I was drawn in by the low prices, but unfortunately you really do get what you pay for. I came in for an underarm wax, and the technician actually burned me with the wax. When I yelped from the pain, she didn't apologize or show any concern--she just dismissed it like nothing happened. There was zero accountability, zero empathy, and no sense of professionalism. Upon going here with my fiancée I noticed that the waxer was far more rougher on her than she was with me. It ultimately seemed unfair that she was straight to the point with trying to get it over with as fast as possible causing discomfort and even leaving her skin super irritated from how hot the wax was. The general redness one usually gets post-wax is called follicular edema but given that the wax was hot it removed a layer of skin almost making it look like she had red face paint on her eyebrows. On the other hand I was treated more calmly and with extra care which felt wrong given that my fiancée was treated by the waxer. read more

I've been coming to this salon for a while since I live nearby and usually get my regular eyebrow threading and lip wax without any issues. However, today was a completely different experience. A different staff member worked on me and was extremely rough throughout the service. I've been getting threading and waxing for years and have never had such a painful or careless experience. She spilled drops of hot wax on my hand and even on my nose ring, and was yanking my face around aggressively. When she pulled the wax off, it was so harsh that my entire upper lip is now swollen. I've been going to this place for about five years now , my former wax Specialist just had a baby so it's safe to say that if I walk in I am always seen promptly and or told when would be a good time to come back in case you have a favorite and it happens to be there day off . The staff is extremely personable and even with her well behaved son service is always spectacular! Idk why anyone would have anything negative to say about these hard working ladies . Horrible extensions. She used ardell lash fans on me. The ends looked extremely blunt and disgusting. She miss placed a lash so I asked her to fix it. She ripped it off and I felt my natural lashes come out with it. Therefor I was too afraid to ask her to fix them. She told me that they should last 10 days to 2 weeks. Next day two fans come out. I called to see what can be done and she didn't help. She yelled on the phone and said it was my fault, even though I was kind and respectful and tipped her. I have been a customer of this threading salon since before it moved and I've only had the best things to say. However, after my experience today I would never return and would never recommend to anyone again. The employees' children like to run around and play with the mothers as they have hot wax in their hand and deny if it gets into a customer's hair. Also, they always make comments if you have any skin conditions or pimples and try to convince you that your upper lip is disgusting and needs there service. If you say anything to them they will just speak about you in their language and laugh about it. I made the mistake of getting my eyebrows done here when the normal lady that I go to wasn't working at the salon. I had a middle-aged Asian lady who didn't seem to understand the concept of eyebrow threading, yet she works at a threading salon she kept trying to push on me to get my eyebrows waxed, however, I wasn't interested in that because I cannot get my eyebrows waxed due to pigmentation in my skin. She then proceeded to try and tell me to hold my eyebrows a certain way, which caused more pain, and I was never directed to hold my eyebrows like this at any previous experience, and I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for over 25 years. Additionally, she kept singing a song and humming in my ear throughout the entire experience, and failed to ask me if I wanted a certain shape or consult with me about my preferences . I had to stop her twice when she was doing my eyebrows because it didn't seem like she was taking any hair off yet she was just slowly moving a string of thread. After completing my eyebrows, she didn't even trim and it looks like nothing was done. I also try to explain to her how I wanted a certain clean line underneath as a girl normally does and then she asked if I just wanted it done on one which didn't make any sense to me as people would normally want their eyebrows done on each eyebrow, the same way. She then proceeded to laugh and speak with the girl next to her and their native tongue. I thought it was very rude and I thought it was another horrible experience. I walked in here at this location on a Thursday night about 7:55pm, they close at 8pm. There were 2 people working and 1 was taking care of someone, the other was at the desk ignoring me. I was ignored for about 8 mins before the woman at the desk decided to ask me to come back tomorrow. I told her no, I really needed to get my eyes done. After another 6 mins of ignoring me she decided to take me. Not only did she do a rush, terrible job, 3 days later I noticed 2 scabs on the side of my eye. She was also not very nice. If she told me she couldn't take me the minute I walked in, I would have left but to ignore me and then decide she didn't want to take me wasn't acceptable. I guess the joke was on me since she did a terrible job and cut me. Don't go to this location, they have no sense of customer service and apparently have no pride in their services. read more

Located right next to the subway stop, I got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded at an unbeatable price for the neighborhood. $5 for each service, to a total of $10 + tip. The lady is very pleasant and followed my request to not thin my brows out and gave me some nice strokes of pressure point massage as she rubs the lotion at the end of the service.
