After he refused to refund me, I made sure to educate him on how to run a business. If you believe you can deliver a promise, by all means do it. If you are unsure, then don't promise the customer something you're unsure of. He became disgruntled after I called him out on it. At the end of the day, he didn't want to refund me a for a job that was clearly not completed/and or failed at. Be weary of promised not fulfilled.

When he was actually working on the truck, he seemed rushed and was still on the phone. The truck came back from this "detail" with dirty vents, water spots on the screen and gauge cluster, a dirty windshield, and missed spots all over the carpet. The fender wells were untouched, the rims were still filthy, and the paint still had a lot of road grime on it. It clearly hadn't been clay barred. In fact, some of the grime came off easily just by rubbing it with my hand, which shows the lack of care that went into the job. When they followed up about the wash and asked to schedule my other cars, I gave them the opportunity to come back and fix the issues. To be fair, it was dark by the time he finished, so I didn't notice the problems until the next day. After several messages trying to resolve it, they blocked me and stopped responding. Mistakes can happen, but blocking a customer instead of addressing the problem is unacceptable. Definitely not worth paying premium detailing prices for this level of service.

I'm giving three stars, however, because they also left the inside of my car and the floor mats wet, such that when I used my car after having it parked in my building's parking garage for 36 hours I had to air it out as best as I could while driving on the freeway because it stank of mildew. The reason I had them detail the interior was driven by the fact that I'd found mold on the carpeting, so that defeated the purpose. I thought I had called Golden State Auto Salon -- who last detailed my car a few years ago and were awesome -- my mistake. I'll never make that mistake again. I regret tipping them on top of the $550 interior + exterior cost, as stinky odor aside as they missed quite a few details, e.g. there were plenty of smudges and glue marks on the inside of my windshield still and the tops of the windows have a cloudy line across them.
