I booked & Lisa called me to change my appointment 3 days before my appointment. At the time I didn't answer so she proceeded to change my appointment without my consent (I received a text stating my appointment changed). I immediately called her and she tried to see if I could come in 2 other days that did not work with my schedule. I asked for my deposit back since the dates were not working and she said fine we'll give you your deposit back with an attitude. I texted to see when I can expect my deposit. Someone said I need to work directly with Lisa since that's what she promised and of course now that I've been calling her she's ignoring my calls and sending me to voicemail. How professional. Why even promise me a refund of my deposit if you had no plans of giving it back?! Why not be a woman of your word?! Sad smh.

I've been to multiple locations and their Southington location is just as great!! The ladies here are so friendly and all the estheticians are knowledgeable and don't try to upsell you on anything. The waiting area is comfortable and their bathrooms are fully equipped with everything you need to remove your makeup if you stop by for a facial after work. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, I have had to go for a touch up each time, I think 2 touch ups once. The only time I didn't go back (and needed it) was last year, but could not come due to being away in FL for a month. I've been going there for a few years now, but will not be going back. This last visit, both hubs and I both needed a touch up again.. (we usually go together; he has always needed a touch up as well). While at the touch up and because I was already there, I asked for my bunny lines (nose scrunch lines) to get injected. The touch up was free, but obvi I would pay for the new units to nose. I then realized I was charged a $20 provider fee plus my $60 for units. I called the next day and inquired about the provider fee. We have never been charged for touch ups. I was told that because the injector (super nice) had to "inject a new area" I was charged. Mind you... she was already injecting me, and already had product ready. There was absolutely no difference besides me paying for even more units (which I asked for)... it's not like I made a new appt for a new service.. I was there because the initial service was insufficient. I didn't want to go back out and take time out of my family's day to do this on purpose, but my forehead looked a bit wild and needed to have it fixed, crows still scrunching too much... I cancelled my membership that day. Insult to injury, the $$ I spent on my bunny lines was a waste as well, as the injection made zero difference lol... friends, be aware of fancy plazas and how product is reconstituted... rents are high and spas will get their $$ any way they can... unfortunately will never go back

Her prices were very reasonable compared to other med spas so she decided to give this one a try. Michelle highly recommended micro-dermabrasion as a treatment for this, and my mother has been going for this treatment about once ever 3 weeks since then - as well as some sort of a radio frequency treatment (can't recall the exact name). Since she has been going, her acne scars and large pores have been significantly reduced, and skin elasticity greatly increased. Michelle is a nurse aesthetician who is very knowledgeable about the treatments and products she uses. She is very good at explaining how they work and what they accomplish. She's also not one to BS you into buying a treatment you don't need. I have only visited Secret Beauty a couple of times myself, but I would like to add that not only is she a super genuine person, she's also a complete bad-ass. If you visit (which I hope you do!) make sure to ask her to tell you about the time she chased down some kid trying to steal her car.

I called, I texted, I left a voice message stating I expected a CALL BACK that day. I received a text message six and a half hours after my appointment stating there was an emergency and they're sorry they missed my appointment. I'm not sure why they felt a text message would be an appropriate alternative to a phone call. So unprofessional. The next day I received a call stating the same thing, there was an emergency. I have multiple issues with this. Everyone has emergencies, I get it. But, I was not given the courtesy of a phone call, then the excuse of not having my information to get in touch sooner was used. What kind of business keeps all its contact information and scheduling on one phone that could be misplaced or with someone who has an emergency? Also, what kind of a business doesn't actually verbally call someone after not showing up, and then just texts them over 6 hours later? What a waste of my time. I purchased a groupon for this "business" and I called groupon to be refunded. When I called, they reported that the seller (secret beauty) had CANCELLED my Groupon already with no explanation. I don't know what kind of trickery is going on here, but this business IS A SCAM. DO NOT GO HERE. One last thing if you're still on the fence, sort these Yelp reviews by newest date.
