TORONTO HIGHLIGHT: THERMËA SPA VILLAGE ‍…read more Thermëa Spa Village was definitely one of my personal Toronto highlights! ‍ This was the perfect place to slow down, disconnect, and just enjoy the moment with my girl during my birthday trip. And listen... THE COLD PLUNGE! I'm not even going to lie, that water was COLD cold! But the experience was actually so refreshing. Going from the heat of the thermal baths and saunas straight into that freezing water was an experience all by itself! One of my favorite areas had to be the sauna meditation room. ‍ It was so peaceful and calming. Being able to sit quietly, breathe, relax, and let your mind just slow down was exactly the kind of reset I didn't know I needed. The whole spa was beautiful, peaceful, and luxurious, but what I loved most was that it wasn't just about being pampered--it really felt like an experience for your mind, body, and soul. The food was so refreshing and tasty. Between the cold plunge, the saunas, the meditation spaces, the thermal baths, and simply enjoying the day together, Thermëa was absolutely worth adding to our Toronto itinerary. 10/10 experience. Would absolutely go back! ‍ Relaxation: ELITE Cold Plunge: WHEW! ‍ Meditation Room: PEACEFUL Birthday Memories: PRICELESS

My partner and I have been wanting to come here for a while. We were super excited, and for the most part we had an excellent time. The facilities are well maintained. The activities and rituals are very nice. The unlimited towel and robe exchange is a very nice perk. The relaxation areas are very comfortable and well maintained. The restaurant service is excellent, the decor is lovely, and the food was tasty. We spent seven hours at the spa and tried every single offering. While yes, it can get busier at the midpoint of the day, the evenings are very quiet and you can enjoy many of the pools, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and cold plunges with little to no other people. We thought the staff were friendly and approachable, and the therapists very professional. We got the Kalla upgrade and it was very cool, a great experience with very thoughtful decor and an extremely interesting experience. This is actually what we came for, the saltwater float pool. It didn't disappoint and was definitely relaxing we spent almost an hour in the float and no regrets. The lockers and change area, while busy, are easy to navigate, and the showers were extremely clean. All in all, we had an excellent time, and this is a great day spa that really offers some peaceful, tranquil, and relaxing spaces. It's a very thoughtful and enjoyable spa. I would absolutely come again. My issue is what happened after. When I got home, I noticed my lower back was quite inflamed and hot. I didn't think much of it and figured it was my body detoxing and flushing out the not-so-good stuff. I had a mild fever, but again, with all the hot and cold transitions, that's normal. When I woke up the next morning, my lower back was itchy and red, some pimple-like nodes had shown up, and when I accidentally touched one, a bunch of greenish pus came out. It's since been inflamed, itchy, and sore to the touch. I have tried contacting the spa three times, and each time I'm told there is an hour-long wait to speak to someone. I just need to know what may have caused this. Since this is the spa I went to, I imagine they may have some idea of what this could be. I'm going to the walk-in clinic today, because I have never experienced this before. I go to a lot of spas, resorts, and hotels, and I'm a big pool and spa enthusiast. I have never had this happen. I don't care for how hard it's been to connect with someone, and that there isn't any information provided on any of this chain's sites that even addresses this. I went online and found out that this has happened before and does happen because of the Kalla. Again, that's not the issue - I'm not stupid and I know things happen at such busy spas. The issue is I can't find a single way to contact the spa and actually reach a human I can talk to about what this is and what I should do, I have called three times and it's an hour plus wait to speak to someone. That really isn't a great way to cap off such a good experience. I would say that if you have sensitive skin or concerns, you should ask the staff before or during your visit, so that if something does happen, you know what to do. These are communal baths and spas, and I think it would be helpful to have more "health and safety" information available on both their website and at the spa. I think finding out secondhand, from a variety of news articles, that you can get a staph infection from the Kalla is not very comforting. I'd have really appreciated more transparency and clear communication.

Came here with my husband for a couples massage expecting nothing much and was surprised at how nice it was, the owner greeted us and informed us on everything they have at their spa. I really enjoyed myself and look forward to coming back their soon :-) I would definitely recommend for a couples treat or a girls day!

Although the front desk service is still top notch, this place has high turnover and quality has gone down. In the past year I have gone through 3 stylists, because they keep leaving! I need stability people. Someone who understand my hair and what I like, so I can enjoy my trip to the salon. In the past year I have returned home with a terrible hair cut because none of the 3 hair stylists understood my hair. They didn't have the time to! If you can get a stylist who will stick by you for a few years, then I'm sure Aquilibrium will be a great place to go. However, based on my recent experiences they have turned away a loyal customer. The hunt for a new stylist begins!

The front desk is friendly, professional and is exactly what I would expect from my own establishment so kudos for that. Unfortunately, I will not return to this place because the girl who cut my hair ruined it. I should have known going with a junior stylist wasn't smart - you always get what you pay for. Additionally, she was cold and didn't say a word to me. Even when I tried to engage her in conversation she was very short. It was like trying to squeeze water from a rock. The salon is generic and like every other salon out there. I did not like the atmosphere at all. It could of just been me but the people there felt very "bougie bougie"
