Stress and hard work take its toll on you. So, my friend and I decided to go for a little well deserved pampering. A massage and facial were on our list of services. Leave it to Hannah and Yelp to find this exquisite day spa. We entered and were welcomed warmly and genuinely. Mandy gave us a form to fill out that asked about special areas that we wanted the masseuse to pay special attention to. I thought that was considerate. The spa is lovely with relaxing music, comfortable chairs, and the sound of the bubbling rock fountain in the background. Massages are 50 minutes and facials are forty minutes. Mandy did a great job working those muscles and relaxing my body. She kept asking if the the pressure was okay? It was perfect. She isolated different parts of the body and helped to get rid of the stress. I laid on a heated bed and the room was all decorated in purple, which happens to be my favorite color. You can tell that she is expertly trained and has lots of experience. The facial was great too. Lots of rich creams, a massage, heat, and cold to stimulate muscles. It felt good and my face was soft and smooth at the end. Mandy is very considerate, asking if I was alright with a lilac oil or where we had other options. The spa is located off of Old Georgetown Pike in Virginia. It is a little ways off the main roads. It was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone who needs some pampering. WHAT A GEM!!! Pure Spa is owned by Ms. Mandi and is located in a mini plaza, right off of Walker, in Great Falls. Services offered include various massages (Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, prenatal, and even a couples option), facials (classic, cleaning, rejuvenation, collagen, and organic), and waxing (upper lip, eyebrows, chin, full face, armpits, half/full arm, bikini line/full, Brazilian, half/full leg, back, tummy, and chest). I thought it'd be nice to do a little spa day, so I made two appointments for by bestie, JOY B. and for myself, opting for the massage & facial combo special. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly by Ms. Mandi herself! It is literally a two-person run spa, but the other employee was not available; however, we both lucked out in receiving both the spa treatments from her! You first fill out a brief information sheet with your contact information and areas of focus for the massage. You are then led to a private room where you take off as many articles of clothing as you are comfortable with. I received a deep tissue, and it was AMAZING. Ms. Mandi worked out all of the tightness I had in my neck/shoulder area, as well as loosened up my lower back. It was literally a whole body massage, from head to toe, and it was just SO SO SO AWESOME. She had great pressure and really paid attention to all of the areas that I had requested! Also, Ms. Mandi was super hyper-aware in making sure your body parts are tastefully covered, and in no way did you feel uncomfortable or fully exposed! The facial was super relaxing - the various creams and lotions that were used had a lovely scent to it, but not too overpowering, but also acted as if you were getting a soothing aromatherapy session. My face literally glowed afterwards!!! The place is super clean, smelled nice, and had a chic decor, with the purple and the silver. The music that was playing really puts you in a trance-like state, calming your state of mind. They don't have an online booking option yet, so I booked over the phone with just 1-day's notice. I walked in for my appointment today, and they were ready for me early. I filled out my form and was taken back to a massage room. Lyn was my massage therapist. She verbally confirmed my problem points from my intake form and went right to work. She did a quick rub of my body to get an idea of what she was working with and went for the quicker problem point first - my tight calves - so she wouldn't run out of time working on my problematic upper back. While she spent a little time on individual knots, she worked on each muscle group as a system, which provided greater relief than massage therapists who only work out individual knots. I was wondering if she saw the prior injuries I listed on the intake. She did. For once, a massage therapist finally didn't have to be reminded of prior dislocations. She was very gentle with my injuries, while still being effective at working out the knots in those regions. By far the best massage I've had in NoVA. My mom and I came here to get the Beauty Package (50 min facial + 50 min massage) together and had a wonderful experience. We were warmly welcomed when we first came in, and promptly taken to the room in preparation for the massage. We did not have to wait at all. The massage was very relaxing, Lynn (my masseuse) did a great job getting out the knots in my neck. My mom also enjoyed her massage. The pressure was perfect for both massages and the ladies were so nice and communicated well, checking to made sure we were comfortable with the amount of pressure. I booked an appointment with Pure Spa after going through a few stressful weeks at work. This was my very first massage ever, and there's a 100% chance that I'll be back! This place is everything you could want for your massage needs . I love 40 minutes away & will only go here because they're that good. First , the spa is so spotless . Second , the staff is so professional and kind. I had Vicky as a massage therapist & she was amazing and took her time. My mom had Mindy (I believe this was her name, she's the owner) & my mom did not stop talking about how she walked in with back & shoulder pain & left with nothing . I'm convinced they pay for their reviews, I booked an appointment for my partner to have a massage today , mind you I paid by credit card in advance, the first red flag was, who I believe was the owner asking me if I was paying my tip over the phone or in cash, which I told her I would in cash however why would you even mention a tip for a service that hasent even been preformed yet.... So I drop my boyfriend off for his massage this morning , then the time came for me to pick him up and I'm being told the lady who did the massage not only did a mediocre massage but that she was demanding a tip before he leave. Mind you I was already coming in with a tip, so not only was the service not up to par but your also demanding a tip from my partner when I already had said I was bringing it in cash, this lady is very lucky she even received a tip. I do not recommend this place, super unprofessional and not worth the money. When I booked a classic facial I was expecting a general exfoliation, skin extraction and pack, but these guys did a terrific job, not only the facial went well but Manda also gave me an amazing complimentary head, upper back and hands massage with lavender oil. My mom and I came here for the massage and facial package (each 50 minutes). The price is GREAT only $120 dollars each person because of a promotion that was going on. We both loved the massages it was amazing Mandi got all the knots out and was very professional and great at her job. Our facials were okay, but we wish they had been more thorough because our pores weren't very cleaned out and the machine they used to vacuum the pores doesn't work as well as doing it by hand. Also she put a lot of product on the eyelids which normally is an area to be avoided as it is sensitive and can burn. That said, for the price the experience was worth it and we would definitely return for another massage! A great little place! read more

She reassured me that my therapist Betty was very good and she was not joking. I do regular massages with my therapist in Rockville and she is at par with her. Technique and stretching were incorporated by Betty to relieve my aching muscles from hiking. Strong Betty is very skilled and would always check if massage is too hard and if I was ok. DefPro! I am a fan and would definitely come back for another session. They only do by appointment and Betty definitely deserves a great tip. My husband and I got a couples deep tissue massage to treat ourselves on Valentine's day and we got it with Mandy and another lady which I think her name was Kelly. They were so welcoming and made us feel comfortable. The massage was truly amazing.. It was so much better than I had expected. I suffer from neck and shoulder pain and my husband suffers from back pain every day and when we walked out, we felt so much better. My husband said that his back was pain free which he was not used to because he's in pain all day, every day. So even though it was pain free temporarily, it was great.
