When I arrived, the girls there were busy gossiping and not friendly or even acknowledging since my stylist wasn't there. The girl that shampooed my hair while I was waiting was great and did a terrific job. My stylist went home and I had to wait on her to get to the salon. She did a terrible job on my hair and cut off way too much around my face. I told her my hair is wavy so I want long layers. I ended up with short layers to my cheek. I asked her to straighten my hair as it looked a mess but she barely did that. The straightener was not even warm. She had left my hair uneven in the back which had to be fixed. I came home and straightened my own hair and fixed the choppy layers around my face. I never leave a bad review but highly disappointed with my experience as I don't get hair cuts often. read more

My son and I like my hairstylist Tonya. You are usually in an out in a reasonable amount of time. Plus they do appointments and that is way better than sitting in line at a barbershop for 1.5 hours or guessing if they are working today. read more

Pure Style Salon has a new owner and she's super sweet! I went in during my lunch break for a trim. I also wanted to dye my hair back to my natural color. It was the perfect color and the cut was beautiful, probably one of my favorite haircuts I've ever gotten. I got some face framing layers and the attention to detail was so clear. Izzy cut and flat ironed my hair and I am SO pleased. I had dead ends that people were beginning to point out but I fear getting haircuts because I want to keep my long hair! He listened to what I want and did a wonderful job. He also gave me advice on what to use on my hair in all occasions: for heat, in the shower, after the shower, for shine, etc. The salon is nice, they offered me a drink, they have adorable clothes (like Pink Tulip boutique clothes) at affordable rates! I'm new in town and needed a quick trim due to a really busy schedule. My hair was long with very long layers. I initially stopped in at a nearby Great Clips which had just opened and they were opened on a Monday. I know you are cringing at the mention of Great Clips. A simple trim turned into a choppy nightmare. I went home in shock and searched Yelp for a salon near me. I was prepared to leave a frantic message but Angela answered and assured me she would help. A day later, I have a great cut, albeit shorter than planned. Angela is a miracle worker!!! She was able to blend a lopsided mess into a precision cut. Upon arriving, Staff was sweet, personable and HONEST. Brittany and Izzy provided a consultation prior to services. Both took their time, never rushed and paid very close attention to us both. The owner, Mrs. Angela Bradley, has been my stylist for several years now, and when she opened this as her own shop she created a calm environment that truly makes you feel at home. My haircut looked fantastic (I got layers put in, and they straightened my hair), but I was charged $25 extra AFTER buying a Groupon because I have long hair. I was really taken aback by the extra charge, but I was glad that my hair at least came out looking good. I won't go back, though, because I'm worried what the price will be without the Groupon since it ended up costing me about $55 with it. read more

She tried to rush through and when she was done I was very disappointed but didn't want her to try again and cut off more of my hair. I will not be returning. read more

I bought a Groupon for Pure Style Salon: $35 Groupon (regular price $65). When I told the hairdresser I had a Groupon deal she did tell me that the deal is only for shoulder-length hair and that there would be an extra charge from the manager because my hair is long (this was stated in the fine print). I had already bought the Groupon and was in the salon so I said that was fine. The location was perfect - very close to my home - and I really liked the hairdresser that did my hair. I was thinking to myself that I had found a good salon that I would come back to...until I went to pay. My hairdresser informed the manager that I had a Groupon and the manager said my hair was so long that they would need to charge me "extra extra". She told me that normally the price to cut my hair would be $60 or $65 and that I would not be paying enough because I only paid $35 for the Groupon. I tried to explain to her that the regular price on the Groupon said it was for $65 so it does not make sense to charge me more if it would normally cost me "$60 or $65" without the Groupon. She insisted she would have to charge me $25 more since "I only paid $35" and continued to complain about how people take advantage with the Groupon. The manager's young daughter got into the conversation and was doing the math saying if she charged me $10 or $15 more, I would still be saving some money. After arguing my point for several minutes, I agreed to pay the "extra extra" money because I just wanted to leave the place. The manager took her daughter's advice and chose to charge me $15 on top of the $35 I already paid for the Groupon. I will not be going back to this salon now if a 1-inch trim on "extra extra" long hair costs regularly $80 ($65 Groupon + $15)! I did not like the way I was treated by the manager because of using a Groupon and I do not appreciate that the manager just made up a price for the "extra" cost due to my longer than shoulder-length hair. read more
