Just finished my dental appointment today and I'm very pleased with the staff, the dentist and the service. They were very friendly, knowledgeable and patient centric. My hygenist was focused on care and comfort and did her best to answer all my questions. Needless to say it wasn't my first rodeo so I made her job very easy. The front desk staff is very efficient and does the best they can to run insurance and get back to you with information quickly. I made my next appointment before leaving so that means im going back. They also don't try to upsell a million things and see you more of a person than just a source of income.

I had my first visit with Pure Smiles today for a comprehensive oral exam. It was amazing. Pam was my dental hygienist and her service was extraordinaire. She has one of the most pleasantly calm voices I've ever heard. She was very detailed and thorough. She explained everything she did and why. I have high anxiety when it comes to dental visits. Inside my exam room I sat in front of a window with a bird feeder right outside! I watched beautiful birds and squirrels during my exam! There was also a tv on the wall that played various clips of animals being silly! Lol Really helped- a lot! Dr. Patel (the dentist) who will be performing my wisdom tooth extraction was pleasant and personable as well. Overall experience - A+ Very warm and inviting staff. Extremely pleased with this office and my experience today.

He's had a cavity done, two check ups/ X-rays, cleanings, five teeth pulled total (eek! A filling gone wrong from another dentist office, and four baby teeth overcrowding that didn't want to fall out lol), and molar sealants done. All successful! They have been excellent w ever experience. My son is not scared to go there- amazing!! We've seen i think three different dentists, male and females, and all were so friendly and kind. They made my son feel very comfortable. The assistants and hygienists are also so nice and do a great job. They do a great job of explaining things, calmly, and sweetly to my son, during procedures, making him feel at ease. He LOVES the TVs playing kids movies, on the wall, and above him in the chairs. He also is obsessed w the video games section in the front waiting room lol. He likes the "Hills 2 track" game a lot. The place is decorated very kid-like w great murals all over. They give the kids prizes after, and goodie bags, which is fun. My son has an allergy to food coloring, and they're great about that- going above and beyond to get different things without food dyes for numbing gels, teeth cleaning, etc. We also don't use fluoride and they're respectful of my choice, which I appreciate. They are prompt and efficient. Get us in right at our appointment time, most of the time, get things done quickly but well. In at 8am, two teeth pulled and two sealants done, out by 8:45. Wow! The front desk is very nice and knowledgeable. They worked with me when I was self-pay in cash - and have a same day cash discount. Now I have insurance again, and they work well w that also. We started there in 2021, I believe, and although they preferred mask wearing, they didn't seem too pushy about it, and didn't make my son wear one if he didn't want to. Also appreciated, due to his sensory issues. Now it says encouraged, but don't see many now in 2023. They do have you sign paperwork ahead, explaining that they prefer parents to stay outside the rooms, but won't enforce it if they feel strongly. But I've never seen it done, or been asked to, and they are great about me and other parents being a the child the whole time- and close by/ comforting your child during procederes. So I'm glad for that- our babies should have us by their sides during those things. We've loved going here, and glad a friend referred us!

I am giving this office one star due to concerns regarding due diligence and billing integrity…read more After checking my daughter in for a routine cleaning, I was informed that there was a $51 balance remaining from her previous visit for a sealant. I explained that I had not been told at the prior appointment that the sealant was not covered by insurance. Because the receptionist was new, another staff member stepped in to assist. I was initially told that insurance companies sometimes list services as covered on their websites when they are not. I was then told the $51 was part of my deductible and that my insurance only covered 80% of the sealant. After receiving multiple explanations, I requested to review the actual paperwork to verify the information being provided. Once the paperwork was printed and reviewed, I was informed that the previous information was incorrect. It was clarified that the office is only permitted to bill my insurance a certain contracted amount, and the sealant was, in fact, covered. Had I not asked to see the documentation, I would have paid a balance that my insurance had already covered. Additionally, I never received a copy of the paperwork I requested. I strongly encourage parents and patients to review their billing statements carefully and request documentation when there are discrepancies. Transparency and accuracy in billing are essential, and patients should not have to advocate this hard to ensure they are being charged correctly.

The initial phone call was very simple and I was able to schedule an appointment for an initial visit and cleaning and they also emailed the documents to complete prior to my visit so that I could be prepared beforehand. When we arrived, there was plenty of parking available outside. We were greeted by a friendly woman at the front desk and were able to quickly check-in and hang over our paperwork. The kids were able to play with the toys and they lit up once they saw the gaming space (one tv had Minecraft and the other had a Super Mario game.) Every single dental assistant and hygienist was VERY friendly and just so sweet and welcoming. They were so kind to my 3 year old daughter who joined me for the appointment and even included her (she has never been to a dentist just yet). Dr. Shoemaker is awesome! So bubbly and friendly, he came in and greeted us, started chatting with my son and instantly made him feel comfortable. We never once felt rushed or out of place. It was very warm and happy experience for both of my kiddos! My son's cleaning and exam was successful, then they allowed both kids to pick out a prize and even gave them balloons. They were ecstatic! Check-out was very simple and I was able to schedule our next appointments. They provide both text reminder and email reminder about appointments. Absolutely recommend 10/10. We prioritize dental care and have consistently maintained regular visits and hygiene for our children since their first teeth appeared. However, during the visit, I was surprised and uncomfortable with comments made by the dentist regarding our family's infant feeding choices, especially given the fact that my son was well past the infant feeding stage and had/has no known oral hygiene or development issues. Specifically, I was told that formula feeding from a bottle was "unfortunate" and that "this practice likes our babies breastfed". While I understand there may be clinical reasons for discussing feeding and oral development, the delivery felt judgmental and inappropriate given the context and timing. I hope the practice considers a more sensitive approach when discussing personal family decisions with patients and gets a complete medical history from parents before making them feel ashamed for their feeding decisions.
