I've had good experiences in the past, but that was a while ago, and my recent experience made me decide to not go back. I walked in wanting my outgrown gel nail polish removed (from a different salon) and replaced with regular nail polish. I don't know if that made them give me the least experienced man in the salon or what, but I've never had such a poor job done on a manicure. He was very friendly and very nice - but his hygiene was not great including having dirt underneath all of his nails. I know nail technicians don't have great nails because of the work they do, but it made me feel very uncomfortable that he was not very clean. He made one of my cuticles bleed, and it was a sloppy job complete with nail polish all over my fingers when I left. He also completely cut my fingernails down to the point where he barely had to file them. I've NEVER had anyone completely cut my fingernails off. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because he was a genuinely nice person, and I don't think he meant any harm. But unfortunately, I can no longer come here, especially since I was told at least 3 times while I was there why it would be so much better for me to get gel nail polish instead of regular. I should be able to get whatever I want at a salon and still have the same level of service. I couldn't wait to get out of there, and I wish now I had asked for a refund. read more

My nails looked so good!!!! And the lady who did them was so nice! I came in for my appointment, which was at 10, and I sat in my chair and got things going at about 10:15. And they apologized for the delay. And the lady asked about how prom was going to be and she asked to see my dress and she was super nice and sweet. And she did a design that made my nails look fabulous. Definitely best nails at prom for sure read more

My friend treated my cousin and I to manicures (although we ended up both getting pedicures instead.) They did a great job. Comfy chairs, nice ambiance, friendly staff. Seemed very clean. The only thing missing was the glass of wine, but maybe they cut that part of the service off because of Covid? Why does Covid gotta ruin *everything*? Okay, to be fair, nothing was "ruined". NEW wish i could give negative stars. they put gel on my mom without asking her and then tried to make her sound stupid by saying she wanted shellac but my mom doesn't even know what that means. she just asked for regular polish. i got a fill in which normally takes 45 mins max and took almost 2 hours. she kept getting too close to my skin and i kept flinching and then verbally told her that it was hurting me and she acknowledged what i said but then proceeded to continue which caused her to cut my thumb and bleed. that has never happened in the 3 years ive been getting my nails done. then i got charged $20 for black french tips when it said $10 color tips on the price paper. (she said the glitter was free that time) as soon as i got in the car my pinky broke and ive never broken a nail either. i lightly hit it on the seat. they look awful and dirty looking (which isnt on me) they didn't look dirty until after they were painted. pics are from one hour after they had been done. so mad. cost me $120 for a fill in and pedi. wouldn't have been mad about the price if they weren't so bad. i would've went back in if they weren't closed. read more

I hate giving bad reviews. I came in at 6pm and there was no line. I asked if they were still taking people and they said yes (they close at 8pm). I had gel on my nails and needed a gel mani. They did a good job matching my colors from the picture I had but the rest of the experience was not great. My nail tech was clearly in training or very new. She needed constant help/reassurance and towards the end my nails were all different lengths and not even painted all the way (see pic below they look grown out). The other tech came over to help so at one point I had two people working on me and saying they did so "because I was the last one of the night". They ended up putting matte top coat on my nails (didn't even know that was a thing with gel) but it was already on before I knew it. If there was no experienced tech available I would've preferred to be told to leave. On top of that I was charged more than I have paid at ambiance which is where I usually go. This is so close to my house but definitely don't recommend going. I ended up leaving at 7:35pm and there sign said closed. I'm wondering if I walked in late and their hours are just wrong in google, which is why I'm giving a 2 star not a 1. read more

My friend and I recently went to this salon, and all I can say is wow. Their pamphlets claimed that acrylics were only $32, but they charged $53!! During MY manicure, she filed my skin more than my nails. Also my nails were bumpy and uneven ON EVERY SINGLE FINGER. They didn't tell us about any of the extra fees, and their staff was rude. She also was just all around very rough and careless. Mine also took OVER an hour to do, because she kept filing MY FINGERS instead of my NAIL. For my friend, she cut them too short, so much so that she couldn't get the shape she wanted. Also she didn't tell her she had chosen a more expensive color, so she had to pay more than she had expected. read more

Stay away!!! Even when you tell them they need to be cautious - they go out of their way not to. I will never step foot in this nail salon again. They are extremely rude, yelling at customers, talking about them and turning away some customers at the door but accepting others. I asked for a dip service but walked out with uneven nails that I had to fix myself along with cuts and destroyed cuticles. They were more interested in rushing through the job and talking about the clients in the salon. The whole experience left you feeling like you were a number and not relaxing at all. read more

I went in for manicure & left with owner & wife yelling at me! Where to start... the name is deceptive...there is nothing luxurious about this place. It's dirty (dead bugs on window ledges, floors & shelves need cleaning, instruments not in sterile packaging. Then the nail tech scrapes off the shellac directly onto the station, dips the cotton ball into the cold water my hand is soaking in & squeezes it back out - back into the same bowl my hands are in. I decided not to get the shellac but just a regular manicure & it's awful! Lumpy & uneven - I told her there was still shellac on the nails & she told me it was my own nail that they are wavy. Huh? All of them? I asked for the manager & told her my dissatisfaction - NO Refunds! After being there over an hour, seriously? They can do them again...NO, who has that kinda time! As a business owner, I told them I get it, but I'm not a satisfied customer! No Refund; not our fault, they said. She & her husband said they will come to my business to find things wrong there; I welcome them as we're not perfect either; however customer service is utmost! Whatever the customer needs. This place had surprisingly high reviews for the service we had received. My friend and I dropped by about two hours before closing to get a full set of acrylics done. The lady at the counter told us to pick out a color and we would have around a 10-20 minute wait. After waiting for over an hour, and having those come in after us being waited on before us, even without an appointment themselves, we were getting fed up when finally seated down. There was about 4 people working with 7-8 people in the place wanting stuff done. Each person had around 2 or 3 people they had to work on. A gentleman started putting on the fake nails for my friend and didn't ask for what she wanted but cut them as short as they could possibly be, saying that what she wanted was invalid and incorrect. Her mother and I were not even waited on even though we signed in at the same time. We left almost 5 minutes after closing even though we were there for over 2 hours. I am not usually one to complain but I have been to Purelux Nail Spa 3 times now and left completely dissatisfied every time. Today, after making an appointment, I went in and waited almost an hour to get a fill in. Once someone finally got around to helping me, I asked her if she could do a square shape for my nails. I showed her a picture of what I had in mind and she proceeded to tell me the picture was coffin shaped. I have been getting acrylic nails for many years now, both coffin and square. I know the difference and the picture I showed her was most definitely square. I told her I did not want the coffin shape and I just wanted them to be square, forget the picture. She shaped my nails somewhere between coffin and square and still charged me for the coffin shape. While filing my nails, the woman filed the skin of my fingers as well. I kept pulling away telling her it hurt and she proceeded to ignore me and shape them the way I didn't even want her to shape them. This place is careless and absolutely overpriced. I can go down the street to another nail salon in Loveland and get the same thing for nearly half the price, nicer staff, and leave far more satisfied. read more

I really want to like this place, but they've been more disappointment than satisfaction. Twice they've told me they 'have time' for a pedi and I've waited over an hour. Last time, my daughter who came in with me waited an additional 1/2 hour for a nail tech after being told they could do her mani. Viktoria did my pedi last time and it was terrible (painfully rough - and I'm tough, cut my toenails unevenly with fingernail clippers that were not in a sanitized pouch..yikes). They're wonderfully kind and seem very accommodating when you arrive, and we go often for eyebrow waxing (which is generally great!). But I'd go elsewhere for nails. Again, I want to like this place, it's close to my house and their hours are convenient. read more

The nail service is ok... but beware the wait. They put you in pedicure chairs while you wait- which sort of "traps" you to stay well beyond quoted time...they seem understaffed given their growing client base as they are conveniently located to many neighborhoods. I've now had three experiences (twice as a walk-in) where the wait is misquoted and I'm there for in excess of two hours. Most recently, I made an appointment and was told the wait would be 30-45 minutes when I arrived. If there is no wait- it's an ok place...they do a decent job... I hope they hire more technicians to avoid losing clients due to reliability-especially in honoring appointments. read more
