I requested services from PuroFirst for a crawl space clean out. I will start by saying they were prompt and had availability which lead me to using their services. When providing the service the two men who were in the crawl space broke ductwork in my crawlspace and did not properly repair it before leaving. Had I not heard them arguing about fixing it I would have never known it was them that did it as they never once mentioned it before leaving that day. It was 3-4 days later when I began to hear scurrying inside my HVAC. I began to try and find an entry point only to enter my crawl space to find my ductwork laying on the ground. I contacted Doug that same night, he apologized and had people out to fix the ductwork the next morning but failed to address the scurrying rodents in the HVAC. After further communication he put me in contact with David Jones. After a few days Doug and one of the gentlemen who damaged the ductwork came out to lay traps, look at damage, etc. As of today the rodent has not been trapped. It has been stuck on the glue trap and escaped. I contacted to see if there was anything else they could do at which point I was told by Doug that they set traps out of courtesy not obligation and they are not accepting accountability for the rodents. We had our dishwasher have a malfunction and leak water all over the kitchen floor and sub floor all the way into our basement. These folks where the top pick of our Insurance company so we gave them a shot. They came right out to house tore old floor out and put fans in kitchen and basement to dry things out for couple days (it was crazy loud). The insurance folks checked things out and we are the proud family of a new floor. We did have a couple things come up out of the ordinary but their Team came up with solutions to remedy those things. Just make sure to follow their instructions on picking mm size of floor out. Do NOT use this fraudulent company! They claim to be the BEST! Maybe in their own minds they are! Stay as far away from them as you can get! They took an entire summer & fall to finish a two-week, max, job! They were SLOPPY, IRRESPONSIBLE, CARELESS, & UNCARING! Considered this job a "side-job," while they focused on bigger ones! They sent "clowns" to paint & stain walls & doors, who came at NIGHT! Working LATE, in the DARK, using just a flashlight for light! Seriously??? And, being VERY LOUD & UNPROFESSIONAL, not caring that family was trying to sleep! One family member is terminally ill , too! It goes on & on & on with these clowns! The "boss," is NEVER there! Checks in with you, every few weeks, via a text msg from his fancy truck, that he's been by to CHECK on things. He literally just takes 5 minutes to "check" on things!! Don't know WHAT he's checking on? No works been done for WEEKS, & NO workers are around! Then, would not see him or his so-called workers again for WEEKS!!! They were told my things in storage & MUST be out of storage & come back to property by Oct 31st. Guess when-this company FINALLY- FINISHED (in their minds), the job? & a SLOPPY FINISH, at that ... Purofirst is a disaster of a service. You expect them to come and help after a disaster but are left with a far bigger dilemna. They offer no professionalism and will not take any pride in their work or responsibility for their actions. After six attempts, they simply could not do a decent job to repair a fence. The pictures are their best attempt. Upon working on my roof, they left a massive mess of dirt and debri all over my belongin gs in my attic and did not tarp the roof while working on it. They left it alone while it poured down rain, leaving me with water stains on my living room ceiling. They damaged concrete by my outdoor steps but did not repair it. They used MY tools without asking and entered my shed to get them. They kept (stole) my extension cords after unplugging them. They had two no-shows. Purofirst used old fence pickets during their first attempt to replace my fence, despite being paid for all new ones. They did not use concrete for the fence posts, despite being paid to. Management was rude, cold, and incredibly unprofessional. I was told to fix the water stains that they caused. "Get your boyfriend or whatever and a gallon of paint and do it yourself." I was told they aren't responsible for damages their employees cause. They did not correctly replace a back door either and left a two to three inch gap between the door and the floor. They left screws, pickets, and even their lunch trash laying around the yard. After being fired, they continued entering my property and refused to leave. They stated that I didn't understand and they had to finish the job. My insurnace company actually stopped using Purofirst after having to deal with them and their issues. This past Monday night's two hour downpour and hail in LaGrange left us with over one and a half feet of water in our basement! It was a disaster....even broke the outside basement door from the water pressure against it! Called PuroFirst the next morning and they were here within a couple of hours to assess the damage, take pictures, and determine what to do. The following morning at 8 am sharp, a crew of at least eight people arrived to move boxes, totes, furniture, etc., in order to clean and spray the basement. They were hard working and went about their jobs with determination to do a job and do it well! I cannot say enough good about Justin, Stacey, Amber, Travis, and Bones (Ron), and the rest of the crew whose names I can't recall! It was a job that would have taken weeks doing it on my own and they had it accomplished by 2:30 the same day! Thank you, PuroFirst! I just wanted to let anyone else who finds themselves in a position such as I did on Thanksgiving day I heard a noise a splat,splat,and to my surprise I discovered i had a water leak of course I couldn't call a plumber that day because of the holiday but I did promptly at 8 a.m. the next day well the plumber couldn't get out here for 2 more days so I just kept my water turned off until then and when he did come to my house he said you don't just have 1 water leak you have 8 water leaks WOW but if anyone who knows me knows I don't do anything small always BIG lol I have to laugh about it now one positive thing about this I am going to get brand new kitchen cabinets and counter top and floor my house is a disaster right now can't wait to get it all fixed but it takes time I know I also called my homeowners insurance and told them what was going on they hooked me up with aTOP NOTCH company which came out the next day we spoke to a nice gentleman name Art who explained what they were going to do and immediately put fan's where I had the leaks at the fan's stayed on for 5 day's they were extremely loud but it was so worth it 2 nice youngmen came today to pick up the fan's and of course so NICE and POLITE if anyone else in the J-town area or Louisville area and find yourself in my position do yourself a favor call Purofirst you will be HAPPY you did.. read more

I would not recommend. We had a terrible time with Purofirst. We had a very traumatic fire in the middle of the night, we both got injured. Purofirst pounced on us when we went back to our place in the morning after no sleep and being in the ER for 4 hours. They make every thing sound great and we will clean all your stuff that can be salvaged. We did not get a list of things that could be cleaned to pre-loss condition instead they lost some of our very personalized belongings that can't be replaced. When we went to get our stuff, thank god we opened the boxes there in the warehouse and compared what was inside to the list of inventory they gave. I would recommend EVERYONE do this! They gave us back ruined, melted pictures and said the frames could not be salvaged. Some of those frames were very expensive wedding gifts. You go and try to talk to them about this and they think you are there just to get more money. It was extremely insulting and heartbreaking that a company who is suppose to help acted in this way. This was a horrible business to deal with. First of all, the guy showed up during our house fire. When my son arrived in school, purofirst guy made a comment about how/where fire started. The way he said it made my son think it was all his fault and he was devastated. We agreed to have them board up roof and windows. What ticked me off was they came into the house without telling us when they would be there. They just started packing stuff up. It was done haphazardly and they boxed up stuff that was completely ruined. They dumped my nightstand drawers on the ground. I believe they packed my medical tens unit. My room was completely black from soot and there was no way to clean these items but they packed them. We were charged over $1,000! I think it's a scam because they just sent a bill to our insurance company who immediately paid it despite the fact that they basically packed up GARBAGE. Beware of this company! read more

We requested a company from our insurance company when my daughters house flooded from a water line breaking in the ceiling, they came out immediately with a dumpster and fans and dryers torn out the bath room in the first 2 days , and a few small pieces in the rooms but after 7 days they still would not remove the fallen drywall in the mechanic room or the bedroom, the 1 employee said it was all wet and had to come out but was instructed to leave it and don't take it out ? My daughter questioned him too, (Why leave soaking wet drywall in the house when it's supposed to be removed so the fans and dryers can air dry the attic) after 3 days I called Shane but no response, after questioning him about the dry wall he got mad and said how about I come get my equipment and I said fine , he came and took all his equipment and left and sent me a bill for 7900.00.
