The first time I did my eyebrow waxing which they did such a bad job, lots of small hair are left when I checked mirror at home. I gave them another chance. I had my underarm and eyebrow waxing done a week ago. For some reason, their room was so dark that u can't tell what they have done. When I got home, my underarms and eye brows were red. 3 days later, it turned out that there is a big round hyper pigmentation on my underarms. They asked me to come to store to clarify what I wrote in Yelp. They said the reason why I got hyper pigmentation is due to allergy reaction to either wax or something else. They gave me refund. It seems like before we go to any salon, we have do test on their wax ingredient to see if we have allergic reaction or not as if we have a lot of time. I came here on a recommendation from a friend to get a little lip filler. The office itself is very nice; nice decor, very modern and relaxing. The relaxation room is really nice as well. Jen took me into one of the patient rooms and gave me a lot of information about my appointment which was nice because I was a little nervous. While I had a good amount of swelling and bruising for the first couple of days (which Jen warned me about), I am overall very happy with my results! The price is steep but very competitive. Spa is incredibly clean and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. I've been going to Michelle Evans for microdermabrasion and peels for my hormonal acne. Michelle is incredibly knowledgable and flexible! I live over an hour away and she's great at keeping me in mind for when weekend spots open up. She has really helped me with my skin and has given me great advice to follow at home to keep my breakouts at minimum. She also understands the underlying factors of hormonal acne and pairs her work in the spa with diet and lifestyle advice that can keep the breakouts away. I really appreciate her explaining everything she does throughout the process and really understanding me as a person not wanting to resort to strong drugs (accutane) in order to be acne free. She takes the time to really listen and offer advice and as a client that is all I ask for. Would highly recommend her if you are considering scheduling an appointment! I went in for a consultation/signed a consent for Sculptra, and these people injected me with Radiesse knowing it lasted a shorter period of time without my consent. Then when I emailed Lynley (the receptionist) no response (and this lady has emailed back within 20 minutes every other time) However, when I Checked myTouchMD, images were deleted. Then when I emailed her that I have all my documentation, the images magically reappeared. These people are thieves, unprofessional and are dangerous. You can't just inject someone with whatever you want to make more money. Then I contact the owner and her focus was How she tried to contact me. I went to Pure Skin for a facial. I really loved the atmosphere when I walked in. The relaxation room was beautiful and the chairs so comfortable I could have fallen asleep. Very peaceful. The staff was very nice and helpful. Angel was the one who gave me the facial. I got the oxygen treatment and microdermabrasion. She was very knowledgeable and explained what she was doing and how the products she was using were working. She also gave me great advice about what sunscreen I should be using...this I think about every day-very important. My skin looked great when I was done. I went to a party right after and I was told by my very nice friends that I was glowing! Now that's a great testimonial :) My overall experience was wonderful and I will go back again. The staff are really nice, although everything that the receptionist says is extremely rehearsed and scripted which turns me off. Also they constantly try to up-sell everything. I have been going for months for laser hair removal to my bikini area and I'm not exaggerating when I say there has been almost no change...after my FIFTH session! I am very fair skinned with thin hair, and at my consultation the woman I spoke with assured me that I would be completely hair-free there after 6 sessions at the most (based on my skin and hair). When I went for my fifth time and spoke with someone different however, I was told I would need at least 4 more sessions (9 total) and even then the hair loss wouldn't ever be permanent, the hair would just be thinner. Needless to say I am extremely upset and frustrated with this place! I've paid for 6 sessions in advance (a mistake, clearly), and I will not be returning for laser hair removal after that. Unfortunately, Pure Skin treatments are not effective. I am wondering if the products they use are diluted. I went back twice and their botox treatment made my face distorted. I went to a place in Cheshire - Beau Visage Medical Spa and Dr. Ferneini and the esthetician Connie are FANTASTIC!! They corrected Pure Skin's mess, my skin looks great, and the prices are much more reasonable. Do not buy into becoming a member...that is how they make their money. I have been going to Pure Skin for about a year. I have tried different services and settled on monthly microdermabrasion treatments. It has made such a difference in my skin to the point that I don't feel the need for Botox or fillers. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. And while they offer different services and products, I have never felt pressured to purchase anything that I was not interested in.....unlike other places I have tried. They offer a 10% membership discount on products and services which is well worth it if you do monthly treatments like I am doing. Give them a try! read more

I would not recommend using Pure Skin for laser hair removal. I have taken my daughter there for 5 treatments and have noticed barely any hair loss. We have discussed this with the staff when making appointments as well as at the time of treatment and basically been told that everyone reacts differently and we may need to buy more treatments. While I understand that treatment results vary, I would think that there would be a more noticeable improvement (or any improvement). Two stars only for how nice/clean it is. I have a medspa that I'm loyal to and love, BUT Pure Skin's monthly membership for fillers/botox is what intrigued me. The office is new and nicely decorated. As a first-time client, they send someone from their staff in to speak with you about your needs. While this is nice, it's not something I cared for especially since they tried selling me too hard on the VI peel. Back to the memberships - they seem like a great idea and a decent deal - it's not, so don't be fooled! What you don't realize is that you make a large down payment during the time of service and then begin paying the monthly fee. The more questions I asked about it, the more confusing the answers became. They also do not have an MD on staff. Two of the three areas of injections I had, did not make any difference (i.e. it was not placed properly and/or not enough was injected). They boast about their lip injections on Instagram and I personally cringe at the sight. Years ago it was more common to see fish lips with filler, but we've come a long way with technique to prevent that look. Unfortunately, the staff is young and they appear to lack the experience and knowledge. Needless to say I cancelled the membership as soon as I was allowed to. My experience with Pure Skin started several years ago with a groupon. I have some unwanted facial hair and I thought I would give the laser hair removal a try. After some disappointing results after more than 9 sessions, I had pretty much given up on it. I know that I am in the "peri-menoupause" part of my life and I just figured that it was impacting the ability for the laser to do it's job properly. Just this week, Jennifer reached out to me to offer me 3 additional sessions and no cost to me. She also communicated with me as far as what I should be experiencing and when. I have never had an owner reach out to me directly to offer me a solution this way. To say I was impressed is an understatement. Technology is great, but it will fail at times and these treatments are very much based on the individual. The fact that she is willing to work with me one-on-one to achieve my desired results is amazing! She completely turned around what could have been a bad experience. Love this place!!! The girls are always welcoming and they ALWAYS fit me in to be seen! Jen is amazing and very honest, can't say enough good things about her. I've read some reviews about getting laser hair removal and my experience there was a little different. I was looking to get it done on my face and Jen was very upfront with me. She told me because my hair was so light and thin I was looking at probably a minimum of 12 sessions, and it wasn't guaranteed to completely remove it after that. It's definitely not what I wanted to hear but it was so refreshing to not have someone sell me on a service just to make some money, cause let's be honest, it's not cheap, and instead was being completely honest with me. With that being said...I can't wait for my next appointment!!!
