldn't have made it feasible. When I moved to the west side, I was lucky enough to begin coming to this clinic instead, and have been SO happy I did! Dr. P is hilarious. Should have been an actor. A complete character, but also very caring and professional. Not long into my treatment, I received a cancer diagnosis, and asked to speak to him privately about my care, because I was terrified and had no idea how to proceed. He took the time to tell me everything would be fine-- they could treat me in a private room, and they'd take every safety precaution they could. Fast forward a few months, I'm cancer free, and am nearing the end of the treatment (I know he's getting tired of me asking when these things can come off. LOL). He really has taken the trouble to get to know me, and I can't WAIT to see what my new smile looks like...hopefully around February. read more

I just wanna say after spending $10,000 on getting my braces and signing up for two retainer molds, however only receiving one they had given me a temporary retainer until my scanned retainer got back to me when I had lost my retainer. They told me that the quick mould in store counts as the other full retainer. Eight years ago I took my 7-year old son to Pure Orthodontics. He started with Phase 1 there to treat his under-bite. When I signed the contract, I saw there was a Phase 2, which I inquired about. I was told "Don't worry about that!" My son got braces which he wore for a few years before they were removed. At that time I noticed that he did not have room for the right upper canine, so I returned to Pure Orthodontics and notified them about this, since no one there was ever discussing this issue. That same day I was informed that "we have to move to phase 2" which they told me before "don`t worry about it". Obviously, this cost me another few thousands! My son went back to wearing braces and is turning 15. Pure Orthodontics wanted to remove them in the spring, and I refused since his teeth were still misaligned after Pure Orthodontics attempted to "create room for the canine". Meanwhile, my husband got invisaligns with Pure Orthodontics. Once they finished his treatment, his teeth started slowly moving back, although he has been wearing the retainers at night as instructed. Then on July 20th, 2023 I took my younger son (12-year old) to Pure Orthodontics (West). I was informed that he needed braces "AS SOON AS POSSIBLE" and if we don't start "IMMEDIATELY" he would need surgery to open his gum and get some adult teeth pulled out. The financial advisor (Pure Orthodontics West) created a sense of urgency, almost made me panic. While I was working with her on signing the required papers, she kept mixing up my husband's name (Marian) with my older son's name (Andrei) on my younger son's contract (Alexandru). I had to correct her a few times and ask her why my older son's name (Andrei) would appear on my younger son's (Alexandru) contract. I was afraid that she would attempt to access Andrei's benefit again since he was still their client, too. Then, I requested a discount for family member since Alexandru would be the 3rd one coming there. This financial advisor said that she would give me $100. and asked me: "why do you care, you have enough money in your account and if I give you $100, it will go to the insurance." I left her office thinking that bringing my kid there for orthodontics would be a huge mistake since I felt like this financial advisor tried to scam me by creating a sense of urgency, denying to offer the family discount and than trying to get everything I had in my account. I must say that Pure Orthodontics LOST MY TRUST that day. So I decided to see another orthodontist and this is what I did. The new orthodontist my son saw asked me to take him to our dentist first, and have 3 baby teeth pulled out, work on his oral hygiene and return to his practice in about 5 weeks. They did not rush into asking me to sign papers, or creating a sense of urgency as the financial advisor I saw at Pure Orthodontics. When I booked the appointment with this orthodontist, I called Pure Orthodontics in August, informed that my son Andrei would never return there, cancel everything including the next appointment (in October) and close his file. We went to see the other orthodontist and I thought he would start my son's treatment with braces. Instead, he checked my son's oral hygiene and discussed again the available options (clear braces, metal braces and invisaligns), and asked us to book another appointment in December. That was the time when I was asked to sign the papers for the treatment which by the way was only $7900 (instead of $8999 at Pure Orthodontics). That same day I found out that Pure Orthodontics already charged my insurance $600. Later, I received an email from their financial manager asking about my son's cancelled appointment. I informed her that Pure Orthodontics was notified that Alexandru won't return there and he started being seen by another clinic. Next I was informed that I own Pure Orthodontics $2000 because I missed cancelling the contract with them within 10 days after signing it on July 20. They pretended that they scanned my child's teeth and ordered braces at that time. After having Alexandru consulted by another clinic, I wonder how the staff at Pure Orthodontics scanned my child's teeth and ordered braces before sending him first to our dentist to get his 3 baby teeth pulled out as the orthodontist at the second clinic did? Also, my next appointment with Pure Orthodontics was in Oct and they were notified about my son not returning there in August, so he did not start the treatment there at that time. Since I missed cancelling my son's contract with Pure Orthodontics within the first 10 days, I have to pay $2000 now for the lab fee associated with the orthodontic appliances made for my son. I requested them to give me these appliances and we`ll see what they say! Overall, the lack of professionalism displayed by the staff of Pure Orthodontics made me walk away and loose $2000 now after bringing a 3rd family there for orthodontic treatment. read more

The worst experience ever, I was waiting my clear tooth brace for over 4 months, the big mistake I did was I paid 100%. Sorry to say this they are not professional worst customer handling. Please if you go there don't ever pay 100 % to them , they will ignore you. 1. Bad customer follow up 2. They don't respond emails and messages 3. They gives you wrong information to the customer (unprofessional).Finally I received my payment 100% from them after 4 months without their service. Pure works so hard to recruit new patients but it definitely doesn't take care of the ones they have. I used to think it was ok but it's hard to make appts and when something happens you can't get in quickly because they say they're already 'fully committed'. (Example brackets breaking, wires poking which is painful.) The staff is nice when you get there but you'd think they'd take care of the current patients. It's constant with them, trying to recruit new patients. Best way to get business is to take good care of the current patients. read more

I've nothing but awesome customer/client service. Whether I'm at the west end location (my preferred office) or at the other locations, the staff is super friendly. Any time I've had an issue with a pokey wire, they've done their best to get me in as soon as they could! At every visit they ask how things are going and they listen when I've had a particularly rough go. Let's face it, wearing braces is never FUN. Haha. My most recent visit (today) I told the orthodontist that I'm ready to get them off, as it's been almost 2 years and he's doing everything he can to get them off before Christmas. My fiancee's had Invisalign done here and we had a very poor experience with the west and east Edmonton locations. The front staff is unprofessional and rude. They ignore you when you come in, have loud hip hop playing, while they chat away. The orthodontist rushes his work. He cut a chunk of my girlfriends lip when he was ramming one of the aligners in. Then rushed away. They mislead you on what's included with your invisalign. They claim to have whitening and provide a retainer. The retainer is not a glued in permanently installed retainer. It's actually just another permanent aligner you have to wear.... for ever.... and take out to clean, to eat, etc. The included whitening is just a tube of whitening paste to put in this retainer. They waste your time too. Had to wait 6 weeks at the end of her aligners to get an appointment for them to see her for 5 minutes and then rebook, for them to do it again, because they don't have time to make her retainer... Just do yourself a favour and take your orthodontic work elsewhere. read more

A really great customer experience. The staff and doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable. The office is new, modern and extremely clean. There is ample parking and it's close to major bus routes. My daughter received Invisalign treatment and the price was very competitive compared to other orthodontist quotes we had received. Our initial appointment was very informative and they explained all the treatment options and associated costs. There was even a discount for paying outright as well as various payment plans offered. I love how they have an affordable payment plan for me, however, their book keeping is awful. I don't have a lot of money, and I have had my money messed up many times which results in me getting pulled aside and told I owe this much money that day for their mess up. I usually talk to them and work it out at some point after being ready to cry. Then when I refer someone, it took me over six months to get the referral bonus. They know what they're doing, and their service is great, but they have created lots of financial stress for me. Even when I go to pay one portion back all at once, they messed that up and asked for the owing balance all at once the next appointment. Absolutely terrible. I go there for my braces, and without fail every single time they do something wrong. I went there yesterday, and the girl assisting forgot to reattach one of the brackets to my teeth. I noticed in the car on the way back, and when we went back, she refused to own up to her mistake and was entirely unprofessional. That appointment was SUPPOSED to be to take my braces off, just like the past THREE have been, but every time they seem to find another reason that I have to leave them on. Horrible experience!! Went to Pure Ortho in December for invisiline, was told they would take 4 weeks to come in. I was booked for Feb 1 to pick them up at 9 am. I received a call at 8:45 am to let me know the invisiline did not come in. I asked why I didn't get a call the day before, She said "oh we don't look at the next day appointments" I let her know I took the morning off ...without pay and she just giggled. So I re booked for March 9th, I called March 1st to reschedule my appointment and was told it would be another 4 weeks!! I asked for my a refund and was told they could get them in the next week, When I said ok if you can guarantee they will be in I will wait. Nope can't guarantee. ok I want my money back! After I cancelled my Invisiline, they still took out 2 payments!! Its obvious My invisiline was not ordered. They are so busy they do not care about their clients. I know of a few people that have gone to Pure and are not happy at all!! They are Nice the first visit, until they get your money. Do your homework and look around. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. All this business cares about is making money. Have to get orthodontic treatment redone because of the extremely poor knowledge of this orthodontist (who you only see once in a blue moon). Staff is very snobby. Just don't waste your time. read more
