She did not have a lot of money to spend but needed some major repair work to pass inspection. We were quoted a couple of thousand dollars at other chain places to have the work done, and most just wanted to sell us an extended warranty. Deer Lake Subaru quoted a price almost $1,500 less than the next cheapest price. In addition the folks were completely amazing. They were super friendly and had the work competed and the car back days ahead of schedule. Very happy with the entire experience. We later returned and purchased our own Subaru Forester and had an amazing experience as well and the car has been great. I drove more than two hours to pick it up, but shortly after getting on the highway, multiple error and malfunction warnings appeared. I immediately brought the vehicle back. When I asked about having the car taken to a mechanic closer to my home, I was told that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. However, I had just driven it for nearly an hour on the highway after being told it was ready for pickup. This situation is extremely frustrating and raises serious concerns about the quality of the repairs and the communication regarding the vehicle's condition. They offered to deliver the vehicle for my inconvenience. No mention of a fee, then when it was ready wanted to charge me $300 dollars in gas.

Yes I could've gone to any number of other window tint technicians in NYC but I wanted to take a road trip. It took about 90 minutes from start to finish. He reminded me not to roll down my windows for a few days.
